Great Replacement Fan – Silent DC Motor
I purchased this fan to replace a 33 year old fan I installed when I first moved into my home. The new Minka-Aire went in the bedroom and is totally silent. The remote control is very intuitive and was easy to synch with the fan. I also installed a BOND hub so I can operate the fan using Alexa. The install went very smoothly. First you install the mounting bracket to the ceiling fan box and then lift the fan motor (sans blades) and insert the ball on the end of the down rod into this bracket. This makes it very easy to mount and wire the fan. The fan I installed 33 years ago required to people to hold the fan while I wired it and then I had to hold it in place in order to install the mounting screws which was very difficult. These new installation designs are great and one person can easily make the installation. I easily installed the fan blades to the motor once it was mounted and wired. Couldn’t have been easier.

Great Ceiling Fan
I got this ceiling fan to replace one with longer blades. I already had two of this same model in other rooms so I was familiar with the product. It does the job in this large room. I had it installed by my electrician. I highly recommend it.

Donât buy! Not worth your money
I bought 3 of these fans because they were exactly what I wanted for my back porch three years ago. After a year when the warranty was up the first fan stopped working then a few months later the second fan stopped working now five months later the third fan has died. Called customer service they said I need a receiver for all three at 107.00 a piece plus tax and probably shipping too. Thatâs absolutely ridiculous after what I paid for these fans. What if that is not the problem then I have another 300 to 400 dollars invested. Save your money! They are garbage! I went and bought some cheap ones all for less than the price of one of these and they all work great.

Easy to install. Light dims if you set the DIP switch inside remote. DO THAT. Otherwise the light is bright.fan spins silently and without wobble. GREAT FAN.

Mostly Great!
The fan works well, virtually silent even on its highest setting, and is very sturdy. The app works well, both with Google and with Apple devices. The light is VERY bright, so I donât raise it more than 25/30% most of the time, which I like.The only two âconsâ would be that the remote is a little wonky with controlling the light. I struggle to be able to simply turn my light off, and most of the time end up just asking my smart receivers to âTurn Off the Windmolen.â The other is that, while it puts out a decent amount of air, I do feel slightly underwhelmed by the highest two settings. The pit out just barely more air than the 15 year old cheap fan that it replaced.I donât regret my purchase at all.
