Pretty good desk and great customer service
I bought this back in 2023, and the one on the listing now is technically a newer model than the one I have. I remember it being easy enough to put together, and it has been a totally adequate sit/stand desk for the past year and a half. However, I recently moved, and in doing so misplaced the power cord. And itâs kind of an unusual connector, so I wasnât able to figure out a replacement by myself. I emailed the icubicubi customer service, and they were super prompt and helpful in helping me figure out what the replacement cord was even this much later 🙂

Goldilocks desk! This one’s just Right!
I really like this desk, it’s perfect for the space I have. Shopping for a desk this one was just right, being 6’4″ I had to find something with enough leg clearance and at almost 30″ high its perfect, everything else was either too big or too small.The desk was package very nice, if I had to put back in box I couldn’t. After grabbing my screwdriver and hex wrench and opened box to find out they already included screwdriver and wrench and everything else you would need to assemble. Assembly took just about 30 minutes and you won’t even break a sweat. I’m not a professional assembler but during pandemic I have built 55% of my furnishings so I have gotten use to putting stuff together. Only one thing I learned that I can share… when putting drawer together you have to bend soft metal plates for support(2), bend very slow just incase you make a easy mistake (by bending both the same direction), if bent slowly it shouldn’t break(like bending a wire hanger). If you have just 2 screws left after assembly you did good(they included extras). Do not use power tools or overtighten bolts into wood because it could split or crack board, just hand tighten until stiff. If all went well desk shouldn’t rattle and its sturdy enough to support up to 300 lbs. Just FYI: the drawer is a cloth drawer that only supports up to 3 lbs., only thing I didn’t like but it’s cool, just right for headphones.

Pros and Cons
Firstly, let me state my reason for buying this particular desk. I’m in the middle of certification training for the career I want to be in. That career (and training) requires that I have 3 large spiral-bound books accessible at all times near my computer. So I needed the space for a 17″ Laptop and THREE 9x12ish code books.It accomplishes that, with room for a photo, my Creative brand round speakers, desk organizer, LED desk lamp, Alexa and various small decorations. In this regard, I have ZERO complaints.PROS: – Plenty of surface space without taking up a significant portion of floor space. – Truly easy assembly (ESPECIALLY if you’re no stranger to Assemble At Home furniture). – Reasonable durability for what it’s made of, most in the same class are far less durable. – Attractive, in-style wood finish look (I was actually able to find a rolling shelf unit in the same finish). – Lightweight, so it’s very easy to move this desk without disassembling if you have an extra pair of hands (cumbersome shape, not single-mover friendly). – Repositionable “Monitor shelf” (I use it for Alexa and my lamp). – Small desk drawer ideal for pens, a notepad, sticky notes, etc.CONS: – I am CHRONICALLY bashing my knees against the support posts. I keep my laptop at the curved/rounded edge because it works best for my book layout, but that means my 5′ 9″ tall self had to put bumper guards on the (NECESSARY, I’m not saying it shouldn’t have them because it stabilizes the desk and supports weight) support posts. – It’s not, and nor will this type of material EVER BE, as solid and sturdy as wood plank desks. It’s also lightweight, so that factors in. Expect some wobbles. I wouldn’t recommend this, or anything in it’s class, for anyone requiring significant weight bearing ability (i.e. multiple towers, heavy screens, stacks of heavy textbooks, etc). – The faux wood finish has managed to rub off onto my code books’ covers after a few months of shifting them around. I’d have gotten something to cover the desk or line it had I known this would be an issue. – While the drawer is perfect for casual, lightweight office supplies, it has a max load of about 2-3 lbs. That’s not a whole lot if you tend to have A LOT of stationary items, or wanted the drawer for multiple heavier items like external drives, manual/code reference books, etc.All in all, it’s a good desk for it’s price and the materials it’s made of. Save yourself frustration and be reasonable with your expectations for inexpensive items that get delivered to your door by contract services. If you’re looking for something more, then your best bet is coughing up the bucks and going to an actual furniture store.

Great desk at a good price
From the description I didnât understand clearly that the top is two pieces, but it fit together well enough that it doesnât bother me while working. The wheels make it go a little higher than the dimensions given too (Iâm short so I need a low desk while sitting to be comfortable) but it seems like it would be easy enough to switch out. It does shake a little when Iâm pedaling and working, but it was more sturdy than I thought it would be. Super quick and easy to assemble. Instructions are well done. Overall, Iâm very happy.

Perfect adjustable desk!
Super easy to assemble – laid all the prices out and had it together within a half hour or so (alone). Perfect size – I have a laptop and 2 monitor screens and still have room for tissues, pen cup, etc. I love that it remembers 3 heights – I use one for core ball, one for regular chair, and one for standing. It isnât the most super sturdy – it definitely wobbles a bit on my carpet – but I might be able to correct that with some blocks under the legs.Works exactly as I wanted but cost a lot less than I expected!

Do not try to mount monitors
Only get this if youre going to sit light objects on top. I had no idea the top was made out of two pieces, so when i tried mounting 2 monitors it ended up snapping the top in half. The photos of the product with two monitors mounted is misleading, but other than that its ok

Got in touch with the customer services and they were brilliant, very friendly & helpful. Helped me reset the controller buttons and everything works perfectly now. Very pleased.
