Benefits & Use Cases

This micro drill bits set with pin vise excels in applications requiring fine detail and controlled precision. Crafters will appreciate its ability to create perfectly sized holes in polymer clay jewelry, resin pendants, and ceramic beads—materials that can crack under the sudden torque of electric tools. The manual operation allows users to apply steady, consistent pressure, reducing the risk of breakage or uneven drilling.

Artisans working with wood miniatures, model building, or leather crafts also benefit from the variety of bit sizes, which enable clean, accurate hole-making without splintering or tearing. For those involved in electronics repair or prototyping, the included ultra-fine PCB bits make it possible to work safely on sensitive circuit boards, removing damaged traces or adding micro-vias without damaging surrounding components.

Because the drill doesn’t require power, it’s ideal for outdoor projects, field repairs, or situations where access to electricity is limited. Whether you’re at home, in a studio, or on location, this tool remains ready to perform. Its portability means you can carry it in your pocket, purse, or craft kit—ensuring you never miss an opportunity for precise work.

Additionally, the twist-style chuck system allows for quick and secure bit changes without tools, streamlining workflow during multi-step projects. Each bit is held firmly in place, minimizing slippage and enhancing safety during use.

Important Notes

This product comes with a real lifetime warranty from Craft911. If you experience any defect or malfunction with the pin vise hand drill, the manufacturer will replace it at no cost to you. Please note that the package includes only the pin vise body and the 29 drill bits—no additional accessories, adapters, or storage cases are included.

Handle the drill bits with care, as they are extremely fine and can snap if forced or dropped. Always start drilling slowly and steadily, especially when working with hard or brittle materials. Applying too much pressure or using erratic motions may damage both the bit and your workpiece. For best results, use a steady hand and allow the bit to do the work—let the tool glide through the material rather than pushing aggressively.

Store the set in a dry environment away from moisture and dust to preserve the sharpness and longevity of the bits. While these bits are made of high-speed steel, repeated use on hard materials may dull them over time. Regular cleaning and proper technique will extend their usable life significantly.

IT WORKS!!! It’s perfect, read for tips…
I had already done some research on how to use a hand drill, it is very important DO NOT PUSH!I purchased this after I realized I could not screw in a tiny eye screw into a piece of plastic for earrings like you can in the drywall with the big ones.I specifically chose this one because I had no idea what size drillbit I needed and this one came with the micro bits and was a great price. So glad I did because the regular drill bits are pretty big and I ended up needing the fourth smallest microbit for lego earrings. It’s a very solid tool that looks like it will last me a long time and can be used for lots of projects. It’s fairly straightforward, if you’ve ever used a regular drill or an exacto knife the bit installation is the same, and if you ever used an eyeglass repair screwdriver, turning it with one hand is the same. If you have large hands, you can use your palm, but I have small hands, really medium sized for a woman, so I put my index finger on top and used my other fingers to turn it, while I held the Lego with my left hand. I practiced a few times on a Lego brick.I didn’t use any pressure. I just held it steady and turned it, it takes quite a few turns to get it started. Once you get it started it goes pretty easy. Again, do not use force. Maybe with the larger bits on some thing more dense you may have to use a little pressure, but on the small drill bits definitely DO NOT force it! The micro bit I used is extremely sharp, it was very easy to make the hole. Just concentrate on keeping it straight. If you don’t know which size bit to use start with a smaller one because you can always make the hole bigger. And it never hurts to test it out on some thing you don’t care about first. The box came with a URL and QR code that went nowhere. If you need instructions, just search the Internet for how do use a hand drill.I have been buying my Lego earrings on Amazon but I wanted a very specific one they didn’t have and now that I know I can make my own earrings out of plastic toys I will be making a lot! LOLFor Lego figures: drill a hole through each piece separately, first the hat or hair of the from the inside so you can see where the middle of the circle is, then the top of the head, and last through the neck. Put all pieces together and screw in your eye screw. I didn’t put any glue on it, I’m not sure if I need it, seems like it’s going to hold without it.

    Excellent Tiny Drill
Wonderful product. Perfect for tiny craft. Be gentle. Do not apply pressure or you’ll easily break the bits, which are really sharp and work great.

So far, so good… But- see the pro’s and con’s below.
Package arrived next day as promised, (thank you!) and product undated. This is to be used in model building of a 1/350 scale USS ENTERPRISE production style.• PROS: The holder is easy to handle; putting in the bits in takes a little time to get used to, but easily learned. The mico bits are separate from the regular bits, and well protected by a heavy gage plastic case. The regular bits come in a plastic tube with stiff rubber ends that are pulled off by hand. I did use this to open up a few extra holes wiring this project for lighting, and the product worked fine.• Cons: Though the main storage case is easy to open, the micro bit case is a little difficult. (I’ll try to remember to attach a pic) Once this case is opened, the bits are nicely stored in a holder; but, I wish that on the place that looks like it could’ve been used to put each size is blank. I understand that there is a measuring gage on the front of the main storage case, but who wants to take the time to measure each one during a build? 🤷🏼‍♂️ This should’ve been taken care of right off the bat at the company. They are color coded, but I still would like to see the size up front. I wanted to know where to purchase replacement bits (just in case) but the “scan me” icon takes you back to the original Amazon page where you purchased it from; I couldn’t find any replacement statements, and when I asked the question on this page, the company only wrote, “Yes, you can purchase replacements”, but nothing else. The other icon to scan on the front of the main storage box takes you absolutely nowhere. 🙄 I thought it may be a tips and hacks for this, but apparently not.• PLEASE NOTE: Let the bit do the work! Don’t press down, or try to hurry the process up. I haven’t broken one as of yet, and hope that I don’t; but I can see where it would snap easily due to the size. When you open the regular bit tube, do so over a towel or similar; though I say, “regular”, they aren’t you everyday drill bits from Lowe’s or Home Depot. I was using the term regular to denote these not being the color coded micro bits. The idea I’m going to use since I have a regular workbench is making my own holder. Using a piece of pine, I plan on measuring each one, and drilling holes in one line to fit (bottom first) each micro bit, then a line for the others. Then take my brother label maker and mark each one. Just a thought… 🤷🏼‍♂️😄🪛 (Pic now attached as #3)Thank you,Doc LykinsVirginia
