Just what I wanted
I needed a second code because we have had contractors in our house. I didn’t want anything that was Bluetoothed to an app or my network. I wanted an instant lock button too. My previous lock didn’t have that and if the do wasn’t pulled tight it didn’t secure (yay kids lol).The installation was as expected, it was just a deadbolt swap and a couple of screws. The programming instructions sounds complicated as you read them, but once you do it, it’s easy. We changed the master code and set 4 additional codes easily.The lock feels secure.I’m happy with the purchase.

The installation was a cinch. The coding was a nightmare. Kept getting red lights and beeping. I finally “rebooted” the cable connection, and it magically worked. I got green lights. And I was able to use a 4-digit code and turn OFF the auto lock!

Literally made out of plastic and stops working within a week
Fairly easy to install if you know how to do it. This is made out of plastic, like a plastic spoon type of plastic. You can enter your code, or even use their code, and within a week all sudden that code is no longer working. As I have entered different code, and it will work for a few days and then it wonât. Also, even after putting it on the door as tight as you can, and twists and turns on the inside. There is no way that you could tighten it anymore than it can with the screws you were given. And as I said, it is made out of plastic. So, basically you have to just use the key because the code will not stay set. And with the screws provided thereâs no way you could secure this to the door tight enough for it not to turn on the inside. So it looks like a piece badly painted plastic that is always tilted on the inside

I bought two of these deadbolts for use in our home and at our cabin. Each took some time to install, but only because of issues with the doors! Be prepared to make adjustments to your door if it does not match the product specifications (in particular, a 2 1/8″ hole is needed in the door). A template is provided to help with this.Once that was looked after, the rest of the installation was easy, and instructions are very clear.Programming was a breeze – just follow the steps as in the manual. I like the fact that each member of our family can program in their own entry code (up to 50 can be stored). If you are having trouble getting the unit to lock, check to ensure the deadbolt lines up properly with the slot in the door casement. We had to fiddle with that part of one door as well.Seems to be an excellent product!A word of caution! Take care of the keys provided with the unit, even if they seem redundant. BAtteries do go dead!

The lock was easy to install. It worked really well. My wife and I were really happy with it. But less than 2 months, it started giving problem. When it auto locked, the motor only moved the lock half way. And when i tried to move it manually, it was really hard to move. Seemed like the motor got stuck. I reset the lock by taking out the batteries. It worked again for a while then it started to give the same problem again. Then, when i press the codes, it would unlock the lock or lock by it Not sure if I got a lemon or what. And it already passed the 30 days exchange period so I am stuck with it.By chance, I tried to change the batteries with high end alkaline batteries. Magic… It is working well now. Apparently, it didn’t work well with regular batteries. So, do yourself a favor: only use high-end alkaline batteries with this product. So i changed my review from 2 stars to 5 stars.
