Great size and intuitive controls; stays cool on the outside; quiet
This is my second air fryer. CR ranked it Very Good and my other one Excellent. I like this one better. It has a larger basket which not only holds more food but also gives you more room to reach in and turn the food over during cooking. The inner basket lifts out easily from the cooking basket, with the push of a button. It is quiet in operation and stays cool on the outside. You can put one hand on the top to steady it while you pull the cooking basked out of the machine using its handle. And it won’t heat up whatever you have near it on your counter. It has a bunch of automatic features–you can set it for fish, or chicken or French fries, etc. But if you want to set the time and temperature manually, they have made it easy and intuitive. It comes with only limited instructions, but you don’t need them once you figure out that to lift the inside basket out of the outside basket you slide the tab away from you with your thumb, which exposes a button hidden underneath. Push the button and lift it upwards and out with the handle. Easy. And foolproof. You can’t accidentally drop the outer basket. If you want detailed information on settings for cooking various foods, beyond the brief list provided, buy a book on cooking with air fryers. Amazon has them. Oh, and as to smell, when I preheated it I got just a whiff of smell as it burned off some oil or coating, but that odor went away as fast as it arrived. No smell during operations.

Well designed for the job.
The air fryer has convenient presets for various food types. However is is easy to modify either cooking temperature or time to accommodate different quantities of food. Very easy to clean and there is no residual smell from cooking fish or other foods. Skin on salmon is great, a little olive oil and your favorite spices and you are ready to go. If cooking for more than four, you will probably have to proceed in batches. Although the unit is large, it works well for two.

This air fryer holds up well and makes great food! We have one that we have used for a couple of years that has held up very well and now purchased one for my son too. Great for everything from chicken nuggets to veggies. Easy cleanup too!

Stopped Working, Not A Solid Solution to Fix
I ordered this a little over a year ago, and use this maybe 2-3 times a month. It died in the middle of me using it the other day and unfortunately, it doesnât look like Oster can fix their own appliances. I understand the stipulations around a warranty expiration, but be cognizant of when you are buying this that theres a good chance this product will not last very long. I have taken the steps to make sure itâs plugged in, different outlets, cord damage, etc. and no luck! Someone looking at my appliance and fixing it is the same cost as the machine. Unfortunately, I would not recommend!

En realidad solo es una resistencia y un ventilador en una caja que parece cacerola, muy simple pero hace bien la función, igual que en cualquier maquina los programas automáticos son una sugerencia de tiempo/temperatura, al final siempre acabo poniendo mas tiempo a mas temperatura.Cumple bien, me agrada, se limpia muy fácil, solo le queda un saborcito curioso a la comida, seguro por el tema de la resistencia, veré si se le pasa con el tiempo o si es de esas cosas que “te acostumbras”

La verdad que algunos comentarios me hacÃan dudar de adquirirla, pero afortunadamente la mÃa llegó impecable ya voy para los dos meses con ella y funciona sin problemas. La encontré a un super precio, tanto que se agotaba al poco tiempo de estar disponible. Si estas buscando una freidora de aire, este modelo es ideal, su capacidad, materiales y su fácil manejo es genial. Un plus serÃa que tenga recetario como otras marcas, pero con una simple búsqueda en internet encuentras toda clase de platillos que puedes hacer en la freidora, sin duda la recomiendo mucho.

Es justo lo que uno espera (porque lo ha leÃdo) de una freidora de aire: Es bonita, funcional, fácil de limpiar y deja la comida en el punto exacto para comerla. Por supuesto, hay que aprender los tiempos y en ocasiones abrir la canasta una y otra vez para corroborar que la comida está en el punto exacto pero el resultado es espectacular. Lo que mejor nos ha quedado (hasta ahora) son los molletes y los cortes de carne gruesos. La carne queda jugosa, dorada por fuera y de término medio a tres cuartos por dentro. Totalmente satisfecho

Me encantó, le cabe bastante y funciona a la perfección, tengo 5 meses usándola y no me ja decepcionado. Recomiendo tener despejada ña parte de atrás donde es la salida del aire caliente.
