Great Stainless Steel Pot
I really wanted a large but well built pot for making pasta and other dishes. I cannot exactly justify dropping big bucks on All Clad or another high end brand but liked the look, construction, and price of this.It has been wonderful and it is truly made well. Heats evenly and the lid is great. I need to have a glass lid as I’m nosy and like to peak at my food lol. The best part is that I can scrub by hand or toss it in the dishwasher and it cleans easily. Seriously a great well-built alternative to super high end brands at an affordable price.

Worth the price
Great heavy duty Dutch oven. Heats and cooks evenly. Wish I would have replaced my nonstick with this years ago.

Good cooking tools for your kitchen
Love the Calphalon cookware line. I recently purchased an induction stove and needed to add a few pieces of cookware. I already have their deep-frying pan and knew I wanted a stock pot from the same line. Much less heavy and easier for me to handle than my French cast iron porcelain cookware. It’s also slightly larger than my 6 qt cast iron, the extra depth is nice for when I make larger quantities of food. Wonderful stainless steel that cleans up like a breeze. The glass lids allow you to keep an eye on your cooking. The handles are large enough to make handling with oven mitts easy and secure. Well worth the investment, these will last a lifetime.

Very solid
Trying to use less teflon so purchased this. Takes a while to heat up but has even heat distribution. Narrow at the bottom and flares wider at the top. I am used to vertical, which is the only slight negative for me. I like larger cooking surface to also use like a skillet

Beware!!!
I placed an order for the 6 Qt .Calphalon Premier Stainless Steel Cookware on 11.23.24 On 11.27 I received it. Upon taking out the said item I happen to notice the plastic bag was not neatly placed over the lid. Then I notice one of the two (2) card boards that the lid is on the cardboard appears to been removed prior to me unboxing it. No big deal. Well my issues is this. This glass lid does NOT have the Calphalon brand stamp on it. On the packaging it shows the stamp, look at the reviews with photo’s. The reviews that claim leak issue appear to not have the Calphalon brand stamp on the glass lid. The good reviews with the photo’s Mohave the stamp on it. I own the signature set and they have the Calphalon brand on all my glass lids. Either the lids with no stamp are knock-offs or they are the one’s that have the seal leak issue.I suggest not only read reviews but all pay detail attention to photo’s as well as photo on packaging. I ordered a replacement and we shall see what becomes of that pot. I will follow-up on 12.03
