Benefits & Use Cases
This thermal coffee maker excels in environments where quality and convenience intersect. The absence of a hot plate means no risk of overheating that can dull acidity or burn off subtle nuances in specialty beans. Instead, coffee remains naturally hot and aromatic throughout the day—ideal for those who sip slowly or share with family. Its programmable timer integrates seamlessly into hectic schedules: set it while showering, leave for work, or prepare overnight for an uninterrupted start. The thumb-activated lid adds ergonomic ease during pouring, reducing spills and frustration. For small gatherings, brunches, or solo relaxation, this brewer adapts to your rhythm without sacrificing taste.
Unlike conventional machines that cool rapidly due to exposed reservoirs, the double-wall carafe acts like a vacuum flask, minimizing heat loss. This design not only enhances flavor preservation but also reduces reliance on reheating—cutting down on bitter, recycled notes. Combined with customizable brew strength, users gain full control over extraction profiles, whether favoring bright, clean light roasts or deep, syrupy dark blends. The included #4 cone filters ensure hassle-free setup, though additional packs are available separately for heavy daily use.
Beyond performance, the machine supports sustainable habits. By eliminating the need for constant reheating, it conserves electricity compared to models with persistent warming plates. The stainless steel carafe resists staining and odors better than plastic alternatives, maintaining hygiene with minimal effort. Cleanup is straightforward thanks to dishwasher-safe components—though handwashing prolongs the carafe’s luster.
Important Notes
- The starter kit contains #4 cone filters; purchase additional filters if brewing multiple pots regularly.
- Reusable metal mesh filters are not recommended unless explicitly confirmed as compatible with the cone basket design.
- Always rinse the thermal carafe and brew basket after each use to prevent residue buildup and maintain optimal function.
- Do not place the carafe on external heat sources (e.g., stovetops) to avoid warping or damage.
- Ensure the power cord remains dry and unobstructed to guarantee safe operation.

No more broken carafes and great coffee too
Replaced the cheap coffee maker out in the shop again because the carafe costs as much as a new complete unit. Great to have a metal carafe that wonât break when I drop it or it gets knocked of the food island out in the shop. Also it makes great coffee. I purchased screens from Amazon so I donât have to use paint filters or remember to buy the paper ones that take the flavor out.

Perfect so far!
By William R. Sawyer on March 20, 2018Size: 10 Cup Thermal CarafeI read over the reviews and comments before buying this coffee maker and found the ratings OK but not overwhelmingly great. I have had the unit only a few days but so far here’s what I can tell you, A number of comments cited “design flaws” I found none but when there are differences in your past coffee maker many do not like the change. I found the coffee to be very hot and the coffee was fully drinkable after 3-6 hours if the carafe is at least half full and needed no reheating (again this is a matter of preference but I don’t like tepid coffee) When lifting the front tab at the top the basket is revealed and it in turn lifts the cover to the water reservoir at the rear and conveniently holds the back lid up making it easy to fill the reservoir from either side. The markings on the side are easy to read to fill to the number of cups you want to make (remember the ten cup mark on the side will actually cups not ounces as the traditional cup of coffee standard is 5-6 measured ounces. I found slightly over 6 fluid ounces filled to the “10” on the side). The LED clock is brighter that it need be but generally the maker is in the kitchen as mine is so I have no problem, The clock was easy to set and so far works well. I will not use the auto set-up as I am not in a tight routine where I need it. My maker brews a pot in about 12 minutes and shuts down perfectly. I had a Gevalia coffee maker for over ten years and found the cone filters to be excellent. Some had complained coffee overflowed but remember fine grinds with cone filters use less coffee! I use only Gevalia ground coffee and three level scoops works for me on a full pot of coffee! The carafe is all metal inside -no coatings so any flakes of residue is from coffee scaling – clean every few months and should have no problems. I use “Cleancafe” cleaner from Gevalia to clean carafes and it seems to work better than other homemade solutions – again just a matter of preference.I found it hard to find a cone filter maker with a thermal carafe difficult to find i This is a perfect fit so far – now if it will just last over 10 years!

Great machine, couple things are different from normal…
Coffee turns out great, has three settings of “Regular”, “Bold” and “Robust”. Steel carafe is very nice and solid, no worries about dropping and shattering. Looks good, I like the blue light and the timer feature. Very happy with the purchase.A couple things are different:1) the plate underneath does not stay on for long; carafe is apparently designed to keep coffee hot, which is does reasonably well – but not for as long as with coffee makers where the plate stays hot until you turn it off. This is a minus for some, but a plus for me because if I forget about it I don’t return an hour later to burnt, sludgy coffee. So I’m fine with that.2) Don’t try pouring a cup before the pot is brewed, because when you remove the pot the brewing coffee will keep dripping and you’ll have to wipe up the underplate later. All other machines I’ve had (other than single-cup Senseo, of course), stop dripping when you remove the pot, resuming when you place it back in. I like to jump the gun and pour some before the pot is done, so that’s a slight negative for me.

Great coffee maker for the cost. See review re: timer problems
After years of using fresh ground coffee in an Aeropress, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to drink drip coffee again. But this coffee maker make a great pot of coffee everytime.Perhaps it’s the cone filter that makes a better cup than basket filters. I use a mesh filter rather than a paper filter and have been very pleased. The thermos/pot keeps the coffee warm enough for me to drink for up to 4 hours. And the fact that it seals well means I can take the entire pot with me to work when I leave in the morning. The entire machine fits under my cabinets and doesn’t take up too much counter space.Several other reviews mention problems with the clock gaining time. I thought this must be a user error after months of use with no problems. But I finally experienced it myself. I came home one day to find that all the digital clocks in my house were flashing. Except the one on the coffee maker and it was hours ahead. I assume that the power flashed during the day. I reset everything and went about my regular business. But after that I noticed that the coffee maker clock was ahead time and time again. After several days of this happening I tried unplugging the coffee maker and counting to 10 before plugging it back in. When I plugged it back in I noticed that it had not lost its time setting. So I unplugged it again and left it unplugged for several hours. When I plugged it back in that time, the clock was reset. This apparently resolved the problem. I see this as a minor inconvenience and not enough of a problem to remove a full star. I wish 1/2 stars were an option.Overall, this is a great little coffee maker that I would purchase again.

Does not keep the coffee hot
I am very disappointed in this product. If you like me want to wake to the smell of fresh coffee and then drink it throughout the day, instead of hassling with Keurig’s all day, this is NOT for you. The pot does not keep the coffee hot enough and t gets cool pretty fast. They even recommend filling the pot with hot water before brewing which I now have to do, but it still gets cold. Kind of silly for the first scenario – I guess they want you to set you alarm early, fill the pot with hot water, then set the timer, then go back to bed and wait for it to start! I wish it had a hot plate warmer. I gave it 1 star because it looks nice!

Muy buena cafetera.

fonctionne très bien
Falcony –

The ideal serving temperature for coffee is between 130 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit. This machine pumps out coffee at 174 degrees, cooling to 147 after 30 minutes in the carafe. The coffee was still 147 degrees after 70 minutes. That’s perfect, in my book. The water measurement scale on the side of the machine denotes small cup sizes. I get two full (2 cups/480 ml) when I fill the watermark to “6”.The strength button works. I find robust to be too strong, but others may love it. “Bold” is perfect for me. I suggest 1 tbs per 240 MLS of water. Your taste may vary.Bottom line: This is a good machine. Those suggesting the coffee is too cold either enjoy coffee served at higher than standard temperatures or had faulty units.I recommend this machine.
