Benefits & Use Cases
This solar floodlight is engineered for versatile outdoor applications where reliable, energy-efficient lighting is essential. Its high lumen output makes it ideal for illuminating driveways, pathways, garages, sheds, barns, fences, and perimeter security around homes. The ability to adjust the light direction allows users to highlight specific areas such as entry doors or garden features. The extended 16.4-foot cord provides flexibility in positioning the solar panel away from the light head—perfect for installations where the panel must be mounted on a roof or high wall to maximize sun exposure. Since the light operates automatically from dusk to dawn without requiring motion sensors, it’s well-suited for low-traffic zones needing constant visibility. The IP65 rating ensures consistent performance in wet, cold, or hot climates, including regions prone to snow or heavy rainfall.
Important Notes
The actual runtime may vary based on seasonal sunlight intensity, cloud cover, and geographic location. In areas with limited daylight or during winter months, full nighttime performance could be reduced. The product does not include a motion sensor; it functions on a fixed dusk-to-dawn cycle. Proper placement of the solar panel in direct sunlight throughout the day is crucial for optimal charging. The package includes mounting screws and anchors for secure outdoor installation. Customers appreciate the design and build quality, though individual experiences may differ regarding perceived brightness, battery longevity, and value. Professional after-sales service is available to support installation and troubleshooting.

Works great all night
I bought this for my chicken coop to provide supplemental light in the fall and winter to keep the chickens laying. The light lasts all night with a full charge and provides just enough light.I do not use the motion feature so I cannot comment on that.I’m very happy with the product and would buy it again if I need another.

Impressed with the battery life , .. from 830pm to 6;30 am when the sun makes its way out
Iâve accepted the fact that solar lights wonât be very bright. The hard part is really finding one that lasts all night. And this one does. Posted a pic to show brightness. I think the phone didn some camera low light rendering magic. Itâs not that bright as a the pic makes it out to be. But a very acceptable brightness given that it last all night. There is no motion detection⦠( thatâs a good thing for me ). Itâs just on at dusk and off at dawn. Thatâs what I was looking for .

Nice little light…
UPDATE: 6/09/2024 – What I feared would happen with the original has happened. A few too many hot/cold cycles and some heavy winds have broken the mounting mast at the base (see attached photos). Since I mounted the original with one mast and piggy backed the light and the solar panel, I have one more mast. I’ve re-mounted using different screws with broader washers in the hope of spreading the mounting load a little better. We shall see…I still like the original and it still works just fine. Glad I noticed it was basically hanging by a thread before it crashed to the ground and I’ll keep using it till it dies.UPDATE: 11-17-2023The new unit pretty much sucks compared to the older unit I bought. It’s bright enough when it first comes on but, as I feared, it doesn’t last the night. It provides very little illumination for when I want it at 4AM. Pretty much petered out by then. Nothing more than a glorified night light you’d put in your bathroom. I boxed it up and gave it away. My original 4 stars still stands for the “original” light I purchased._____________________________________________________________________I bought one of these to light up a fairly dark alley at my apartment complex back in June of 2023 and it does the job well. Not too bright to anger neighbors but bright enough to see what’s going on outside. The first photo is of where I mounted it, a utility pole. The second photo is of a new one I just bought and mounted outside my garage. They are very different.A few things I didn’t like about the “original”, we’ll call it, is that it did not offer much adjustability other than being able to mount the solar panel directly to the light or the option to mount it separately to aim it better if needed. The new one comes with a fixed cable coming from the solar panel taking that option away. The new one has “swivel” ball mounts, and you must use both mounting masts. You can now rotate it a bit, which I like, but don’t need on this particular application.I wanted a dusk to dawn light outside my garage that didn’t rely on motion to kick in when I go outside at 4AM to head to work. No idea at this point how bright it will be as I just mounted it. I can say that the “old” one functions from dusk to dawn…more than I can say for some other solar powered lights I have on my back patio which give up the ghost on low illumination after several hours. And they get plenty of sunlight. They are being replaced tomorrow…I live in a high wind area and was worried about the “original” as the mounts are plastic and a bit “flexy” but so far so good. The “new” ones feel even flexier as they are all plastic and use fewer screws. I wonder if these, both old and new, will hold up over time. Besides being windy, I’m in the high desert with temps ranging from 15 degrees to 115 degrees. Only time will tell how many hot to cold cycles these can withstand. We shall see…Funny thing is you can go directly to the Jacky LED website, and you will not see this version shown anywhere. Besides looking different and the new mounting system, the battery rating has been reduced from 5500 mAh to 4000 mAh while still stating 1000 lumens. I sure hope it still lasts all night like the old one…it would appear they’ve “moved” costs around into the mounting system and downgraded the battery to still offer a cost-effective unit. Time will tell.I will update as time goes by if I come across any negatives…

Great outdoor light!
I purchased this light to go on my detached garage. We live out in the country, and it gets very dark at night! This solar power light was easy to install, has been working great, and provides more than adequate light where it’s needed. The solar panel has unblocked view of the sun, and it still has light in the morning, only shutting off after the sun comes up. I liked it so much that I purchased a second one to go in front of my well house! I would definitely recommend this light to anyone that wants to go solar for outdoor lights. PS: the long cord between the panel and the light made it possible to have the panel in a great spot to soak up the sunlight, while the light itself is exactly where I needed it to be.

Fine when it works
I put this up to provide a little light over the driveway. We have a side door that exits right onto the drive and the porch light does a great job for her car. My pickup is usually parked farther back, thatâs what this solar floodlight is for. Iâve got upcoming renovations so I didnât want to run electric just yet-this was a super easy install. That being said, the first full day after it was put up was mostly cloudy so it didnât get a good charge. Started out dim at sunset and didnât stay on long. When itâs a bright sunny day it charges well and almost lasts through a long winter night, and the light is pretty bright. Iâm writing this the 3rd week of November 2024, so weâve had plenty of cloudy days and late in the day trees block some of the sun and as a result this light struggles. I mounted the solar panel as high as I could reasonably put it. Other than solar deck lights (which I donât care about the brightness-and they stay on all night) this is my first experience with a solar light. When all conditions are right it works well, the rest of the time I am underwhelmed.

Work great
Stays lit all night. (11+ hours) The mounting screws are cheap and weak. Just substitute some deck screws and good to go.

Awesome
I use this light over my target in the backyard so I can shoot my airgun at night. This works fantastic!

5 out of 6 ain’t bad (nor great)
Given my particular needs, I had to build custom base to hold the light panels. The bracket for light wouldn’t work as desired.Pros- Bright, focused circular pattern (not a flood light)- Lasts 6+ hours with full chargeCons- Bracket and mounting screws seem very undersized, so I question the long term reliability. Especially in windy conditions. I added a wood spacer to each bracket to help stabilize.- 1 of 6 solar panels wouldn’t hold charge for more than 90 minutes.

I bought as a pole light. It isn’t that bright. We installed over a door and it works okay there. I have had it for over 6 months still working. Don’t expect a lot of light. It is dim.
