Very pleased with this fan
I was looking for a 60″ outdoor fan with light for my new patio cover. I wanted AC power, which I read will provide more wind movement than DC, although it uses slightly more electricity. There are 3 fan speeds, controlled by a very simple remote. High is more than adequate for my needs and I will probably use medium more than high. Low is pretty slow and although it won’t keep the bugs off it will be nice on cooler days.The light is LED and is bright enough at night without being harsh. A double-press on the button will turn it on/off. Hold the button and the light becomes variable, cycling between bright and dim. Another double-press will return it to on/offThe fan arrived well packaged with lots of foam to protect it. All the individual parts were wrapped or double wrapped in clear plastic. I have learned from previous fan purchases to use a digital scale to weigh all of the blades. This will let you know if the fan will not balance properly. These 3 blades weighed exactly the same to the tenth.Assembly instructions were very good with only a few very minor grammatical mistakes, nothing that caused a problem with assembly. The only assembly problem I had was with a part called the “knobs” plate, which is a decorative piece to cover the screws on the top Canopy piece (which covers the wiring and hanging ball bracket). The knobs piece pushes up on the ball, which won’t seat properly in the bracket. I disassembled and removed this piece with no detriment to the fan’s looks. The fan works very well and the remote is very handy. It does have an expensive battery but they last a long time. I’ve had this type of battery for a garage door opener and never had a problem finding one. They last a long time.Overall I’m very pleased with this outdoor ceiling fan. It meets all of my requirements and I’m looking forward to using it on my new patio.

Remote is lacking but works, Moves a lot of air!
This fan requires a bunch of patients to install it. The instructions were detailed, however the way I installed it made attaching the fan blade really annoying. The fan motor is quite heavy, but the mount which attaches to the ceiling is sturdy. I thought this fan came with different sizes, but the pole which came with the fan was a short one which I am happy it was because if it was longer it wouldânt have worked because my ceiling is 8ft.The wirings, and remote receiver was very simple to wire, and get hung. My problems started when I was mounting the fan blades. It was quite difficult to mount the blades by myself. It became a lot easier when someone else was with me.The LED light is very bright, which I am extremely happy that this was the case. Most of these types of LED lights are very dim, but this one has a nice brightness. You can not change the light color to a more white, it is an incandescent look.The remote is a little lack luster. The power button only turns off the fan, not the light if you have the light on. You must hit one of the number 1 2 3 buttons in order to start the fan even if you turn off the fan by the power. The light only works with the remote. I also believe you can not reverse the fan itâs only set to the down draft rotation which is clockwise.The look of this fan is wonderful. I love the style, and it moves air very effectively. I wish it had some of the basic features ceiling fans have.

Big fan with some serious issues
I’ve installed a lot of celling fans, and typically it takes 40 minutes to complete the installation (assuming there is a suitable mounting box). In fact, the first time I installed the Inlight 60 Inch Indoor Ceiling Fan with LED Light and Remote Control it took around that time. However, when I went to turn on the fan it only moved a few inches and stopped. After checking the wiring with no success, I took the fan down and looked at everything. Putting it back up the second time resulted in the same result. The light would come on, but the fan just wouldn’t turn.After taking it down a second time I put on a single blade at a time. What I found was that as I tightened up a blade the fan would no longer spin freely. It would go a few inches then bind on something. I then added a couple of washers to the fan blade mounting screws so they wouldn’t go as far into the mounting hub. At that point it would spin freely, and it has been running fine since. My only conclusion is that either 1) the mounting screws are too long, or 2) something on the back side of the mounting hub was not installed properly.Aside from this quality control issue, the included remote control uses a 12v battery (23A 12V). Luckily one is included, but I know from experience that it will be a hassle to replace it. It would be much better if it were normal AA or AAA.Of note is that the light is super bright! You might think that is a good thing, but it is just too bright. Sadly, there is no way to dim it. The included remote is simply on/off for the light.For $249 I expect much better.

Big fan
This fan was quite a bit bigger than what I anticipated but thatâs fine. I had plenty of room for it. Itâs a three blade fan. If that matters it has LED light that in my opinion could be a little brighter. The fan itself moves a lot of air and I like that itâs reversible. It was easy to install. I had it up in 20 minutes.
