Was looking for a new patio pendant light fixture to replace the one I have, I really love the old fixture, and notices how much the new ones cost so much; when I saw this item, I’m thinking “Hey, for this price, I can’t go wrong!!!” “GE is good name too” “hope it’ll work”I’m very happy for my purchase, saved a lot of money and kept my old fixture I loved. I have this bulb screwed in my old pendant fixture, light goes off after few seconds, but lights up very quick when I open the patio door. Great Buy

Seems to work well
I have had a motion light in our laundry room for years, made it handy walking in with arms full of laundry to not have to fight to find the switch, but it screwed into the light socket then a bulb had to be screwed into that and quite often you had to wave at it to get it to trigger. This is a sensor and light in one so you just screw it in like any normal lightbulb making it very easy to install and easier still to use, I haven’t had to wave at it once and it’s a good bright light that comes on instantly whenever someone walks in. Plus it doesn’t turn off on you while you’re in there.

Good, but limited detection range
Great compromise when wanting motion sensor lightings but the detectable motion has to be right under the bulbs.

Very bright but motion detection could be better
Not much to be said. These are great bulbs for the money and very bright which might be a concern for some. These were for our garage so bright is good. My only complaint is I wish the motion detection was just a bit more sensitive. I have a LIFX bulb inside the garage that will go on as soon as I open our garage side door. These bulbs are installed inside the house at the top and bottom of our stairs leading to the garage. When I open our hallway door the light doesn’t turn on until I move through the door. I would expect it should turn on as soon as it detects the door swing open like our LIFX bulb. BTW, I’ve that bulb for at least 5 years now and I can’t find it anymore. To finish, I’m still very satisfied with these bulbs but they would not work very well if installed in a light fixture.

Shut off too soon
I already had a similar bulb, but I’m constantly fighting it to keep it on after 30 seconds when I’m doing something in the garage. Bought these because someone in the reviews said they stay on for 5 minutes. Would’ve been perfect, but that’s not the case. These only stay on for 30 seconds as well. You better be dancing the whole time if you need them on for more than 30 seconds. These are meant to save energy, but this is ridiculous. A few more minutes isn’t going to increase an electric bill very much at all. Still better than walking out of a room and leaving the light on for an extended amount of time. Also, the light isn’t very warm. These were a much whiter light than the warm white bulb I already had. Returning.

Great for driveway, light pollution eliminated.
The sensor works well and doest linger on no flicker. They are a little longer but you want that sensor sicking down below the glass so it can see. Great price for how long they last. Plus the energy efficient nature of it turning off saves you money and stops light pollution.

Bright, but for motion sensor feature- you must mind your application
The 12 watt bulbs consume more power than most standard 60 watt (9 watt) equivalent LED bulbs.Pros: made for outdoor environments, bright warm light. Seems like a quality build.Cons: Very directional motion sensor is on bottom of bulb, so in the wrong fixture this motion sensor is useless. You practically have to pass directly under it to trigger it on. Not very useful unless you want a spot light application. There may be others who have differing needs, but sorry – these donât work for me.Update: of course, in the outdoor fixture the coverage range is limited. When I installed them in the laundry/furnace room the results were different. My wife enjoys the wide range, hands free trigger. There they work well. I guess you just need the right application to get the desired results. The unshaded bulb stays on for about 3 minutes. Much better coverage and service. A decent product for the price.

The best light bulbs
I love these light bulbs. They work so well and you never have to mess with your light switch because they know to only turn on when motion is detected and itâs dark out. Theyâre a little pricy but seriously worth it for outside. They seem to be very good quality too.

Works very well in my basement where I have two lights, one over a desk and the other one is motion sensor so that way you don’t have to have two lights burning and only one being used. I also use one outside in my back deck, and it’s fantastic at detecting motion of animals, my dog or people long before you need to come up the stairs. Nice and bright so you can see your way up the deck safely. I live in Canada where the temperature goes from plus 35 Celsius to minus 35 Celsius and this light bulb still works

I bought a set of two, one of them didnt work so I had to return this unfortunately. The one that did work was bright enough and worked well, however the motion detection wasnt as sensitive as I thought it would be.

These lights are bright and have manual on off override that works fine. I purchased for an outside light but the fixture reduces the motion sensor range a lot. Not really a fault of the bulb. I am now using the lights inside the garage in the ceiling without a fixture. Works fine. Turns on and off. Stays on for about 5 min. The range seems to be about 6 feet from the bulb it will turn on (inside my garage). A bit pricey but good colour, and a good brand name (I hope long life). Some of the other ‘no name’ lights only stay on for 30 seconds.
