$249.99
Product Overview
The All-Clad D3 3-Ply Stainless Steel Large Frying Pan is a premium 7-quart cookware essential designed for both home cooks and serious culinary enthusiasts. Engineered with a three-layer bonded construction, this pan delivers fast, even heat distribution across its expansive surface—eliminating hot spots and ensuring consistent results whether you’re simmering a delicate béchamel or searing a large cut of meat. Its high, rounded sides make it ideal for recipes that require constant stirring, tossing, or whisking, such as risotto, polenta, and creamy sauces. Whether preparing a family-sized meal or entertaining guests, the generous capacity and versatile design support efficient one-pan cooking with professional-grade performance.
Constructed from durable stainless steel on both interior and exterior surfaces, the pan resists corrosion, staining, and pitting over time. The aluminum core sandwiched between the layers ensures rapid thermal response and uniform heat transfer, while the flat base guarantees excellent contact with all stovetop types—including induction. With oven-safe capabilities up to 600°F and compatibility with broilers, this frying pan seamlessly transitions from stovetop to oven, enabling advanced cooking techniques like finishing sauces under the broiler or baking casseroles directly in the pan.
Designed with practicality in mind, the ergonomically shaped riveted handles provide a secure grip, even when handling heavy loads or wearing oven mitts. While dishwasher safe for convenience, hand washing is recommended to preserve the polished finish and extend the lifespan of the stainless steel surface. This pan is sold individually and does not include a lid unless specified separately.

Benefits & Use Cases
This All-Clad frying pan excels in scenarios where consistent heat and ample cooking space are critical. Its deep, wide profile is especially suited for stirred dishes like risotto, polenta, and custards, where frequent agitation is necessary to achieve the desired texture. The flat bottom ensures optimal contact with heating elements, promoting efficient energy use and even browning—ideal for searing proteins or caramelizing vegetables. Because it can withstand high oven temperatures and broiler exposure, it’s perfect for starting a dish on the stovetop and finishing it in the oven, such as baking lasagna or creating a crispy-topped casserole.
The stainless steel interior doesn’t react with acidic ingredients like tomatoes or wine, preserving the flavor integrity of sauces and reductions. Unlike non-stick alternatives, this pan offers superior durability and scratch resistance, provided metal utensils are avoided. Wooden, silicone, or nylon tools are recommended to maintain the surface finish.
Whether you’re cooking a quiet weeknight dinner or hosting a dinner party, this pan supports streamlined, one-pot preparation with restaurant-quality results. Its professional-grade construction ensures long-term reliability, making it a valuable addition to any well-equipped kitchen.
Important Notes
While the pan is dishwasher safe, All-Clad recommends hand washing to maintain the mirror-like polish and prevent potential warping from extreme temperature fluctuations. To avoid damage, do not place the empty pan directly into the dishwasher or expose it to sudden cold water after heating. Although not explicitly stated, due to its heavy-gauge construction, this pan may be heavier than standard non-stick or aluminum cookware, which could affect maneuverability for some users. It is sold as a single unit—lids and other accessories must be purchased separately unless included in a bundle.

Excellent and versatile large pan
All-Clad items can be pricey, but in my experience they deliver what you pay for. This large 3-layer stainless steel plan is no exception. You can saute or fry in it, and it’s great for pretty much anything that requires a large surface and uniform heat across the surface. Cleaning is easy especially if you allow some soak time with hot soapy water. (For any stubborn stains Bon Ami powder works great.) Finally, it’s fully compatible with an induction cooktop, as you’d expect from the multi-layer All-Clad pots and pans.

Love this Sunday supper pan
This pan is labeled as a Sunday supper pan. But it has far more uses. My planned uses are for stir fry, paella, roasted vegetables, and for one pot meals. The pan is large, but not as heavy as it looks. This pan will be used many times. Especially during the holidays.

Needed a big one, and this is it.
OK, premium bucks for a premium brand, but it is all quality. Very few pans of this size are available at any price.

Really shipped direct from all-clad?
I love all-clad, but this didnât seem to be the quality of my other pans. The lid had all weird scuff like marks all around it on arrival. The inside of the pan had a mark as well. There was no warranty card inside like there usually is. I mean itâs probably still a great pan when I get around to using it, but Iâd expect better for the price.

It is a lifetime pan
A bit on the pricey end however, it should last a few lifetimes if cared for as a professional or good home cook would.

Exceptional professional cookware.
There is cookware that gets the job done and nothing moreâ¦â¦ and then there is cookware that is truly world class and a thing of beauty. All Clad products fit into the second group. When you hear the brand All Clad, you know youâre getting the best of the best and their reputation is the highest. If you want top of the line professional Cookware that will impress as well as perform, then your choice will be All Clad. Iâve researched both Caraway and All Clad cookware and most sources agree that All Clad is superior. This pan is truly a thing of beauty. Gorgeous and shiny, this 3 ply stainless 7 Quart pan with lid will fry up your chicken, make your stir fry to perfection, or make a roast absolutely delicious.I love that itâs big enough to hold food for an entire large family and I love that I can put this pan right in the oven. Itâs even broiler safe, which other pans canât claim. Thereâs no long handles taking up room either in the oven or in your cabinet. The side handles are double riveted and I have no fear that they will loosen while Iâm holding the pan. The hamburgers I cooked in this pan on my first use cooked evenly and cleanup was a breeze. If you are looking for professional cookware with superior durability that will not only last throughout your life but can even be passed down to your kids (yes, All Clad is that good), then add this beautiful piece to your cooking collection.

Trusted Brand
When I got married 13 years ago, I was gifted a set of all clad pans, they are still in use in my kitchen today and so I trust this brand. This pan is no exception. It cooks great, washes great, and is super heavy/sturdy. It’s advertised for things like sauces/risotto, and it works perfect for those…But for my family of 6 I also find if I lower the heat, I can cook a lot of hamburgers, pancakes or grilled cheese sandwiches as well! Making this pan one of our go- to staples now. Excellent quality!

Lighter than expected
I’ve always used cast iron and carbon steel for my cookware but figured I’d give stainless a shot. Given the size of the pan, it’s lighter than I expected. Thinner as well. I guess that’s where D5 comes in. I figure most folks prefer that a pan, of this size, be relatively light. So far so good but I do worry about warping. Out of the box and after a few uses, it’s nice and flat on the bottom though.
