Finally a multi function toaster oven that lasts
Updated Review:We originally bought this in January 2023 and I wanted to give an update that we have been using this air fryer for 20 months now. We usually run it multiple times a day (usually in the morning for breakfast sausages and lunch for chicken nuggets and then occasionally in the evening for salmon or steak if the weather isn’t good for grilling) and it is still going strong. Needs a good cleaning, but other than that it is still in great shape.Original Review:When we moved to our new house, I wanted to get an air fryer and settled on getting a multi-function toaster oven that could air fry. This was our third fryer in 2 years. The previous 2 only lasted around 6 months each.Hopefully not jinxing myself, but it has now been 14 months and this one is still going strong. We use it daily for breakfast for toasting bread, bagels, cooking breakfast sausages, etc. We also use it daily at lunch as our toddler will only eat chicken nuggets for lunch. And we probably use is on average 1 day a week at nighttime to cook part of a dinner in (salmon fillet, steaks in wintertime, home fries, roasted veggies). Long story short, we use it a lot.I love the temperature probe for cooking meats. Works great. No guessing or continually having to stop, take it out, and check it. You just look over at the display and see where you are at and can easily enough estimate how much longer. The controls took a little bit of getting used to. They were not the most intuitive and I had to actually read the instruction manual. But after a couple weeks it is now very easy to use.Love the removable crumb bin on the bottom. Makes cleaning it very easy. There are these bars around the heating elements. I assume they are there to help protect them from getting hit, but they are a pain to clean when everything gets dirty. Burned on oil and grease are really hard to clean off without scratching the element’s glass with the steel wool. From the trial and errors and the other machines that failed, I learned that you don’t want a unit that has the coil power going through the mode selection knob. When you realize you are in the wrong mode and switch modes while the power is on, you burn the contacts off. Pretty sure several people in my household were doing that even though I told them not to and that is how our 2nd toaster died. The second was to have the controls on the side of the machine and not the top. I think the top gets too hot being over the oven and that is what killed our first toaster.

Best purchase I’ve made from Amazon
I was concerned that the NuWave oven would be too small. I Have a 1.1 cubic foot microwave thats Great for the quick stuff, and I had a 1.2 cf convection oven that gave up on me after 5 years of Very steady use. I have a full size oven and range that does the heavy duty 20lb turkeys and such- which only gets used once a year. This oven replaces my convection oven. I’ve had the NuWave oven for about 3 weeks now and use it about every other day, when I want a good home cooked meal, or a cake or pie, or lasagna. I live alone but i bake a lot of stuff just cos I can’t do tv dinners every day. The oven cavity size is perfect. The ad for it is a bit exaggerated I think- the ad states it can bake a 10lb chicken. I don’t think so. Maybe a 6 or 7lb at max to allow room for even heat circulation around the chicken so it would cook evenly. But regardless- it cooks everything that i throw at it to absolute perfection. The controls take a bit of getting used to, but i’m old school- so i don’t need the hundreds of pre-sets to play with. I bake, broil and air fry – so just a couple of settings and we’re makin’ chow! I clean it every time i use it. Its a breeze to clean, just have to give it adequate time to cool down and clean it with mild dish soap and then wipe it out with a clean, damp cloth and finish it with a dry cloth. Five minutes at most. The oven pre-heats FAST !! pre heat time to 350 deg from a dead start is 3.5 to 4 minutes. My convection took 9 minutes consistently. I don’t review a lot. I have to REALLY like something a lot to post a review on it. I’ve been shopping Amazon for many years. So far overall as far as appearance, ease of operation, performance this one nails ’em all. I hope that the longevity is as awesome as its other qualities! Its a Super machine!

    Gets hot hot hot
This countertop convection oven is the perfect size. It cranks as far as heat/temp inside but does not get too hot outside, which is nice. It’s surprisingly large inside. I like that it takes up less room on the counter and cooks better than the popular, more expensive brand that I have used for decades. Air fryer function works great. Toasts good too, and gets hot. There are many features, and the buttons are easy to read/use. The best features are . . . It does not light up the whole house at night when not in use . . . AND . . . wait for it. . . you can turn the hideous button beeping noise off. TG!! My only negative is that when you open the door, it bounces back up a little and can burn you, and the rack sometime dips down when you pull it out which you have to watch. Otherwise it is great and well worth the money.

    Love it!
This one replaced one we had for 20 years, and does so many more helpful things, starting with not heating up the kitchen as much as a stove oven. This one does everything from make toast to roasting meat, to air frying, to baking home made biscuits and rolls.Reading the manual is a must as the oven has many setting to cover every thing that you could do in stove oven. Most setting can be done with the touch of a few buttons. What a great addition in my kitchen and for my cooking.

    Must have and great price.
I use to have a couple ninja air fryers like this but after divorce I chose this one for the larger cooking oven, more functions and works a lot better than the ninja and more cooking options. Not as heavy built and sturdy as the ninja but this sit in one spot so that isn’t an issue. This one also comes with a cooking thermometer

    Surprised
This thing is way to complicated to operate! Can’t set the clock to keep it on like your microwave or oven. So I’ve just been using it manually instead. But it cooks great and faster than my old countertop. and the ad says up to a 10-pound chicken? No, they are wrong!! Yesterday for thanksgiving I cooked a 11 1/2-pound Turkey no problem at all! It fit in just right and came out in only 2 hours and 30 minutes!!I recommend!

The oven is beautiful. I gave 4 stars as it was returned. It was too small. I did not use it so I cannot comment on how well it performs.

I like the look, the settings to the side of door. I am not impressed with the door wanting to close while I am taking things out of the oven. I have burnt my arm on the glass/door frame a couple of times. Since I use this oven as my primary appliance for baking, roasting, air frying, etc it’s used almost daily. It works beautifully on whatever function I have used thus far. One issue besides the door problem is the noisy fan!!! It drives me crazy it’s so loud. It sounds as if it’s too big for the compartment it’s in and grinding its way out or bent. I may have to send it back for a trade in. ??
