Exactly what I wanted
I looked for a daybed for this space for a while. When reading reviews and specs, I decided on this bed because it looked well made with a 1000lb weight limit. Many of the beds had limits that made me scared of the quality. I wanted something that looked like a couch not a bed and this looks exactly like what I was expecting.It was very easy to put together. I put it together by myself and the wooden slats seem very study which other beds kept saying people had to replace them. Two of my sons came home from college the week I got this set up and one loved it so much, he wants to order one to replace his living room couch.I bought a 8â mattress on bottom as people Recommended and a 10â on top. I think I could have gone 12â on the top but perfectly happy with it.

Well made sturdy bed. Looks nice. I went with 10″ mattress on the top so it sets even with the backboard (no gap) and 8″ on bottom so it slides under without rubbing. Those thicknesses are perfect. Also I had considered Xl length but im glad I didn’t, standard twin length it perfect.

I read all the comments from others before I ordered. They are a mixed bag – some folks said it was very difficult to put together, some said it was simple enough, even for an amateur. My experience is this: the instructions are clear and easy to follow; it doesn’t take super strength, furniture assembly experience, or special tools. But it takes patience and a couple of hours to do it well.I’m pleased with the final product. It looks good, the trundle pulls out smoothly, and it’s solid enough that I expect it to last a long while.I ordered a 10′ mattress and a daybed cover set, and both fit well.

Great for the price!
This daybed came well packaged with clear, to the point instructions. I put it together myself with no help. The fabric is fairly thin, but fine enough for the price. It’s solid, but not rock solid – the back is a bit flimsy and the whole thing needs to be up against a wall. Works great as a guest bed in my office.

Beautiful daybed for guest room!
Just assembled this daybed. Definitely was helpful to have another set of hands. Took about 1.5-2 hours to put together. While we have laid down on the bed to test it out, no one has slept on it all night long at this point so hard to evaluate how sturdy it is or how long it will last but it certainly feels sturdy enough. This is in a guest room so it wonât have adults, heavy or thin, sleeping on it every night. This daybed is longer than most which is fabulous if you will have tall people sleeping on it. Iâm 5â9â and had plenty of leg room to stretch out.As another reviewer commented it does some in two separate big boxes. First UPS delivery, the boxes were separated so we only got one and had to wait for Amazon to reorder the bed and reship. Took about a week. It happens. So far, very happy with this daybed. The fabric is a tweedy light oatmeal which was just what I was looking for.**Forgot to mention. As recommended for this daybed item, 9″ mattresses were recommended. I purchased exactly that and they were the kind you had to leave out laying flat for 48 hours to fully expand. For the top one, probably would have gone with a 10″ to close up the very, very small gap that exists between the bottom of the back piece and the top of the current 9″ mattress. I have pillows against the back so no one can see any gap. For the bottom 9″ mattress on the trundle, we put the mattress on the platform and pushed it under the daybed to fully expand there (no particular reason, just did). While it is not hard to push the trundle in or slide it out now, I can see where maybe an 8″ mattress might have been better so as to leave a little room for a mattress pad, sheets and maybe a thin blanket. I don’t see how I can make up the bed fully and get it to slide back under the platform. Not complaining, just an observation.

Nice day bed with a trundle
It was easy to put together. It took about an hour with the help of my 7 yr old granddaughter. She loves to help and wants to come and spend the night on it.
