The all-around, everyday pan for making delicious meals after work, the Weeknight Pan can wear many hats in the kitchen. With its wide base, it can be the go-to for searing and browning meats. Or it can use its sloped, rounded sides to simmer stews or saucy entrees. It’s the ideal pan for preparing easy, one-pan meals during the week and making meals ahead during the weekend. As part of our D3 Collection, this Weeknight Pan features a bonded tri-ply construction made with a responsive aluminum core pressed together with 2 layers of durable, stainless steel all the way around the surface, for fast and even heat. At 4 quarts, it’s big enough for those no-fuss one-pot meals and leaves you with enough for next day’s lunch. To keep your All-Clad looking brand new, we recommend washing your cookware with a soap and sponge instead of the dishwasher. Like all our bonded cookware, it’s handmade in the USA at our Canonsburg, PA factory with ultra-durable materials that’ll last a lifetime and never go out of style. A flat, stainless-steel lid is included to help lock in moisture. Handles & handle loops are made in China.

Worth it
This pan is built to be your daily driver on the stovetop. On my gas range, it heats fast when I put the spurs to itâmy usual starting point. Then I ease the heat down, add some (olive) oil, and itâs ready to cook in nonstick mode. The 4-quart size is just right for stir-fry, pasta for four, or braising with the lid in the oven. The curved sides make whisking a breeze, whether itâs a simple sauce or a creamy béchamel (think sausage gravy for biscuits). Forget the imported dupesâthis All-Clad is worth it. Reliable, versatile, and built to last.

Works great as supossed to
Perfect great price seemed âlike newâ and have loved using it metal cover can be useful Iâd also suggest getting a splatter screen but itâs deep so needs one less. My chemist connection explained to me âstainless steelâ doesnât exactly mean that ane could use various products to clean it but a little discoloration is normal. It didnât take much to clean even (my fault) burned on food coated spots, for example. And the picture color isnât perfectly accurate (photo makes it look worse off color) it does have streaks similar to streaks on glass that I could have buffed up more. LOVE this amazingly useful and satisfying-to-use panDownsides?Cost: but I love this se-seller mine appears new (like new?) at a great price!Itâs a little heavy. This isnât a fault just a factor. Itâs big and layered steel (the middle aluminum layer helps distribute heat evenly and why itâs called a âcladâ panâ¦âall cladâ looks like invented this or coined the term at minimum!).If totally full it will be heavy Iâd hot mitt and use the opposing handle too (which it has). Two hands on the strong arm handle is possible but awkward even if only small stuff in it. Itâsâ¦what it is. If it was lighter â¦. It wouldnât have the same materials that work great and size.I like the style of the all metal lid classic and have used it but some like plexiglass I mentioned on any case a splatter screen (check diameter) always good to have again Iâm good!!If it was smaller it would be lighter and easier to handle but then I couldnât confidently make a huge pan/pot of spaghetti sauce from ground beef to all other ingredients one pan/pot (this one) nearly full no problem. COULD have emptied and boiled pasta in it too but did use separate pot for that ;-)One pan to rule them all!

Everyday Pan is Every. Day. Pan.
TL;DR – IF you know how to cook with stainless-steel, this might be the only pan you use for 99% of your meals.I bought this pan in July of 2019, after finally getting a kitchen remodel and a new glasstop range. I’ve now been using it for over 6 months, so it’s time for some thoughts.First, this is NOT A NON-STICK PAN. It’s not supposed to be. If you cook without oil, or at too high of a temperature, you will not get good results. If you use this pan properly, food sticking in an unwanted manner is not a problem. You will get lots of beautiful brown bits for your pan sauce, and easy clean up in the dishwasher.Stainless steel needs to be preheated, usually 5 or 10 minutes, then add your oil, swirling to coat the pan, followed by the food. I have only used higher than Medium heat (4 out of 10) on my GE Range a few times for things like searing steaks or stir-fry. For most purposes, Medium is as high as you need to go, as this pan heats very evenly and retains that heat for a great, even cook edge to edge.Second, size. This is a pretty hefty pan, do not expect to be able to easily toss as you sauté. The high sloping sides are beautiful for pouring, making sure that sauté splatter is minimized, and finishing off one-pot recipes on a simmer. 4-quarts means weeknight chili-o with several cans of beans is easily handled without using a dutch oven or large pot.Third, cleaning. I recommend wiping this pan out as soon as you are done with it, and giving it a quick scrub while it’s still warm (not hot, warm) if you have particularly clingy sauces. See the photo with the gnocchi for an example of a sticky dish. Most of the time it goes in the dishwasher after a quick rinse and comes out clean. Over time it can develop a cloudy unpolished look, but a quick polish with Barkeep’s Friend will have it looking like new.Overall, from the moment I opened the box and felt the balance and heft, to now over six months and at least one hundred meals prepared later, I have never doubted whether it was worth spending $180 for a pan. It’s my everyday pan, and the one I love the most. 5/5 stars.

Gorgeous, universal pan
I think it should be noted that this is a large pan and a little heavier than I expected. I received mine today and haven’t used it yet but was surprised at the size. Need lots of room for storage. That being said, it is a beautiful pan of quality construction and the shape will allow it to be a universal pan. I hope to purchase a saucepan and fry pan soon but will check the size and weight more carefully.

Excellent Stainless Steel cookware
I needed a stainless steel fry pan a bit larger than my 12 inch skillet for preparing larger meals and this fits the bill. All the usual AllClad D3 quality in a larger package. Still easy to handle despite the size.

All-Clad consistently excellent
Have been using All-Clad pots and pans for decades; got this new one to replace a different brand; sleek and shiny, a little on the heavy side but the heating is even and consistent. Easy to clean after a short soak in soapy water (and I cook everything from meats to noodles to stir-fries), especially compared to our cast-irons which are also our go-to cookware types. So happy to have this company continue to deliver on a quality product.

I was delighted how well it cooked all my fish and meat.Delivery was earlier than expected. It has been a positive experience. Thanks to a food blogger Xiao Gao Jie who demo different types of pans of different materials and brands. Took her reccomendation to get an All Clad pan and it is all worth the trouble to indent it from US.
