My mat lays flat when unfolded with no curling at any of the edges or corners. The quality of the materials and design give the mat a premium look and feel. I chose the Khaki corduroy design for multiple floor types. I’m glad I didn’t choose the clear polycarbonate mat because the corduroy fabric provides the perfect amount of friction to make my chair’s wheels roll easily without any undesirable drift.On the underside, thousands of tiny rubber beads help provide something for my low-pile carpet to grip. While I’m sitting in my chair on the mat it doesn’t seem to slide. The mat does slide a tiny bit occasionally if I’m standing off of the mat to push my chair under the desk, but the light weight of the mat makes it easy to move back into place. In my opinion that’s an expected compromise for the one-size-fits-all design which allows this mat to be used on carpet, hardwood, and laminate flooring.The tri-fold design is genius. Because the mat takes up very little volume when folded, the cardboard packaging was very minimalistic at H36″ x W17.5″ and only 1″ thick. The included instructions mention that the core of the mat is a PVC material, which reminds me of thick plastic display board. I really like that because it’s a great compromise between rigidity, flexibility, and durability. If any liquids should come into contact with the mat, the worst that I can imagine happening is the corduroy cotton fabric getting stained. Nothing will soak through the mat to stain the flooring/carpet underneath. Also, the edges are finished with a binding of a nice PU-Leather kind of material which creates a small lip that might prevent light spills from running off the mat.I love this mat, and I’m relieved that my chair’s caster wheels won’t be gradually destroying my carpet. It’s also reassuring not having to deal with those little spikes on cheap plastic floor mats when they inevitably break off. As a bonus, the khaki color is a great complement to my furniture and it’s easy to fold the mat back up and move out of the way when I vacuum the carpet. 4.9 out of 5 stars for this one.

– Well made, solid construction- Actual product matches the image- More expensive than expected, but high quality and lays flat- Dark grey corduroy coloring may fade over time where chair rolls- Foldable and easy to move- Caution: chair can slide easily on the matI was looking for a mat to protect new light grey carpet, and spent a long time trying to find the right product. The best looking mats seemed to be for hardwood floors. This one works well over carpet and looks professional. The product image for the curduroy version looks exactly like the real product, so check the image carefully to make sure that it’s what you want.The mat is more than I expected to spend on an item like this, but the quality is good and it lays flat righ out of the packaging. I noticed that areas where the chair rolls appear lighter than the normal dark grey color, but the color restores with vacuuming.The chair slides easier than expected over the mat, but I generally keep the chair in one place. That was causing deep indentations in the new carpet, so I’m glad that I got this. I was initially going to get the clear version, but other customers mentioned cracks. I recommend this mat if you need to protect carpet or any surface.

Cute Design & Works Perfectly on Carpet
This office chair mat is equally as useful as it is adorable. It enhanced my space due to design and functionally. I was worried this type of mat might not work on my high-pile carpet, but itâs perfect! Flypaper, Difficult to Reposition, Creases Show
I bought these on September 26, 2024, and have been using them under my desk chair with rollers. They are installed on a Pergo laminate floor (you must remove the protective film on the bottom of the carpet to get it to “stick”). I am at my desk for about seven hours daily, moving around quite a bit. The rugs are difficult to position and repositionâyou must pick up the carpet and avoid carefully pulling too hard. If you do, the white sticky film detaches from the rug, and getting them to line up again and without wrinkles is challenging. Don’t let the white film stick to itselfâit is like flypaper! I cannot get the creases out even after repositioning several times. The upside is that you can roll on them (on my flooring) relatively quickly, and the carpet does not move.

I bought this mat for use in my home office as I work from home and have a rolling computer chair. I mainly wanted to protect my carpet from the wheels and this product meets my needs. It comes well packaged and folded in thirds. It easily unfolds and once placed on the floor remains flat and provides a sturdy surface to roll the chair on. I was impressed with the stiffness and rolling feel as it’s much easier to move around than it was on the carpet without feeling too slippery. So the materials are just right and this feels like a quality product. I hope to get good long term use from it.
