Full 80″ height compatible, sturdier than big box stores’ versions
My first impressions make me very happy with this door.Primarily, this 80″ tall door can actually fit in my doorframe. Whereas the 80″ models available at the orange and blue stores only go up to to about 78.5″, this one was able to expand further and stays straight and level throughout its entire travel side-to-side, even though the frame isn’t perfectly straight. (Its height varies over that range.) You could get up to the advertised 80.5″ height, and maybe even a little beyond that. The steel stiles (uprights) make this door sturdier than the plain aluminum ones too. That should prolong its lifespan. My own complaints are the screen itself, none enough to drop a start though:1) The screen material is really, really chintzy. I’m sure the cats will tear it up in no time. At least they won’t damage the frame though, which is why I’m now on this, my third, screen door, since “the girls” arrived.2) They could have been a bit more generous on the width of screen provided. Be very careful laying it out prepping to install the spline. I had a helper keep things aligned while I worked.3) The handle/locking mechanism is kinda cheap too, but they all are in this price range.Assembly is straight forward. It’s not rocket surgery. You just need a screw driver. As others have mentioned, I recommend getting another spline tool. The one provided was good and could do the job on its own, but I did find it easier to do a second pass with the tool I already had with a narrower solid wheel. These tools are pretty cheap.

    revived our sliding glass door.
I was thinking about replacing our sliding glass door, but as you know, they are expensive these days.I took a change on repairing the slider. It was easy to install and now the door works great.

Amazing for value! Would repeat buy in an instant.
Follow the directions and take it step by step. This screen door fit perfectly and was as described. My only gripe was that there were a couple of scratches in the frame out of box. However, that was almost likely a shipping issue and obviously weren’t significant enough to prompt a return. For the price, I’m pretty confident there’s nothing out there that matches the quality you’ll find in this product. As long as this product is around and replacement need comes around, hands down this is the one I’d re-order.

    It actually fits! ****UPDATED****
6/30 update: door is broken. I was so excited to have a door that fit and it is so flimy a heavy wind blew it off the track, the bottom part of the frame is completely bent and its going to the dumpster. Was nice while it lasted about…. 2 weeks ishPrevious owners took the screen and lock off the sliding door when we purchased the home. After trying a few screens that didnt fit our 81″ andersen door, we finally found this one.Screwed together in 8 screws (+ 4 for adjusters) and came with the rolling tool for the screen which made it very easy to assemble. Fits perfectly fully extended in my door frame.I did take one star away because the locking mechanism is not sturdy and if you go to slide the locked sliding screen door, it pops off its hook latch and opens right up. Not a deal breaker for me because I can just get a different hook latch for it and be just fine.Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

    So many parts
First off I would have returned this if it wasn’t nearly 40.00 to do so.2nd there is soooo many parts. This isn’t like fold out and screw on a side or even assembled minus adjusting this is literally every part not assembled.3 don’t buy this lord your time is valuable.

    Flimsy
I needed a replacement scree door for an 8’ tall sliding patio door. This frame is too weak for that height it flexes too much to slide. It may work better on a 6’8” door.
