Little size but Packs a punch
At first when this arrived, it came in a small box. The box was about the size of an “banker’s box” of files. I was shocked that a leaf blower would fit in it…. then I opened the box, only to reveal an even smaller box… smaller than a shoebox. I thought it was impossible for the leaf blower I purchased to fit in it…. however, there it was. It is small, but obviously smaller when you remove the black hose like tube on the end. It came with two tubes, and two bags for “dust collection”. I don’t think I would ever use this device for a vacuum, but I kept the bags anyway. Some people received a carry bag, but I received two collection bags which would fit over the “exhaust” end, and almost use as a leaf blower in reverse.I intended on using this device around our in-ground pool to blow away the sand that the kids track in from the sandbox which was ingeniously located right next to the pool…… I found that it was the perfect size, as I didn’t need to grab our large and loud back-pack leaf blower. I loved it, and the battery last for a long time! It seems pretty quick to charge, but I never really had to use it right away when it wasn’t charged.As far as power, it is pretty powerful. It won’t blow you away or anything, but it does take care of larger messes than I thought.I read through the instruction manual, and noticed that somewhere in there it mentions “Makita” which is a reputable tool company. I am not sure if this is made by that company, but I swear it said something about Makita products referring to this unit.I actually keep this in my car and found many uses for it. I have a multitude of blow up toys (for the kids)… I have a blow up pool, a giant 6 foot ball, some rafts, etc. The blower actually fits perfect in to the larger “Boston” valve on the bigger blow up items, and with some creative engineering, I can get it to blow up the smaller valves as well.I have even used it in my home to blow dust and pet hair off the floor and couch. Yeah it sounds crazy, but if you buy one, you will do it too! You can use it to clean off work spaces in the garage, or to blow out your car’s interior, or the bed of the pickup truck, or under the bed liner. I get too much enjoyment from this little tool. :)It is so small, that on my birthday, we had family over, and of course they had gotten me a cake. I was by the pool, in my suit and wrapped in a towel, so after they sang the obligatory “Happy Birthday”, I whipped this baby out from under my towel and blew out the candles with it. (You are probably thinking that I could be 600 pounds, so that is not impressive, but I am 5 ft 2 in, and 120 pounds).First impression: What the ?????…. Oh I am so returning this…..First Use: Wow, this is pretty cool… better than expected.. maybe I will keep it…Now : You’d better pry this from my cold dead fingers…..Can’t live without it.

Lightweight and powerful enough for home use – improved from previous model
I’m not a contractor. I’m not a landscaper.I’m just a homeowner who has a patio, deck and driveway that get covered with leaves during the fall months.Our gardeners use a much larger and much more powerful blower, but they’re blowing leaves out from our planter beds and under shrubbery. I just need something that blows leaves off solid surfaces like driveways and decking. In fact, it probably just takes practice, but our gardener let me try using his one day, and his blower was so strong that I ended up scattering leaves all over the place.This blower is powerful enough to move leaves and small twigs while still giving me control enough to corral them into my large debris dust bin.I bought an older version of this same blower several years ago for another home and there are several differences – – – improvements, in my opinion:- the battery that came with the previous one does not have a power level indicator, nor does it plug in directly to charge as these do. The other battery has a separate charger base that you slide the battery onto for charging (much like Makita battery chargers). This new version plugs the charging cable directly into the battery itself, and the indicator lights that show that charging is complete are on the charging brick itself – – – space saving and efficient!The battery lasts several full sessions, and the on-battery charge indicator is also super handy and very accurate.- My previous blower has just one speed and you control the strength with the trigger. For example, fully press the trigger for full strength when sweeping across large areas, then just partially depress it for a gentler strength when guiding the leaves into the debris dust bin. This is very easy to do, but the newer model is even easier.This newer model has a separate speed dial on the side of the blower. Depress the trigger fully no matter what speed you prefer and use the lever to adjust the strength.It’s a separate step which gives you the same variation of speeds and allows you to just keep the trigger depressed fully even when using a low setting.Attachments simply twist on and off. There are notches on the male end, and 2 nubs on the female end. Line up the nubs with the notches, insert then twist. Easy on and off. All attachments are plastic, so there’s no worry about corrosion or rust.Lastly, this thing weighs next to nothing. I’m a 5’4″, 135lb woman in my mid 60’s and I can walk around using it with one hand very easily. It’s lightweight enough so I can hold it in one hand and maneuver the debris bin in the other . . . no problem.I had initially been looking at Makita blowers mainly because all our other tools are Makita and we already have multiple Makita batteries. I thought it would be simpler to just use the same batteries across all our tools.This blower uses it’s own proprietary batteries but the batteries don’t use a standalone separate charger (to store and take up space) and this comes with 2 batteries so it comes with its own spare.We bought it once and love it at our primary home. We liked it enough to buy it again and am even happier with this upgraded version for our second home too.

After reading some negative reviews I am still pleased I bought this item.The blower is good and gets into tight corners and is useful for blowing cobwebs off fencing.Vac I am finding useful in my garage for cleaning cobwebs and dust.Overall I am pleased, I have the 2ah batteries, so very lightweight and each lasts about 15 minutes continuous use on medium power.Only problem I found was it came with an American 110v charger. Had to buy a UK 240v charger which cost around £10.00.
