The best overall bacon gadget, but still not perfect
This gets five stars because it works exactly as it should. However, it still is not perfect.Things I like:- Has a cover with a handle and holes for steam. The holes might be a might big that might lead to a little bit of splatter in your microwave, but I havent noticed anything significant in mine.- Large surface area- very easy to useThings that could be improved:- There is another similar gadget that has a pour spout for the grease, but they misplaced it, using a full side instead of a corner. I wish they would add a little bit of a pour spout on a corner to make it easier to pour out the grease, which you should do after EACH use.- The slats are still a bit shallow and parts of your bacon can end up sitting in grease a bit too much for my liking. (however, I understand this would make it harder to clean)- side walls could be a little higher to decrease chance of spilling when removing from the microwave. While this is by no means HARD to clean, I’ve determined the best and easiest way to clean this (especially if youre like me and you use multiple times in a row). If you have an electrical kettle (which everyone should have btw), boil about 4 cups of water, squirt some dish soap onto the tray, then pour the boiling water directly onto the tray and just let it sit there for a few minutes. Once that’s done, the stuck on bacon remnants remove rather easily, and then you can either toss this thing in the dish washer or wash it yourself with a little elbow grease. While this thing is not perfect, it produces excellent bacon consistently. It reduces the mess DRASTICALLY when compared to cooking in a pan, and I honestly love this thing. Ive seen so many other microwave bacon gadgets try to do such a simple thing in many different ways. This one is by far the best, the simplest, and its only $9!!!!!!!!! Perfect gadget for me, even if its not perfect in itself.

Almost perfect!
Having tried a variety of ways to cook bacon, I was never fully satisfied. Cooking it in a pan leaves it sitting in the grease the hole time while splattering all over the stove. Cooking it in the oven using a broiler pan at least drains the grease a bit more but the edges still curl and the grease splatters inside the oven. My last attempt before this purchase was the air fryer. Like the oven, the edges curl up and the grease splatters to the top of the air fryer. The bacon doesn’t curl up and cooks fairly evenly. As you can see, the strips on the edges do cook faster, so I would recommend putting any thicker slices at the edges. I was worried that the vent holes at the top would allow grease to exit and splatter inside the microwave, but it did not. I like to par cook my bacon and freeze it, so I did 4 minutes for 6 slices. I’m very satisfied with the Microwavable Bacon Grill and would definitely recommend it.

Works well but could be better designed
First off, this does what it is supposed to do: Allow microwave bacon to finish well, and collect the excess grease drippings away from the strips of bacon and yet be poured off to be saved for other cooking. The quibble I have is with the splatter top. The material in the base where the bacon is held is substantial and looks like it will last a long time. The cover is vented and fits well. The handle on the top to remove the cover has several problems, at least for our household. First, the recess where the handle is molded is a little too narrow. Wearing gloves or using a towel to avoid burns, there just isn’t enough clearance to securely grip the raised handle. With some stiff hands in the household, dexterity isn’t always as good as it should be. Even with younger hands, the grip is just so-so.The other design quibble is that while making the cover and fashioning the handle, a slight taper is made from bottom to top, to allow the molding process to release easier, I assume. However with some steam and heat that makes the top a bit more likely to push out of the grip rather than be slightly larger at the top so it would be securely held. They did make the handle slightly textured so there is a bit of a grab when it is held, but just making it straight up and down on the handle or even slightly knob shaped would have gone a long way towards making this a perfect kitchen item.Would I buy it again, yes. It appears solid and does the job well (including pouring out of the accumulated grease). Could it be better? For sure.

Love Bacon. No mess to clean off stove
Love bacon. Hate the splatter? Then this microwave bacon cooker is what you need. For my microwave if I put in 4 slices I add 1 extra minute to the number of slices. So I cook for 5 minutes. I like my bacon more on the crispy side. So you will have to decide by trial how long to cook yours. Instructions say 1 minute per slice. Clean up a breeze. After pan has cooled a bit I empty the grease into a safe container and place both the bottom and top in the top rack of my dishwasher. Couldnât be easier. No mess in microwave either. Hope this helps you love bacon more.

Works Great
I bought this for my son a year ago. He returned it to me recently, unopened. His loss! We have been using it to cook bacon in the microwave and are shocked at how well it works. We put in about 5-6 slices of bacon, close the lid, and just press the bacon sensor cook button on the microwave. After a few minutes the bacon is perfectly cooked-crispy and evenly browned. The bacon grease remains in the bottom grooves, away from the bacon. My husband said this is his new favorite piece of cookware. Buy it and use it-itâs awesome!

Convenient but bacon doesn’t taste the same as pan fried
I loved the idea of this product and decided to give it a tryâit seemed like a super convenient way to cook bacon without the mess. While it does get the job done as advertised, I found that microwave-cooked bacon just doesnât taste as good as pan-fried.Itâs definitely a handy option if you prioritize convenience and cleanup, but for me, the flavor trade-off isnât worth it. Iâd rather deal with the mess and enjoy the rich, crispy taste of pan-fried bacon.

I am delighted with this unit , it is easy to use with very detailed instructions to avoid any problems , l did try the smaller unit first but it was not acceptable so l ordered this one instead , l really enjoy how everything is contained so there is no splatter of grease from the bacon ð¥ which was always an issue when using my broiler ! â- being able to cook the bacon in the microwave is a definite plus , remember though to pay attention to the instructions when you have a high powered microwave as it is important to reduce the power to 80% . also if you have a turntable in your micro turn it off when using this cooker as it does not turn around very well due to the shapeI donât use a dishwasher but l find cleaning the unit is easy regardless ð

I tried for some time to find tray which is usable in a microwave with a firm base, this is the best I found by far. I microwave bacon and sausages and find it to be ideal.
