LOVE this shoe bench
I have been obsessing over a new shoe bench since my last one broke. This one is very sturdy was easy to put together and simple not over-done or too expensive. Plus I do not have a large entry so it is just the right size and does not take-up too much room. I went to home depot and got a 3/4 inch piece of plywood and cut it down to the size of the top of the bench. Covered it with batting and material and made a cushion for the top of the bench and added some pillows, nice touch when you walk in the door and says “please have a seat and take your shoes off before you walk into my house” 😉

Compact, Quality, Country Charm
After a year of searching for an inexpensive, compact shoe bench, this one finally fit the bill! I needed something utilitarian with a touch of country style, that could hold a modest amount of shoes in our small entryway, but almost everything I looked at was ridiculously expensive and way too large for a small tiled foyer. I surprised my husband with this bench for our entry, and he really loves it (and he doesn’t generally care about any household decorating I do). I decorate in a country style, and I’m happy to say this fits in just fine. Holds my weight great, and I’m on the curvier side. I am able to fit four pairs of my flats and sneakers on one rack, and three pairs of my husband’s clown-sized shoes on the other. If you wanted, you could use the floor underneath as a “third rack” as well. Great buy and would recommend.

Great bench!
The bench was very easy to put together and took me about 10 minutes to do it. I read some of the reviews that stated the bench did not hold up to any weight. We’ve only been using it a few days but it is really sturdy and does not seem like it will break due to anyone sitting on it. The pieces of the bench had a few scratches and the edges had to be lightly sanded because the cuts were rough, but those small things were easy to overlook (the scratches) or fix (the rough edges). We put it in our laundry/mud room and really like the look of it and how strong it feels to sit on it. I would definitely recommend this bench!

Good looking, sturdy bench
This bench looks terrific and is just the right size to use in our laundry room. It was easy to put together, and is surprisingly sturdy, considering the price. There are 2 shelves, and in our household, one shelf holds 4 pairs of ladies size 8 shoes and the other shelf holds 3 pairs of mens size 11 shoes, plus there’s space on the floor beneath the bench for more shoes. We liked it so much, we ordered a second one to use in the garage! Just got that one put together – again, it was well packaged (no damage) and easy to assemble.

Great shoe rack/bench for a mud room, exposed screws are unattractive
We picked this up for use in our walk-out basement mudroom. During the New England winters things get pretty messy with the salt and snow so we go in through the garage and change shoes in our mudroom. This piece is attractive and after tightening up all the bolts, feels very sturdy. The shelves are fairly close together so you will not be fitting anything but shoes and most sneakers in them, though I do have a few pairs of Nike’s that don’t fit. The few cons of this bench, the exposed screws are not very attractive. They don’t look as good as they do in this photo as they do in real life. In terms of building it, plan on spending a solid half hour. The other con is more related to the packaging and shipment, but ours had damage on the top piece in a few places and one of the legs. I’ve come to expect damage from Amazon furniture and in some cases I needed to exchange, but since this was effectively going in our basement, I said heck with it and just turned the major damage to the wall. No one will ever know! Would I purchase again? Yes.

Sturdy bench looks great!
This bench looks great and was easy to assemble. It’s wide and holds lots of little people shoes, which is what I needed it for. I was surprised the bolts are not covered and you can see the silver on the white bench. It doesn’t bother me.

Shelves too shallow
I’ve had this bench for a few years now. It is very sturdy and nice looking. It was easy to assemble. I did it on my own without any problems. The biggest problem I have with it is that there isn’t enough space between shelves for adult shoes. Tennis shoes fit great, but not a pair of ankle boots or heels. And forget about getting my husband’s size 12 shoes to fit on the shelves. Our shoes end up being piled in front of or on the side of the bench, which means they’re in the way in our small entry. I’m looking for something else.

Just what I needed.
Perfect little wooden bench for a hallway. I was concerned it would take up too much room in the entry way but it fits against the wall without hindering traffic in and out. My husband can use it comfortably and said it was easy to put together. Looks great and does the job in our beach condo.

Bench looks nice and is sturdy, but the wood it’s made of is not the greatest quality. There are some pieces that were bowed and the top of the bench had numerous full-thickness cracks. I exchanged it for another one (Amazon customer service was top-notch). The second one was better, but not perfect. All in all, a decent piece of furniture, but don’t expect too much. Should have been cheaper for the quality.

Good material. not too fancy but fit my purpose. Perfect for my entrance, can sit down to wear my shoes, have good spaces for many pairs. I put a small carpet at the bottom so i put shoes underneath the bench too. love it.

Came with a very large crack in it on the top part, which was very disappointing. Going to cover it with a cushion because we couldn’t be bothered trying to return it and waiting for another one. Very nice otherwise.
