I love this bed but…
This is a solid and beautiful piece of furniture. It’s well made and fairly easy to put together. It took us just under two hours using the included tool and a single screwdriver. However, the strong smell from the bare slats is a little overwhelming in a small room. It’s not entirely unpleasant, it’s just strong. I am very happy with my purchase, but am thankful the weather is still decent enough to leave the windows open to allow for ventilation. I’ve had it together for three days now, and the odor seems to be lessening, but I can tell it may take another week or two before it’s less noticeable. I would suggest this bed frame to anyone looking to purchase a solid wood bed for a reasonable price, but keep in mind the fact that it is pine and has that strong pine smell that will remain with it for a while after you take it out of the box. If possible, leave the pieces in a garage or other dry clean place for some time before you bring it in and assemble it.

Beautiful quality bed!
Excellent quality. I was hesitant as my sister had purchased a bed off Amazon (different brand) and the cross beams were so flimsy they broke the same day. The cross beams on this bed are very sturdy. I assembled the bed on my own in 2.5 hours. The wood and stain are beautiful and it looks more expensive than it was. I have a Basset mission style bedroom set and the Walnut ties in beautifully! I didn’t notice any strong smell and slept great on it the same day. Instructions were easy to follow but pay close attention. I managed to jam a wooden dowel in the wrong, too small, hole and had to drill it out as a result. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone!

You can’t go wrong ordering this if you want a solid wood platform bed
This bed is so beautiful. The quality is fantastic for the price. I wanted something not built with particle board, and so many “wooden” beds on Amazon have a headboard that’s 3/8” thick. This bed is well built, solid wood.Other reviews mentioned VOC smell, I don’t smell anything like that from this.One note I have, is that I ordered an 8 inch foam mattress, and it really needed a riser to not look too low for the headboard. So I bought a 7 inch box spring, looks perfect now pictures are before the box spring, and then with the box spring. We ordered it in the color espresso. My husband put it together quickly and easily.
