I normally donât rate until I have some experience with a product. I have used the frying pan for at least 10 times now and Iâm impressed. It cooks well with heat seeming evenly distributed and it behaves like.a nonstick pan. Easy to clean!

Love the thick bottom on the pan, stays at an even temperature allowing whatever is cooking to cook evenly with a good consistent texture. This morning the gravy I slow cooked turned out beautifully light and smooth. Very tasty with my biscuits and omelet. Good pan at a good price.

The one pan our creative kitchen needed
We love our Avacraft Everyday Pan so much, we threw out all our nonstick cookware. The kadhai is an indispensable part of an Indian mother’s kitchen because it does everything. It stews, it fries, it stir fries, it braises, it deep fries. Our totally Anglo family has been able to kick up our Asian cooking up a notch with the Avacraft Everyday Pan. Even our traditional family recipes have benefited, spaghetti sauce, thick peasant soups and stews. A copper layer sandwiched between 4 layers of stainless gives the most even cooking field. It is easy to clean in the dishwasher or by hand, and Barkeeper’s Friend assures the stainless polish shines like new. We loved ours so much we added two other Avacraft pans and bought another Everyday Pan to give as a wedding gift to my nephew and his bride. Ask for one for Christmas!

Great for certain types of cooking
**I cook for my south Asian family** I love the kitchenaid 5ply flat bottom wok and was looking for another 5 ply essential pan with slightly smaller dimensions. This pot is awesome for its price but itâs not exactly what I was hoping it would be. This is going to be a rice and soup pot, maybe sometimes curries. Because the bottom is the only 5ply component and the sides are pretty thin, âbhooningâ or aggressive sautéing is going to cause stuff on the sides to burn or at least cake onto the sides of the pot. Itâs too much work to babysit the sides while sautéing so Iâm going to avoid cooking dishes that require that stuff altogether (karhais, frying onion step for sabzi, etc). I love it for rice and soups though so itâs still become an essential part of my collection!

Poor quality control
I bought two different sizes of these every day pans. I like that they are all stainless steel with glass lids, which seems difficult to find lately. The bottom of the pan is thicker than the sides. The sides are finished better (edges are rolled) than similarly priced pans I purchased at the same time. The silicone handles feel nice, and the lid has a vent hole which is a plus.The quality control of these pans could be improved. The 11″ pan arrived with a deep scratch inside the pan, and a dent directly across from the scratch. When turning the 9″ pan I could hear something loose moving inside the base of the pan. It seems like the base was not finished/bonded properly to the bottom of the pan, as an object (solder?) has room to move around. Inside the bottom of the pan there are visible bonding imprints. I am not expecting perfection from the $50 range, but I feel that these two pans shouldn’t have left production in their condition. I returned both. Although I generally like the pans, I would hesitate to try another pan from Avacraft until they address the quality control issues at their manufacturing plant.
