Easy install, keep track of your screws!
Donât open any of the plastic bags inside that hold screws/parts u til you read the directions – each bag is marked & they hold specific parts for each step so donât get them mixed together! Some of the screws are really tiny so make a point of trying to hold on to them – if you drop them, they may disappear. They do have a few extras of some of the items in a separate bag but just be careful – I found that using a Philips head screwdriver with a MAGNETIC TIP was a HUGE plus! If you donât have one of those this would be a great time to invest in one!! Directions were easy to follow, they have video tutorials to watch for each step so just take your time & review those as you go along. I was able to install this by myself but it would be easier to have an extra set of hands to keep from going up & down the ladder so many times. Finished product looks great, works great, moves hella air. Price on Amazon was the best I could find & with the LED bulbs, I shouldnât have to replace those for a LONG, LONG time. Am hoping I can get a good 15 yrs out of this but weâll see. I will likely buy more of this model to replace others in my house now that Iâve done it & know what it entails, should go easier/faster, not that the install was especially challenging or anything. Totally doable for someone with average homeowner skills – the wiring was very simple & straightforward, not a big deal at all & thatâs what I was most leery about! Donât let that dissuade you, itâs quite simple – just remember to turn the circuit breaker off that controls that light fixture before you wade into this project. Also, if you donât have a lot of ambient light in the room where youâre doing this – you may want to have an extra portable light source so you can clearly see what youâre doing while installing this!

Upgrade for my Study – Improved Lighting and Quieter and Stronger Fan Performance
I purchased this Hunter fan to replace the ceiling fan in my study – we’ve been in this ten year old house for just over a year, and I was not happy with the fan or with the lighting it provided. It also was making some noise at high speed, suggesting that the motor bearings might be wearing out.I chose this Hunter fan mostly because it includes a light fixture with 4 lamps pointing downwards into the room, and I thought that would provide the best choice for lighting. The fan diameter, 52″, is the same as the fan it replaced.I was impressed by the quality of the fan during installation – the assembly is intelligently designed to make it as easy as possible to install on the ceiling, the ceiling bracket has rubber bumpers where it fits against the ceiling, the fan blades are attached using rubber grommets, wiring is straightforward, and the packaging even includes a few extra parts as spares. Compared to the fan I removed, the assembly is considerably better designed. The fan blades are different shades of stain on the two sides so you can chose which one you prefer.I have Philips Hue LED smart bulbs installed in my fan, giving me greater control over the lighting and at highest intensity the lighting in my study is just what I was looking for.The fan itself is quiet and powerful, noticeably better than the older fan I replaced.In all respects I’m fully satisfied with this fan and happy with the choice I’ve made.

NICE HUNTER FAN
This Hunter fan has a nice dark patina to go with updated decor, and the lights are LED, which is more efficient and less expensive to use. The blades can be put on exposing whichever of the 2 color choices you prefer, which is nice. I do wish parts of it came assembled, as it took quite awhile to put things together. We also wish Hunter offered an option that came with a longer down rod already in the box, as we did have to order the 36 inch down rod separately. The down rod arrived at a different date, delaying installation. Overall, though, Hunter products usually have been made well. Our first Hunter fan we had was installed in 1985 and lived until 2024. I hope this newer one performs as well.

This fan is AWESOME
My bedroom is inexplicably 10 degrees warmer than any other room in the house. It’s an old brick house. It’s just something I have to deal with. I had a ceiling fan in here before installing this one and it did NOTHING. I might as well have not had it on. I would have an air conditioner on, ceiling fan, and small desk fan pointed right at me and then it would be tolerable. Now I only need this ceiling fan. In 90 degree weather this thing on high is enough. Sometimes in in cooler weather I need to turn it down or I’ll be cold. I have NEVER been cold in this bedroom. Even in winter. I didn’t think a ceiling fan could really make this much of a difference.The installation was as much of a pain as installing a ceiling fan would be but it wasn’t rocket science. It’s just kind of a pain to actually have to do it. You need to cut the power obviously, take down the old dusty/broken one (if you have one), and piece this one together and get it hung up. It’s really not that bad though. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. Just follow the instructions and you’ll be fine. It’s very sturdy (where my old one would squeak, rattle, shake occasionally). Super quiet. If you need a ceiling fan this is the one to get.

Bought this fan and separate Hunter remote in time for heat wave. I had electrician install in primary bedroom and it works fantastic. I ran it practically day and night for months when it was unbearably hot. Thanks to this fan I was able to sleep. Love the bright light for when Iâm cleaning my room.
