This is simply the best, softest blanket!
I donât know why this blanket would get a negative review at all. I was gifted the red and black one last year for Christmas and have reverted back to childlike habits by carrying this blanket from the bedroom to the living room, then back to the bedroom. I refuse to sit and relax without it. Itâs incredibly soft, but thatâs not what makes it so perfect. The blanket is somewhat heavier than my other soft throw blankets and it traps in heat. It has just enough weight and enough warmth that I donât have to put on more than one blanket when Iâm on the couch. I wash it weekly and itâs held up just fine. The red and black side is so shiny and our cats of course love it as well. My wife ended up buying one in another color for herself, and Iâm bummed that the red and black one isnât in stock right now to order as a present. I had seen a plain black one at one point (months ago) and wish it was still an option to purchase. If youâre looking for a soft blanket, donât pass this one up. Itâs superior to other soft throws!

Best Sherpa blanket I’ve ever seen! Beyond warm and soft, heavy and high quality! Can’t do better than this!
OK…let me start off with my first impression…OH MY GOD! IVE DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN! I’ve bought four Sherpa blankets returned the first two because they were at best blah.. kept the third thinking I had finally had a winner (and it is very nice)… Forgot totally that I had ordered this one…. Three weeks later this mysteriously box arrives and surprise! Inside is the most awesome blanket I have ever had the pleasure of owning! Puts my other blanket (#3 the prior winner) to shame! It’s about 3x as thick and every bit as soft and luxerurous as the the other blanket I bought (and will keep despite this one’s far superiority). The weight of it alone was significant, testifying to it’s quality. This is no cheap blanket made wit fillers and sub-par products. And warm? I practically needed to turn on the area fan on high just to put it on the bed! This blanket could keep me warm in Alaska, in an igloo, wit temperatures below 40 degrees I’m certain! In fact, with my luck, it might just be too warm…. But I’ll gladly take my chances l

Best Quality of ALL Sherpa Throws
I have now purchased about 12 of these throws for my home and for gifts. I’ve tried at least 10 different “brands.” This one is by far the most thick and plush. The top side is a velvet as opposed to a fleece or microfiber fabric, so it looks rich, lush and expensive. I am super picky about blankets and I cannot find a better one (and I was not paid or given a product to write this review). I hope someday they can find different print velvets to try, but as long as they make this brand I am buying it. One suggestion for buyers (learn from my mistakes). I did not know how to wash a sherpa blanket when I first bought them so I washed them and put in the dryer. Do NOT do that. The only way to keep your sherpa from getting stiff and bunched up is to wash on cold, delicate, with the most mild detergent (or dish soap, and I mean mild), and then hang it to dry. No hot dryer ever. This keeps the sherpa soft. I will always buy Genteele!

Incredible! Hidden cardboard makes debris–remove before washing
This blanket is so incredibly soft!!! I was afraid to get my hopes up from the reviews, but they weren’t exaggerating–this is the softest blanket ever, & on both sides. Usually, I don’t like sherpa bc it feels dry to me. But this is so soft I find myself digging my fingertips into it just to enjoy the softness.A note–one reviewer said “Filthy” and showed a picture with what looked like brown debris all over it. Well, I accidently did that to mine, and it’s just cardboard. It says to wash it 1st, so I did. I thought I’d removed all the packaging, but obviously I missed something bc my washer was filled with bits of shredded cardboard! The blanket looked beautiful going in, and I washed it alone. Coming out, it looked just like that lady’s (so I think someone returned a washed one & she got it). I just shook it, cleaned out the washer, washed it again, and threw it in the dryer. It came out good as new!Thank you for this lovely blanket. My husband and cat love it, too.

cute but pricey
this blanket is very cute, I got it for my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. it hasnât shed so far but I obviously havenât used it lol. itâs not very heavy and its very soft. the only complaint I have is that itâs pretty small for the overall price of $39 including shipping. you could most definitely find the same one for cheaper somewhere on Amazon.

Beautiful Sherpa, nice and thick for winter, will definitely keep you warm and snugly. But they need to make the colour selections more accurate to picture representation, found it a little difficult to match with other colours, goes best with cream and white sheets and pale grey for bed, expected this Sherpa blanket to be thicker than it actually was for the price of it, this blanket is not a replacement for a doona, unless you like something light on your bed, and you get hot easily, I changed my sheets to 1500 thread count for extra warmth for winter, used 1500 thread count fleecy sheets, which did make a difference, but if you feel the cold more than other’s, use a doona with this blanket as well. especially if you live in snow regions, but because i don’t like heavy restrictive doona’s on my bed, even for winter, this blanket and thick fleecy sheets works good, it’s also great as a throw for the couch, i ware fleecy pyjamas to bed in winter if i feel the cold but don’t like anything heavy on me while sleeping, used this blanket on and off my bed for summer and winter for the last year, and it’s my go to blanket depending on the season, hope this information helps people decide better.
