Works great but
This screen worked out great! I didnât want to spend a lot of money on new screens especially because I have cats and they would just be able to ruin them again. Pros: the directions were clear. Screen appears to be high quality. Resistant to cat scratching. Came with the roller and scissors. Cons: the rubber kept coming out and seems to not be thick enough to hold the thicker screen in its spot. I had to use some glue as I was worried that my cats would push it out and fall out of my second story window. I do wish the rubber was wider and or stiffer so that it would be strong enough to hold the thicker screen. It also would have been nice is the kit came with a razor so that the screen could be cut closer to the edge.For the money though its value is great. Next time I do plan to get it rolled. The creases still have not relaxed and itâs been about 1 week since it was installed.

Love this pet screen!
This pet screen has been an absolute lifesaver for our home! We have adventurous cats who love to climb and scratch at window screens, and this one has held up beautifully. Unlike standard screens that easily rip or tear, this material is incredibly durable and shows no signs of damage despite our cats’ best efforts. Installation was a breezeâmy husband had it up in no time. The quality is fantastic, and it still allows great airflow and visibility while providing the extra strength we needed. If you have pets that put your screens to the test, this is definitely the solution for you! Highly recommend!

*Just wanted to update that their customer service contacted me and apologized for my poor experience with their product. They immediately offered me a refund so I wanted to update my review to reflect that at least they stand behind their product and do the right thing. I had no intention of asking for a refund being that I had already cut the screen and installed it so this was above and beyond that they did this. Will definitely purchase from them again for that reason alone just maybe not this product.I run a dog sitting business out of my home and replacing screen on my porch sliding door has become a fairly regular occurrence because, as you can imagine, I experience a lot more dogs scratching at the screen than a normal household might encounter.I first became familiar with a “pet proof” screen while shopping at Lowe’s. I quickly discovered that due to the extra wide dimensions of my particular screen door that I would have to go online to find the size my door required. I’ve purchased “pet proof” screen a handful of times at this point. It has most definitely been worth every penny because it without a doubt lasts easily ten times longer than a regular screen would.That being said, however, this particular screen is not the “pet proof” screen I’ve become accustomed to. It’s much lighter weight and I can visually tell right off the bat because of my extensive experience with screening material, that it will not last like the other product I found. I honestly don’t even know why this product is called “pet proof” because as the header of my review says there is a much stronger version of this that will last much, MUCH longer.In hindsight I should have known when I saw the price and all the “extras” that were included that it wouldn’t be the best material. I will say though, just the tools included made it well worth the $21 I paid. The scissors in the kit are really good quality and then you still get the screening tool as well as another tool to help you pick the old spline out. I think it’s great that it also includes spline in the kit, however it was far too thin to work for my screen. I know there are various sizes of that though so just make sure when you replace your screen that you use the same diameter spline as was originally on the door or window. Hope this helps.

Quality
I periodically do screen repairs vocationally so I am professionally familiar with these products and their application. This was for a home project though and I found the quality to be exactly what they claimed. It is a thicker material than standard screening material but not too thick to where it was problematic applying it. It came with all the tools you will need to complete the repair except a flat razor blade to trim it after it’s applied. I totally recommend. My only gripe would be that this came folded in a box and not spooled in a roll so there are fold creases in the screening material that haven’t come out yet. I’m hoping in time it will relax (the fold crease) and disappear

Wrinkles REMAIN
The quality of the screen is great however, because it comes folded the wrinkles DO NOT relax as the seller claims. We installed this screen on a south-facing window that gets full sunlight nearly all day in triple-digit temps and the wrinkles STILL remain two weeks later. Also, the included 0.125 retainer spline will fit correctly depending only upon the track on your type of screen. We needed to purchase a 0.14 spline after discovering the provided spline was too small for our screen track, so there was no savings there. The included tools are sufficient but the scissors are WORTHLESS, a box knife is needed to trim the screen instead. If all the stars align this kit will work perfectly for you but I wouldn’t bet on that being the case. Our cat has yet to climb the screen so I can’t speak to it being pet-proof at this point but it is definitely better quality than the builder-grade screen that came with our home.

With 4 big dogs, we needed a screen door that would hold. This is a great product. The dog’s claws do not go through the screen. It was easy to install.

This kit is exactly what I need to replace failing screen that my puppy would snag when he jumps on the screen door. I have found this has held up for a few months in both very hot summer and now a much colder winter. It also provides a nice shade in the warmer months. I will repurchase should I need to. A plus is all the tools that are included. Make install of the screen a breeze and I have kept them on hand should my dog run into it and I need to replace the spline.
