This is a very simple fixture. You do need to drill holes on the plastic fixture for the screws. In my case only 3 of the four screws lined up so I guess thatâs why the buyer has to drill the holes. This probably helps ensure that it is adequately waterproofed. The dials are not well marked so you need to compare with the owners manual to figure out which is which and where to set them. We have ours on max sensitivity and 5 minutes. It comes right on and stayed on for the 5 minutes. Our previous fixture was old and came on with a breeze but wouldnât react if a person or car got near it. This is working as it should. A good value.

Easy installation, set up and reliable functionality
This motion sensing security light replaced a fancy, LED set that I recently bought from my local warehouse club at twice the cost. The LED set had a badly designed motion sensor that was blind as a bat with a claimed 60′ range. I had to literally jump in front it with my arms in the air to make it see me. Based on the reviews of this product, I ordered a pair of these, hoping to get a better performance. Unfortunately, the first one I installed had a bad sensor and the light wouldn’t come on at all. I replaced it with the second one and it worked flawlessly. The sensor detects me at about 50′ and has a fairly wide field of detection view. The installation was very straight forward as it mounted to my electrical box with the provided hardware without any issues. I sent the bad one back to Amazon for a replacement to get rid of the second LED set. By the way, the LED sets that are going back to my membership warehouse club, are sold on Amazon as well. I would stay away from them and go with these. If LED lights are a must have, a pair of LED spot lights in place of incandescent bulbs would cure the problem.

Does the job for the price
Three years ago, I moved into a newly built house which had three Cooper flood sensor lights installed such as this Heath Zenith type. All of them quit working this year (after 3 years of use), they would come on intermittently or not at all (even jumping up and down and waving right in front of the sensor) and the plastic on the sensor had become cracked from the elements.So instead of going to a big-box store where similar models cost around $20-$40, I got these for a little less on amazon and seem of comparable quality. They also feel pretty cheap (metal body but thin plastic housing on the sensor lens) and I don’t expect them to last much longer, but the models with a 10 year warranty cost upwards of $100 (you can find them on here). So, in short, you get what you pay for. These work fine and I rather spend my money on something more exciting, but I did not want broken lights either and come home in the dark and they add a layer of security.These were a bit of a pain to install as there are a bunch of wires that make up the lamp controls that stick out the back that make finagling them all into the wire box on the house a challenge, as is getting the small included rubber gasket to align with the rim of the lamp base where it meets the wall because of all the wires in the way. You would think the internal wires would be more effectively tied or put behind a separate cover. But, the Cooper lamps on my house I pulled off were the same. I went ahead and sealed the rim with silicone as recommended, as I couldn’t get the little rubber gaskets to align 100% to make a good seal.These lights have been up about 3 months now and work as expected. No more waving and jumping up and down for them to come on, the driveway lights up brightly when I pull up or step out to toss something in the trash barrel. They still come on on windy nights, especially now heading into winter. Still better than the old ones that would stay on for hours on end, but with the old ones this phenomenon got worse as the units aged, so I wouldn’t be surprised if these start staying on longer, too at some point.All in all, your average made-in-china cheap disposable product. They work better than the old ones (for now), so 3 stars.

Had a Intelectron Motion Detector With Security Light for many years until about a month ago when it all of sudden decided to turn on and offduring the day when set for 1 minute. It is not supposed to operate at all during the day light hours. Since it had worked perfectly for about10 years I decided to hunt on the internet for a new Intelectron Motion Detector With Security Light. I found it on Amazon and ordered it right awaybecause it would be easy to install as it was the same model. I installed and then found that it didn’t work at all. Thanks to Amazon I got mymoney refunded (including the prepaid return shipping) and returned the product. I then started to look for a replacement and found the Heath Zenith HZ-5411-WH Heavy Duty Motion Sensor Security Light and once again found it on Amazon. I received it in just a few days, installed itand it worked as advertised and it cost less. It is made of sturdy materials and is a snap to install. The supplier provided everything I neededincluding screws, a small bracket for mounting on the electrical box and clear instructions.Yes I would recommend the Heath Zenith HZ-5411-WH Heavy Duty Motion Sensor Security Light.

Buyer beware. This conked out in less than a year, and now the replacement is not the same item.
This is cheap plastic garbage. But, for the price, I was getting what I paid for.It worked okay for about 8 months, then just stopped working. Changed the bulbs. Nothing. Tweaked the sensitivity, nothing. Hoping it was a fluke, I ordered an identical replacement. When I received that replacement, it was a different item. Instead of a single mounting hole in the middle, there are three. So, I cannot use it without changing my fixture. Not about to do that. Instead of a refund, I asked for a replacement. Nope. Same thing. Now I have to return two. Buyer beware. The main image is not what you will get in the box. In fact, look at the other images, you can see that it’s an entirely different model by looking closely at the light sensor.

Sin embargo tiene dos cosas que nome agradaron.1: El modo manual no funciona. El modo manual se utiliza en esas ocaciones en las que quieres dejar la luz prendida todo el tiempo y no solo cuando detecta movimiento. De acuerdo al manual de installacion, la luz se puede poner en modo manual si se apaga por un segundo y luego se prende. Esto no funciona. Yo compre dos de estas luces y ninguna se puede poner en modo manual.2: Calentamiento de inicio, cuando se apaga la luz desde el apagador por periodos prolongados (mayor a 10 min) y se vuelve a prender, la luz entra en un modo de inicializacion o calentamiento donde la luz se empieza a prender y apagar. Este ciclo no termina almenos que lo dejes correr por unos 15 minutos y despues de eso apagues y prendas rapidamente la luz desde el apagador. Esto es muy molesto. Si el precio se te hace barato para los precios que encuentres en tu localidad y los inconvenientes que mencione no te importan, entonces esta luz puede ser para ti. Yo en lo personal NO LA RECOMIENDO.

My favorite thing about this product was a tiny little piece of plastic. That’s it, it supports the fixture to the crossbar so you don’t have to hold it while working overhead. Like one cent worth of plastic and it made such a difference to the ease of install.Motion works well, using it in a carport, coupled it with some LED 100 watt equivalents and it’s a bright solid lighting solution.

Operates on 120v therefore not useable in UK without modification. Had my money refunded and told to scrap light rather than return.

This light worked perfectly and is simple to install and set up. The only reason I didnât give it five stars is it was shipped without extra packaging. The parcel was almost broken open (see picture)I half expected it not to work after seeing how damaged the box was. It did luckily and it works great. The only thing I did was cut 1/2â of the centre mounting screw as some reviews said it contacted the wire inside and caused a short. I would recommend the product I would hope they would double box it as they usually do.

This is a fairly basic motion detection light that does what it claims to do. Fairly easy to install, Test mode works well, could only get about 50 foot detection range in our installation, but that was plenty for us. Great value.
