The minimalist metal design blends seamlessly into contemporary interiors, making it ideal for bedrooms, studios, dorm rooms, or shared spaces where functionality and aesthetics matter.
Key Features
- Heavy-Duty Steel Construction: Built from robust, high-quality steel, this daybed delivers exceptional strength and stability. The durable frame resists bending and warping over time, supporting consistent daily use in various household settings.
- Adjustable Pop-Up Trundle System: At the heart of this daybed lies its innovative adjustable trundle. Equipped with built-in braces, the trundle can be easily raised to create valuable under-bed storage space—perfect for storing linens, seasonal clothing, or bedding. When needed, it lowers smoothly to form a full twin-sized sleeping surface, effectively doubling your room’s utility.
- Twin-Size Design: Sized perfectly for single occupants, this daybed fits comfortably in compact spaces such as small apartments, children’s rooms, or bunk bed configurations. Its streamlined profile ensures it doesn’t overwhelm narrow layouts while still providing ample headroom and legroom.
- Modern Industrial Aesthetic: With clean lines, geometric shapes, and a metallic finish, the Merax daybed complements contemporary, urban, or industrial-themed interiors. Its understated elegance makes it suitable for a wide range of décor styles without drawing excessive attention.
- Stable Assembly & Reinforced Structure: Engineered for safety and longevity, the daybed includes reinforced joints, secure fasteners, and a balanced frame layout. Once assembled according to instructions, it remains steady during use, whether occupied alone or with the trundle extended.

Benefits & Use Cases
This Merax daybed excels in environments where space is at a premium but comfort and reliability are non-negotiable. In studio apartments or urban homes, the dual-purpose design allows one piece of furniture to serve as both seating and sleeping area—ideal for overnight guests or family members visiting temporarily. Children and teenagers benefit from the secure, elevated sleeping platform, while the lower trundle provides a safe play or reading nook below.
Beyond practicality, the under-trunk storage compartment becomes a convenient organizer for out-of-season clothing, extra blankets, shoes, or toys—keeping clutter off floors and freeing up closet space. Because the trundle adjusts manually via simple brace locks, there’s no need for complex mechanisms or electricity, ensuring dependable performance year after year.
Suitable for bedrooms, home offices, game rooms, or even temporary rental units, this daybed adapts effortlessly to changing needs. Its neutral metallic tone pairs well with wood finishes, upholstered chairs, or colorful bedding, allowing homeowners to personalize their space without replacing the entire setup.
Important Notes
- Assembly is required and must be completed using the provided instructions to ensure structural integrity and safe operation of the trundle mechanism.
- For optimal lifespan, avoid placing the daybed in damp areas such as basements, bathrooms, or outdoor patios. Prolonged exposure to humidity may accelerate corrosion on metal components.
- When adjusting the trundle, always disengage the brace before lifting or lowering it. Do not force movement if resistance is encountered—check alignment and ensure all parts are properly seated.
- The package contains all necessary frames, slats, hardware, and adjustment tools—but does not include a mattress. Users should select a standard twin-sized mattress compatible with daybed platforms (typically 5” to 7” thick).
- Recommended for indoor residential use only. Not rated for commercial or institutional environments.

Instructions thoroughly clear and items packed with labels that match the instructions
Results turned out as expected. I used 5â mattress and Iâm not quite so sure with the 4.75â gapped bars for the support underneath, but weâll see in the long run. I might have to get a support board for my cheap mattresses. I weigh 120 lb and it was able to handle my weight. My husband weighs 180 and he felt stable with the main bed, but the extra bed was a lil shaky when it was folded out.I did this on my own and I would recommend asking for a second hand once you have the right and left side of the daybed screwed in. I used a stepping stool just to prop it up and get it to the level the holes it needed to match it up to. If you follow instructions, there shouldnât be any problems. There were a few screws left over.Downfall? I had to delay the assembly only to discover 4 of the holes were not threaded correctly. Annoyed that I couldnât screw them in all the way down. Luckily we have YouTube and I was able to figure out that I needed to buy a tap (thread) or die tool, since thereâs no use of repacking the item and returning it. I use the tool to strip some metal off in order for the screws to catch and tighten the posts. *phew, now I donât have to return the bed.Update: I added 2â memory foam pad to each mattress. Just to get an idea how thick you can get away with for the bottom bed, it fits fine to be able to slide it under the daybed. It may need a little more nudge to slide under, but it’s not a deal breaker for me.
