Just so you know. Beautiful jars, shipped promptly and carefully packed.
The glass is thin, however, the top fits a quart size (probably a pint if it’s a wide mouth) canning jar AND who wouldn’t love a bamboo spoon! And NO I haven’t broken one yet.

Great size and design
The pros: The jar is a great size for getting a good rise and not losing your starter to a counter.It has markings on the jar itself for when last fed with a band with day of week and time markings so you can keep track easily.You can easily slide the band up or down to mark the level when you fed your starter so you know how much rise you got.The lid has a silicone sealing band that has a tiny hole in it to help gas release from the rising process.The silicone ring can be removed for cleaning.Itâs a good height and width to even fit in my smaller refrigerator for when I need a dormant break.It comes with a cloth lid as well that is great for moving from refrigerator to counter or as you can see in one of my pictures, for a second container (which is where I keep my discard) so I can make discard recipes.Side note: I highly recommend discard crumpets.The Con: The only thing I donât like is that the ring around the container is difficult to clean if my starter does get extra happy and spill over the top as you can see has happened to me.

Nice product, one was just sadly broken upon arrival.
Saw these on an Instagram reel, thought they were cool, so I bought them. They are cute and cool. No complaints there. Got refunded in a timely manner because of the broken one. Likely will buy more in the future as gifts for family/friends or if I just need more. Appreciate the customer service/relations; very quick and very easy.

We bought this because we like to eat overnight oats – looks like the perfect container for them but within a month almost every one of them broke from normal handling. Iâve never seen glass this poorly constructed.

Nice, Larger Size, but Very Fragile Feeling
The jar is what the posting says it is. It’s a larger-sized sourdough starter fermentation jar that might be just what someone needs. I have serious concerns, however, about the very thin glass from which it is made. It’s so thin I feel I have to be very careful just washing it around the rim, for fear it will break off. Shoving the lid into it for sealing feels like it might break the edge of the glass, too. And speaking of that lid, it looks nice, being wood, but the plastic gasket/seal is stapled on and doesn’t feel like it will stay attached for very long. And I have no faith it can withstand a drop into the bottom of the sink. I do like the size. It fits on shorter refrigerator shelves than the 24-oz jars do, which is very handy. But because it is wider, it can slip from smaller hands when being moved or washed. I don’t think I would buy this again – at least not for the price I paid – but it will be my main sourdough starter container for now.

Looks great. As advertised. Unfortunately, I took two tries for get some sourdough started – both times it failed. Will try again one day. Fault lies with the operator, not the product. Might be a bit on the small size if you have a very active starter – I didn’t.

This jar is much larger than most with no inside edges to clean. Easy to get your hand in for cleaning. The glass is thin compared to a jar and I worry about it breaking. It reminds me of the beakers we used in science class at school. Lid works well.

This jar is a great idea and pretty good for the price, but the glass is thinner than I expected and feels like it would break pretty easily. If you have marble or quartz countertops, you’ll have to be very careful placing the jar down. But it’s a good size and definitely easier to feed and store your starter in

Bought this as a Christmas present back in August. The product was used just a few times and broke making the soughdough starter garbage. Very unhappy with this product and the wasted money spent. I would have given no stars if I had that option.
