Benefits & Use Cases
One of the primary advantages of the ELEGRP Digital Dimmer is its ability to transform everyday lighting experiences by providing customizable brightness levels. In living rooms, it enables users to shift from bright illumination during daytime activities to cozy, low-light settings perfect for movie nights or relaxing evenings. Bedrooms benefit from soft, adjustable lighting that supports winding down before sleep, while kitchen under-cabinet lighting can be dimmed for meal prep or enhanced for entertaining.
This dimmer is especially valuable for those transitioning from incandescent bulbs to more energy-efficient LEDs or CFLs. Many older mechanical dimmers are incompatible with these newer bulb types, often resulting in flickering, buzzing, or reduced bulb lifespan. The ELEGRP digital switch is specifically designed to address these issues, offering smoother performance and greater compatibility with modern lighting technologies.
For DIY homeowners, installation is relatively simple—provided they follow basic electrical safety procedures. The process typically involves turning off power at the circuit breaker, removing the existing switch plate, disconnecting wires, and connecting them according to the included instructions. Once installed, the dimmer responds immediately to user input, delivering responsive and reliable control without lag or erratic behavior.
Additionally, using a dimmer switch can contribute to energy savings. By reducing brightness levels when full light isn’t needed, users can extend the life of their bulbs and lower electricity consumption—especially beneficial in frequently used areas like hallways or entryways.
Important Notes
While many customers appreciate the ELEGRP dimmer for its value, affordability, and clean appearance, some have reported occasional flickering or buzzing sounds—particularly when paired with certain types of LED or CFL bulbs. These issues may stem from incompatibility between the dimmer and specific bulb models, which can vary in their internal electronics and dimming requirements. To ensure optimal performance, it’s recommended to pair this dimmer only with bulbs labeled as “dimmable” and compatible with electronic low-voltage (ELV) or leading-edge (ELC) dimming protocols.
The package includes one ELEGRP digital dimmer switch. Mounting screws and wall plates are not included unless explicitly listed in the product details. Always verify what accessories are provided before beginning installation.
Safety comes first: before working on any electrical component, turn off the power at the main circuit breaker and confirm there is no voltage using a non-contact tester. Incorrect wiring can damage the device or pose a fire hazard. If you’re unsure about handling electrical work, consult a licensed electrician.
This product is intended strictly for indoor residential use within standard 120V AC environments. It should not be installed in damp locations such as bathrooms (unless rated for wet conditions), outdoors, or in commercial settings without proper certification.
Customer feedback highlights mixed experiences regarding functionality and performance. While some praise its ease of use and attractive design, others note inconsistencies in dimming smoothness depending on bulb type and load. As such, results may vary based on individual usage scenarios.

Works great
Bought this product a few years ago and it is still working as intended and looks marvelous doing so. I have these in my hall as well as my guest bathroom. I like this product so much, that now I am doing another project (master bathroom), and plan on using them again.Thank you.

Very affordable option if used right
I have seen reviews about flicker and stuff. But with the right bulb, there is no flicker and no noise. Just perfect. Easy to install and easy to work with.

Exactly as advertised
Moved into a new house that has LED canned lighting retrofitted in but no dimmers, popped these in and they work great, fit right into the same outlet covers and everything.

Edit: ELEGRP Refunded the switches
ELEGRP contacted me and provided a full refund. Changed stars from 1 to 4. Thank you for reaching out.Original review:Low quality switch. Buzzes and flickers. All of the dimmer switches we purchased have a mechanical buzzing sound when they are on. At low light levels they will flicker and turn on and off. This problem is occurring on different lights in the house and they were installed on both single pole and 3 way switches. We are past our return window and we are deciding to just eat the price of these switches and buy all new ones of a higher quality. If you decide to buy them make sure you are ready to install them right away so you can decide if you are okay with the sound and discomfort created by electrical arcing occurring in your switches.

Works with LED ceiling lights, Dims to 30%.
Very happy with these dimmers. Have a few of them installed now with some 4″ LED lights we also got on amazon. Both the lights and dimmer work well together. The dimmer advertisement says 10% dimming, but really only about 30%. There is also a slight delay to the dimming and switch on actions. I think this means there is a chip behind the switch, so will update this review if they start breaking a year or after a power outage (when surges usually occur). Happy for now and would buy these again if I needed more, but I got 6 of these for less than one Lumatron.

Very cheap quality. Flickering. Go buy switches from home depot or menards instead
My dad is a master electrician and has seen a lot of stuff. He said they are made very cheap compared to ones at menards or home depot and those places have cheap electrical stuff when compared to electrical supply companies. I put them in my house regardless because I already purchased them. BTW they are the same price as the ones at menards or home depot. Only half work the others randomly flicker at different rates. We took a switch apart and found loose connections everywhere. The only positive is that they are pretty looking but they look the same at menards. Anyway I don’t reccomend buying these

Bought it because my old dimmer doesn’t dim enough. This one aced that.
I like just about everything from features to price. My old dimmers (tried two) would not sufficiently reduce the brightness of my single LED A19 bulb (60W equivalent). Late at night, I need it be very dim. And have an indicator, which this does. Set up is interesting – you pop off the paddle and get access to two switches. One turns the indicator on or off and the other sets the minimum brightness based on what kind of bulbs you have. To be honest, I didn’t detect any difference among the three settings for that, but I am more than happy. Also includes a nice screwless faceplate. The body is among the thinnest I have encountered, and I have used quite a few. And I greatly appreciate the backwire (not quickwire) terminals too, as they insure a tight fit. I like these better than wire leads. And the screws (terminal, attachment, but not faceplate) are industry-standard #1 combination (Milwaukee refers to these as ECX), so with the proper screwdriver, you can get the right amount of torque.

Light switch does not fully turn off the E14 lights. It just keeps it on at lowest level the whole time which is a waste of electricity and reduces life of bulb.
