Solid, Sturdy, Perfect!!
I almost didn’t buy this table because there wasn’t a single review posted at the time, but I looked around for reviews of All For Wood company’s other products and saw high scores, so decided to “risk” it. Wow! So glad I did!!This table is solid wood and feels completely SOLID. Heavy, sturdy, no wobble or movement. Very hard to find a solid wood table today that isn’t a budget breaker.Package arrived in San Diego from Florida in good condition. Packaging inside was intentional. All wood pieces were cushioned on edges/sides, and all metal pieces were wrapped so they didn’t bump up against the wood pieces. We replaced a massive farmhouse style table with this one. I wanted something smaller now that we’re empty nesting, but the ability to go back to big again when family visits or company arrives. The placement on ends of table for extensions is brilliant. I’ve included a photo of underneath the table so you can see how the extension supports slide out.Not mentioned in the product description, but an excellent design and comfort detail, is the angled edges of the table. Photo included. Brushed wood grain is gorgeous too. Close up photo included. Was lucky/blessed to get the Black Friday pricing applied to our order that was still in transit. Thank you Customer Service Team! The design is unique (space between planks running length of table) and accomplished exactly the look I was hoping for!!I did order chairs from a different company, simply due to style preference. Even so, I’ve got my eye on other All For Wood company products, because I’m so impressed with this table!!

Great product and service
I bought the set with chairs. Product is as good if not better than expected. Worth every penny. Super sturdy and attractive in my space. More importantly, I had a broken part, called customer service, someone actually answered the phone and I had replacement part in a few days.

It’ll Do in a Pinch …
I really want to love this table. There are some things about it that are terrific: it fits well in my pretty small dining area; it was simple to assemble; it functions as I’d hoped; and I got it on this site but for over $200 less than its current price – hooray! Regarding the table’s color and appearance, I have to say that I’m dissatisfied. It looks lighter in color in the photos here than it is in person, and the top and legs have an unfinished look and feel. I was hoping for an oak, light wood, well-finished butcher block table but every time I glance at it I have to fight the urge to sand, stain and polyurethane it. See the white grooves in my photos? They cover a significant amount of the table top and I’m not happy about this at all. For $550, I expected a decently finished wood table but this is not it. If you prefer a very rustic (?!) and unfinished look then you’ve found it. As for me, I’m going to buy a tablecloth and placemats so I need not keep looking at the top!

Stylish, Sturdy, Beautiful
I can’t say enough good things about this table. For starters, I appreciate that it’s solid wood with no MDF. When cared for, a solid wood table will last a lifetime. Out of the box, there’s quite a bit to do to put it together but I managed to assemble it by myself in a couple hours. The only part I absolutely needed assistance with was setting it upright. It’s heavy and if you try to do it by yourself, it’ll put too much pressure on the joints that hold the legs to the table. Once it’s on its legs, it’s so sturdy; there’s no wobbling. The underside has a nice support system for the table that also functions to expand the length. The support pieces are also all hardwood and have a nicely engineered groove to create a sliding mechanism that is then secured using knobbed bolts. If I have one complaint about the table it’s here with the knob bolts. The knob part is plastic and I feel this is an item that can be improved on with something that matches the overall aesthetic of the table. With the extensions in place the table is big enough for up to 8 people. It really fit my dinning area well with or without the extensions. It’s a beautiful table too. It’s going to be the center of attention in the dining space. The top features a pleasant butcherblock style. And while the top is very smooth, it preserves some of it’s deeper grain textures which you can feel with your hands. The same butcherblock design continues through the angled legs too which look great. The slight chamfer along the sides adds some nice character too.If you’re interested in upgrading to a solid wood table, this is a great option.

Very nice dining table
This is a really nice table. It too longerthan 30 minutes to set up. We had to make the inserts fit. The whole they slid into were too small and we had to make them bigger. Its very sturdy and heavy. Each piece is a thick piece of wood. It does come with 2 extra pieces to make the table bigger.

Sturdy, but bolts strip easily
Lovely hardwood table. The wood is very thick sturdy and heavy. The supporting metal is also very thick and heavy. The extensions are well-supported when installed.Took 2 stars off for the following:- Bolts are all soft metal and will strip as you build the table. This one is going to be a real pain in the ass if I ever need to take it apart…- The wood extension supports that slide out take an extreme amount of effort on one side. I made it a little better by swapping them around until they fit a little better. But I think there must be some warping of the wood.- The one of my wood legs was a little warped in the wrong direction, but it seems that tightening the metal rod bent it in the right direction.Time will tell how this table wears, I will update this review if it goes poorly.
