Excellent product, youâll need to work it.
I shopped around for the right hardware, as I was working with a tight space. Dimensions needed to be spot on. I decided to go with the single track as itâs a much cleaner/slim look. The hardware is top quality and looks super high end.Installation tips (single track only)- Move the hangers as far to the each door edge as you can, if you are looking to maximize space when opening each door.- The door thickness I had was approx 1.5 inches. When you install the hanger bolts you may need to cut them to length. I purchased a cheap hand grinder to cut them, you could also use a hacksaw (which is a bit safer). You will know if you need to cut the bolts as the other door will hit the bolt.- I used a hand grinder to cut the the steel roller bar. Again you could use a hacksaw.- This tip should help out quite a bit. When I considered the weight of the doors, I felt strongly that the lag bolts supplied were not sufficient to hold up the doors … safely. I would be worried about the lag bolts coming loose and at least causing a poor movement, at worst the doors falling off the rail and causing a lot of damage.I decided to add a header board in the front and in the behind the wall. So I had 10 inch bolts connecting through the wall to really hold the doors and rail system up, and boy did it feel solid.Tools I used:Hand grinder with cutting wheel5/16 all threaded bar, cut at 10 inch lengths for all five holding positions.Spring washers and large 1.5 inch washers to secure bolts in place, for the 10 inch boltsRip saw for cutting header boardsCorse 2 inch screws to install header boards to drywall. Making sure you hit the studs. Tip, if you have a wall where you do not have enough studs to work with, predrill the holes and use anchor drywall supports.Hope all this helps. It took me a good two days, to install correctly.

Sliding Barn Door Hardware Kit – Perfect!
We had a friend build us a barn door to replace the closet doors by our front door. We purchased this 8 ft Bypass Double Sliding Barn Door Hardware Kit and it worked perfectly. It was very easy to install and the barn doors slide smoothly. The doors are quite heavy and it has had zero issues, been up for a year and half now. Absolutely love it!

Good quality, but poor instructions.
This is well made attractive hardware for a sliding door that I would definitely recommend. That said, the installation can be a bit tricky. First off, make sure you understand the size you need. Remember there is an overlap, so a 72″ rail won’t equate to 2 – 36″ doors. You should allow for about a 8-10″ overlap of the doors., depending on the placement of the rollers. Also, the company mentions that the railing can be cut to fit. Though it can be cut to size, it is very thick and therefore difficult to cut if you don’t have the right tools. Using a hacksaw will test your arm strength and ability to cut straight as you fatigue. Once the railing is cut you must file down the edges to fit additional hardware on the railing. All in all it’s a good product, but the company follows the trend of poor installation instructions and does little to guide you in choosing the right size.

They work well
Everything works as intended. A little more metal to to bolt the door to (back side) would have been preferred. Good purchase.

Wee made and looks good
I bought the 9 foot version of this door track set to use to hide some open shelves in my garage. They look good and securely hold a pair of large wooden doors. I would buy them again.

Fairly easy to mount
I mounted the track bars screwing bolts into wood rather than using the plastic anchors supplied. I’ve never had a lot of luck using plastic anchors…they always seem to spin when I torque down the bolt. So, my particular installation seems fairly solid. My installation is not typical, so I have to make my own doors. Made one and it slides fine. Happy with the hardware so far.

Good product, zero customer service!
I wanted to give this barn door hardware a five star, exceptional, review, as the product does seem to be very well made, and the price was very reasonable. But, I tried to notify the company about a month ago via email, letting them know a powder coated nut was missing, plus I want to purchase an additional piece of track.I have sent the company seven emails total, during this past month, and they haven’t even acknowledge receiving any emails from me. Plus, Amazon informed me that there is no US phone number, so email is my only option.Bottom line, the product seems very good, but if you’re missing parts, or need customer service for anything, you will most likely be s out of luck!
