Perfect stools
We just love these stools. We’ve had stools at our island countertop for 5 years and thought they were fine. But we sat in these stools at a New Year’s Eve party at a friend’s house and fell in love with them. They are sleek and beautiful, inviting, comfortable, easy to swivel…there’s something inviting and pleasing about them. When we got home, we hated our old stools. Ordered 1 of these as a test, and immediately ordered 3 more and we are SO happy. Assembly is simple, instructions are easy to follow, and they even include extra screws. The whole kitchen feels better with these stools! A great value, we couldn’t be happier.

Looks great and feels sturdy, but it’s not easy to put together
The stool looks amazing, at least if you don’t look too close. The finish on the legs appears to be painted on? Its mostly convincing unless you really look close. You can’t expect the real thing at this price point, but it’s something to note. The chrome metal loop for your feet is made of very heavy duty metal. I was pleasantly surprised at how much it weighed. I have no doubt that it can handle it’s job for decades. The chrome finish is very nice. It doesn’t feel cheap. The faux leather seat is made of thick material that should last a while, but it does have a slightly rubbery feel. It looks great though and is comfortable to sit on. The padding is adequate.Assembly was…. a challenge. I’m a handy guy. I usually dismiss reviews that mention things not lining up as user error. People tend to tighten things down before getting it all lined up. In the case of this stool however, no amount of loosening the screws was going to make things align. The problem is that the legs come down on an angle (duh), but the holes for the footrest are straight up and down. Which means you’re trying to put an angled bolt into a decidedly NOT angled hole. The trick was to attach the footrest bolts *first* but leave them very loose. Like almost all the way loose. Only then should you attach the plate that holds the legs together. Expect to have to push the legs uncomfortably hard to get the holes aligned. Once all the bolts are started, you can tighten everything down. If you have wobbles, there are adjusters on the bottom of the legs that can be tightened or loosened to remove the wobble. From there, attaching the spinner plate and the seat are trivial. Just keep everything loose till you line it up.All in all, I think it’s a great stool for the price. It looks like it costs 3 times as much and feels like it will last years. I’ll update this review if the two I bought ever wear out or have problems.

Very comfortable. Great customer service.
We bought 2 of these chairs for around our island. My husband put them together and had an issue with the one foot bar. I emailed the company and had a replacement in no time. Other than that minor issue, they were easy to put together, are quite sturdy and comfortable. They swivel without a problem and are easy to clean. I would recommend getting this style. They look great at the island and go well with our dining room furniture.

Great product – real customer service
This is a stylish and very well made stool. Itâs even better in person than the website description. My wife is an artist and wanted something comfortable with foot rest bars to rest her feet on while she works at her drafting table work station. It meets all her requirements and she loves it. But the very best part of this product is the real customer support! When was the last time you heard that? Here is how I found out. During assembly, I found 2 of the 4 rubber feet were missing. The legs bottoms have inserts with bolt threads and 2 were empty. The other 2 had a nice proprietary rubber pads attached to a machine threaded bolts that were screwed into the legs. Just like the rest of the stool, these were very well designed and sturdy looking. There was a pamphlet in the box with instructions on how to contact the manufacturer in the event there was any problem. I emailed them a copy of my Amazon order and a description of the problem. I didnât discard the packaging. Iâve been in this situation before and figured there would be a pretty good chance I would have to un-assemble, pack it up, and return it. The next morning I got an email back from Armen Living. No questions asked, they informed me they had sent a work order to their factory to ship the parts. They nicely apologized for the inconvenience. I was skeptical. That afternoon, I got an email from their factory. The parts had shipped and it included the FedEx tracking number. I checked and the package had actually been picked up and was at the FedEx facility. Knock me over with a feather. This is how itâs supposed to work but never does. The parts arrived promptly even during an ice and snow storm. They were the right part and easily screwed into the legs. It wouldâve been nice if all the parts would have been included, but this real customer service actually renewed my faith there are still some excellent American manufacturing companies out there.

Beautiful and Solid
I read the good reviews and decided to buy 5 of them for my new kitchen island (see picture). They are solid, stable, and very comfortable. The minimalist style with faux leather is beautiful, particularly in cream color. This color seems to be out of stock all the time. Fortunately, my waiting time was only ten days. Once they had them in stock, I received all five stools in two days. The packaging is excellent. I do have the following information for the seller. I almost returned these stools because it was impossible to assemble them following the instruction provided. I decided to reverse Step 1 and Step 2, and it took me less than 15 minutes to assemble each of them, very easy and fast. The seller might want to revise the instruction if they do not want to receive too many returns. Hope this review is also helpful to future buyers of this product.Highly recommended !!

Have purchased a number of these chairs. The price seems crazy…but seems to be how it is these days! Overall and compared to others I have purchased – these are quite nice and very sturdy. Despite being faux leather they look very nice and not cheap or like ugly vinyl. Recommend.

The stools are perfect for our newly renovated kitchen. They are comfortable, easy to assemble and look amazing! They were a perfect find for a mid-century modern look. Something to keep in mind, if you have quarts/granite counter tops, the wooden arms will chip if not protected.
