Easy installations, affordable, and safety
Our family decided to upgrade to the smart lock after a few instances of forgetting the keys. By comparing few smart locks on Amazon , we decided to give mendock a try. What we like about it,1. The key is definitely high quality and feels expensive. A good plus is the package is also strong to protect the smart lock.2. The instruction is super easy to follow for installations. It looks me about 1 hour to install and I am not a super handy girl at all.3. It can be unlocked by password, the app via Bluetooth, or the keys ( itâs come with a pair.)4. We feel safe with the lock, the value, and the convenience this Mendock smart lock brings us.

Easy to Install and Connect with Bluetooth. Requires Gateway to Use WiFi (Alexa, etc)
I really like the way this lock looks. It goes well with our house.It was very easy to install, and connected to the phone app via bluetooth with little difficulty. Unfortunately, it requires a WiFi Gateway to control via WiFi (Alexa Google, etc). The gateway connects to your home via WiFi, and to the lock via bluetooth, precluding the need to connect directly to the lock via your phone’s bluetooth. But, with the gateway, I have been able to use Alexa to lock and unlock it, and to check whether it is locked or unlocked. I am also able to do the same thing with the app, regardless of where I am, which is nice when you aren’t certain whether or not you locked the door.Unfortunately, the delicate little tabs on the cover broke off (see pic), at some point, though thus far that doesn’t prevent the cover from staying on.Overall, I am rather pleased with the lock.

Good Looking Great Smart Lock Installed and Operational in 20 Minutes [Replacement]
This is a great way to add ‘keyless’ entry to your home, or some other room where you need to know who is coming and going. It came packaged very securely and compactly.INSTALLATION IS EASY! There is a full color, easy to follow instruction sheet, including how to download the app and connect your new Mendock smart lock to your phone. It comes with 2 keys [I still make additional copies for each car key ring in case one gets lost]. This lock has a nice feature that if your batteries go dead you can connect a micro USB cable with a portable charging device and open it. This is a GREAT feature if you get in the habit of not carrying the key, PLUS much less expensive to run to the store to get a portable charger and cable [$10] than calling a locksmith [$250]. Programming is SUPER EASY. You can have the app generate a code, or you can choose your own code 6-10 numbers – up to 250 codes, and they are all listed for you in the app so you can personalize the name of each code [for the people you give codes to]. When that user uses their code, you get notified on your app that they opened the lock using their code.Another way you can lock and unlock your lock is through the app on your phone. The app interface is VERY comprehensive and I haven’t gotten through all of it, because I am using it simply to replace an old keyed-only deadbolt lock. This lock is very well made, heavy duty, and super attractive. And, you can still use it the old-fashioned way by using your key, and bypassing the codes altogether. Super Nice Product!

Lacking features, doesn’t quite fit
This lock is decent. It functions well and serves it’s purpose. Packaging was spectacular. However, I was not able to find any way to adjust the depth for the deadbolt. The arm that pokes through the door is slightly too long, leaving a gap between the lock and the door. I live an a home that’s about 100 years old, so your mileage may vary. It’s possibly geared more towards cookie cutter houses and doors.

wow this home lock system is pretty amazing. and its actually kind of heavy i would suggest 2 people installing this one. The bronze finish is beautiful. I love that it provides the option for a key or a key code so no more panic if i leave the home without my keys as ill always still access with the created code. The instructions seem simple enough. I can’t wait to have my husband install this.

Easy Assembly
This lock was a snap to assemble. It works as stated. It is very convenient as I can unlock from my phone while walking toward the house. If so donât have my phone on me or I forget the passcode, I can always unlock it with a key. I can also assign a different code to family members.

Broken out of the box. Useless.
Item worked as a basic key lock only. It was broken, would’nt power on, wouldn’t do anything, but I passed the return window. It’s basically useless to me, I could have kept my old lock.

A VERY solid option and great value at this price
This keyless deadbolt offers impressive value, especially considering that many big brands sell similar models for three times the price. While Iâm not in love with the overall lookâsome name-brand options are sleeker, but even many of those can be bulky and unattractiveâthe functionality makes up for it.The core features work great, and the buttons are smooth and responsive, which is a surprisingly rare achievement. Iâve come across plenty of locks with sticky or malfunctioning buttons, but this one performs reliably. One improvement Iâd like to see is a tapered bolt to help it slide into the door frame more easily.Itâs bolt design will work with most Schlage bolts (which I think are cheap and break easily), and Iâd assume the keyway is similarly compatible, which is convenient. The app, however, is not my favoriteâit feels clunkyâbut the setup process is simple. Overall, for the price, itâs a solid performer with only a few minor drawbacks.
