Product Overview
This motion sensor ceiling light offers a smart, energy-efficient lighting solution designed for indoor spaces where convenience and safety are essential. Powered entirely by batteries—requiring four D-cell alkaline types (not included)—it eliminates the need for wiring or electrical outlets, making it ideal for areas without easy access to power. The light automatically activates when motion is detected in low-light conditions, providing instant illumination exactly when you need it. With a bright yet gentle 300-lumen output and a neutral 6000K white color temperature, it delivers daylight-like clarity without causing glare or discomfort. Whether used in closets, stairwells, hallways, pantries, showers, or sheds, this wireless LED fixture ensures hands-free operation that enhances both functionality and everyday comfort.
Key Features
- Advanced PIR Motion Detection: Equipped with a passive infrared (PIR) sensor capable of detecting movement within a wide 120-degree arc and up to 18 feet away. The sensor triggers the light instantly upon detecting motion, ensuring no delay when navigating dark spaces at night or during low-visibility conditions.
- Bright Soft White Illumination: Produces 300 lumens of soft white light at a 6000K color temperature, closely matching natural daylight. This level of brightness is sufficient for safely moving through dimly lit areas like staircases or storage rooms while minimizing eye strain.
- Automatic Shut-Off Timer: After 20 seconds of no detected motion, the light turns off automatically. This feature not only conserves battery life but also prevents wasteful lighting when the space is unoccupied.
- Wireless & Battery Operated: Runs on four D-cell alkaline batteries (sold separately), allowing for flexible placement anywhere indoors—no drilling, wiring, or outlet required. Perfect for renters or anyone seeking a plug-and-play lighting option.
- Wide Coverage Area: Effectively illuminates approximately 180 square feet, making it suitable for small to medium-sized rooms such as entryways, stair landings, and utility spaces.
- Modern Aesthetic Design: Features a clean, minimalist white poplar finish that blends seamlessly into contemporary home interiors, enhancing both form and function.
- Easy Installation: Designed for quick mounting without tools or complex setup. Simply install the light in your desired location and insert batteries to begin using immediately.

Benefits & Use Cases
This motion-activated ceiling light is especially valuable in frequently accessed but typically dark indoor environments where constant lighting would be inefficient or impractical. In stairways, it provides immediate visibility whether someone is ascending from below or descending from above—greatly improving nighttime safety. For closets and pantries, it eliminates the frustration of fumbling in the dark by illuminating only when needed. Its design also makes it well-suited for moisture-prone areas like bathrooms and showers, thanks to its reliable performance in damp settings. Similarly, it’s an excellent choice for sheds, garages, basements, and hallways where permanent wiring isn’t feasible.
The dual-sensor system—activating only when both darkness and motion are present—ensures maximum energy savings. The light won’t turn on during the day or in brightly lit rooms, preventing unnecessary power consumption. This intelligent behavior extends battery life significantly compared to traditional always-on lights. Additionally, the absence of cords reduces tripping hazards and allows for effortless repositioning if room layouts change over time.
Whether you’re coming home late after work, grabbing something from the pantry at 2 a.m., or simply want safer navigation around the house, this wireless LED light responds quickly and reliably. It’s engineered to reduce clutter, simplify installation, and deliver dependable performance across a variety of common household scenarios.
Important Notes
Please note that four D-cell alkaline batteries must be purchased separately—they are not included with the product. For optimal performance, position the light in a location free from direct heat sources, strong air currents, or reflective surfaces that could interfere with the PIR sensor’s accuracy. While primarily intended for indoor use, it can be safely installed in covered outdoor areas such as patios or carports—provided it remains protected from rain and extreme weather. Regular battery replacement is recommended to maintain consistent brightness and responsiveness over time. To prolong battery life, ensure the unit is stored in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Works well
Seems like good quality; easy to install, throws a good amount of light especially in a closet.Motion sensor and auto on/off make it very useful and keeps battery life.

Nice lights for the price
I purchased a bundle of 2 of these lights. They came quickly and well packed. They were easy to install and it seems like they’ll be easy to remove to change the batteries. I didn’t give them 5 stars because they’re not super-bright. 4.5 would have been about right. I installed one in a broom closet, and the light gives a good amount of light for that smaller closet. The other is in a larger coat closet, and while the light definitely is bright enough that I can find things, it’s still a little shadowy. The motion detector feature works very well. I just installed yesterday so I can’t speak to battery life.

Very bright! Work like a charm.
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!!! A BRIGHT light, with a high color temperature for my basement stairway. They put out a lot of light, I’d say 50% more than the rated 300 lumens. Or at least, it sure seems that way.I also like that it uses four “D” cells. I didn’t trace the circuit, but I’d wager that since bright white LED’s typically have a forward voltage of 2.9 volts, they are running them in series-parallel. What that means is that the batteries ought to last one hell of a long time! This is the kind of product that even Chinese mass production can’t really screw up. If they work when you first install them, you’re probably good as gold with this one. The plastic shell assembly is pretty well designed, and installation is a breeze. They supply drywall anchors, but the unit is pretty light, so simply affixing them to a closet ceiling with four drywall screws should be acceptable.I’ll definitely reorder these if I have another need.

Great motion detection- does not activate in moderate light
This unit has very good wide angle light distribution. It activates in low light conditions and activation is sensitive to movement in a wide range of positions. Unlike many of the motion activated lights I have used, light activation is inhibited in moderately low levels of light where light is not really needed. This should allow longer battery life. This is an excellent light to keep from stumbling over things in the dark where access to a light switch is not readily available at the entrance and also in places where electricity is not available at all. The properly inhibited light activation and the fact that it uses four D cell batteries will mean that the batteries will only have to be changed infrequently. I use this in a tractor barn where there is no electricity. Light output is not enough to use as a working light, but gives enough light to see whatâs around to prevent tripping, etc. All in all this is an excellent device â the best of this type that I have found so far.

Bright and convenient
This light does exactly as advertised. It comes on with slight motion and turns itself off after 20 seconds or so of no motion. Iâm one of those people who never remembers to turn off closet or attic lights so thatâs a big plus for me. If I could change anything about it, I would make it take smaller batteries. The batteries are very heavy and I donât think they come in lithium so they wonât be as long lasting. Still, this light is still working fine in my tiny attic space after a week so, at this point, thatâs a minor complaint. The light is bright and itâs big enough that it lights up a very large area.

Works GREAT 60%-70% of the time
I installed this in my closet and it is awesome when it turns on as intended but very frustrating when it doesn’t, which is at least 30% of the time. When it doesn’t turn on there is no way to manually activate it so it’s useless in those instances. I installed brand new batteries so that’s not the issue. I don’t know if I just received a faulty one but I wish the motion sensor was more reliable and that there was a way to manually activate it when the light doesn’t turn on via motion.

Love!
One of my favorite purchases from Amazon! I purchased this because my bathroom light is way too bright, especially first thing in the morning. This motion sensor lighting helps with that issue of not being too bright. The battery life is decent, I would say I change the batteries every 4-6 weeks.
