Bedsure Heated Blanket Electric Throw – Soft Flannel

But with it’s construction being on the thin side, you are reminded that it is indeed an electric blanket because you can feel the heating cables within it’s build which start their inlaid pattern at about 10 inches inward from the outer most edge/border, but I haven’t found the feel of them to be at all off-putting either.I didn’t like that some spots seemed to heat up more than others but over all that’s also pretty minor and that most importantly it does warm up quickly. I also didn’t like that the handheld controller itself tends to heat up a bit when on the higher settings adding some worry to its safety but I’ve been using it for over a year now and haven’t had issues otherwise; and, I found you don’t have to keep it on high for very long, just to warm up quickly before setting it lower. For more precaution I initially got in the habit of hanging my controller from a hook hung off my bed side dresser drawer which helps give it adequate space to “hang out and be cool” and that does seem to help it dissipate heat better; but I also often use it while on the couch with the controller right on top of me or with it sometimes ending up off to the side or even under me, but still haven’t had any issues.This is the throw size model and I like that its smaller in terms of size management because while I’m also using other regular blankets with this (only when its really cold, and when I might lay one blanket on top of this one to better hold the heat in) on my lower half to add more heat where it’s needed most for my legs and especially my feet that can often get cold as ice, and this really helps with that. I do often use it on the couch but either way I always use it with a flannel sheet which not only works well for adding extra warmth but better helps to distribute the heat and has also been very effective in keeping it cleaner longer and so effective that I haven’t had to wash it yet.This is surely not a perfect product, nor at this price point is it made of the highest standard or quality in comparison to models more expensive, but despite that its issues have been minor, and it’s been working really well for me over what’s been now its second cold season or second year and it’s still keeping me warm at night. Will update if any of this changes, but again, it’s going into its second year of daily use (when it’s cold), and I can recommend it with a full five stars.

This blanket I ended up buying when there was the “big sales for amazon shoppers.” I had been eyeing it, and I will say the price was decent enough. Was it so low? Doubt it, but it was low enough that I bought it! Impulsively too! I was ONLY going to get the heating pad, but I’ve been SO COLD lately. Even in the summer I’d start my mornings with my heating pad on me and the fan on VERY LOW and aimed away because I could QUICKLY get overheated. The joys of CFS.What happened was my heating pad crapped out on me, right as we were switching to Fall! So I had NO HEAT to help me get warm, which I think was the catalyst for impulsively purchasing this one as well as the heating pad that’s weighted. Needless to say, with a blanket like this, who needs a heating pad anymore. I curl into this blanket on the low heat of 1. I mean, I can get cold enough where I’d WANT to go higher. But I just go with that feeling of a sustained, controlled heat is better than an imbalanced heat where you go high, get TOO hot, throw OFF your blanket, and then get TOO cold. And a horrible body cycle of extremes begins.This blanket is SO comfortable to JUST curl into with that low heat! The side with the cord is the fur side. And it does suck that the fur sheds A LITTLE. But, if it were real, it’d shed more! The other side is shearling. And depending on your level of cold is where you can use that side. The shearling is REALLY good for those cold mornings, and the fur is great for sustainable heat. It is JUST the right about of thickness. Which is to say, surprisingly, it’s thin! The coils is where you get your warmth! There’s a timer option as well as your heat options. The side is a PERFECT fit for a throw blanket, but I think on the description it’s listed as a twin? I don’t know. I just curl up in it. Or, I’ll just have it on with my feet resting on it and keeping just my feet warm as they are a HUGE source of my freezing temps. It’s just so functional in having around for me. I am SO HAPPY that I got it! It’s probably my favorite thing I have! And the color is dark to accommodate having two boys in my lives who LOVES to touch me with VERY dirty hands. So hopefully it won’t show so badly. This is a GREAT purchase for yourself, a loved one, a friend, office party, whatever! Whomever gets this will be kept warm and comfortable by such a thoughtful gift from you.

love the pretty design on the blanket. It’s nice and soft for me and the puppy to lay on. It’s not thick nor think. It washes easily and dries easy as well. The color is neutral and I love it. This is my second one (I bought one for my cali king bed) so I’m a fan of this heated blanket. I love I can set it on a time and on 1 it even keeps my recliner nice and toasty! It’s functional and worth every penny!

Great product! Use every day!Could be a bit bigger

I bought this product because the blanket was the right side, I read reviews on other sites that it got up to a good heat, and it had a long cord. Unfortunately the heating is very uneven and only half the blanket heats up. I definitely wouldn’t buy this again.
