Back not sticky
I was expecting these to be sticky on the back, they are not. It is a plastic type backing that adheres to the surface. I used them on old, pretty torn up stairs to a basement. I didn’t not think they would stay put without an actual sticky backing but they have worked wonderfully. They provide a nice padding and protection from the old, worn wooden stairs. Plus it looks a heck of a lot nicer!!!

Gets dirty easily
I got these to help my stairs look better and provide support so people won’t slip. It is good for the support aspect, but they get very linty and then it doesn’t seem to sweep or vacuum off easily. So it looks kind of dingy and the part that sticks to the stairs seems to be peeling up a bit on the sides already. We cleaned the steps before adding them. Had them about a month. So I wish the sticky part was a bit stronger. Otherwise, they were super easy to install and like I said they have helped with slipping so not horrible overall.

Great product
These carpet pieces work great on my stairs. They look nice and they are soft to walk on. Best of all they were easy to install with no mess and only a few minutes to install the whole package. I love them!!! I would only change them to make them about 2 inches longer. My stairs are 34 inches wide.

These look fine when you first apply them. But with a week of traffic they fray and leave strings of fiber everywhere. Not worth it.

I love them
I used to hate having to go down into my basement, the stairs looked like they would be in a horror movie. It is amazing what 2 cans of paint and new stair runners can do. I love them, I vacuum them with light suction, and it does the trick at keeping them clean. I don’t know why a few people on here are WASHING them!! getting surprised that they don’t stick anymore. please ignore those reviews. they are not made to be washed and dried. Just clean and dry surface is all that is needed, mine haven’t moved with 2 dogs, my boyfriend and myself running up and down them multiple times a day, and they have been on 30+ days now.

Easy Peasy and Pretty too.
When my senior dog started slipping more easily, I knew I’d have to come up with a solution so my dog wouldn’t slip on my wooden stairs; I bought these stair treads and found them so easy to put on my steps. They adhered nicely and look good too. I am very pleased.

I LOVE the idea of the slip mats , it also helped make walking up our steps a little more quieter BUT I wish the stick back it has would last a little longer ! Personally Iâm not gonna buy the product from any one else because I love these ones , but the stick back could last a little longer !
