Nice, but could have been a little better.
This was better than I expected, however, it does have a couple real issues to keep in mind. First off, the leg room under this is almost nonexistent. I have very skinny legs and it still rests on my legs. Which means the legs they put on this would be worthless to the average person because this little table would always rest âOnâ you instead of over you. I have them extended to the max height also. Unless you have toddler size legs, this isnât gonna straddle over your lap, itâs gonna sit on top your legs. The other big issue is the center brace that holds the tilting bracket is VERY flimsy. You can see that thin wood brace flex easily. I can see that being a future breaking point if you arenât careful. As for the table top itself. Itâs pretty nice and sturdy feeling. Thicker wood top than I expected. The only areas of the wood that feels somewhat rough was the (edges) around the table top. Itâs not terribly rough, but could use a light sanding in a few spots. The tops finish did feel pretty smooth though. Its also a little heavier than I figured it would be. So that was another plus for it. It donât feel like cheap wood. I just wish they would have used a thicker piece of wood on the tilting brace, and designed the legs to extend a few inches taller. I guess it was worth the price for me personally, but for somebody else, they may want to find one that fits somebody with larger legs.

It’s a bit narrow.
I like the hight of the legs, I like the price, but the width is a bit narrow. It barely fits on both sides of my thighs. If I were to use this in winter, while in bed with a thick blanket or quilt over me the try would need to be over my knees and that would essentially defeat the purpose. I think I might try visiting the hardware store and try to set up some sort of rails so I can extend the legs, maybe add some 3D printed wood leaves to expand the surface area, maybe add some handles. I also would have liked this in a solid black. I like the wood, but for what I’m wanting to use it for black would be better, but I can always paint it. For me it needs work, more work than I was expecting. I know this may sound a bit odd, but try to measure the hip width of the bigger people in your home to determine just how well this thing will work for you.

veneer delamination and warping.
I bought this 2 years ago when I was having to spend a lot of time in bed due to a medical issue. it has been sitting unused in my closet for the last year or so. I pulled it out to use it with my laptop the other day and the top layer of bamboo veneer has delaminated and warped badly. it still works for my laptop and would work with a book but no way you could use it for a writing surface. I suspect the material was not properly cured before being used. if it gets worse it will end up in the trash. it is also made for small people, (which I am luckily) if you plan to put it over your lap, as intended. I’m 5ft 8in and 160 lbs and it’s almost uncomfortable.
