Very, very sturdy with an extra deep seating area so that you don’t have to choose between having your butt hanging off the back or your legs feeling like you are sitting too far forward.These are a bit more expensive, but so much nicer than all the other ones I saw on Amazon.Ashley Furniture makes decent furniture and this Signature line is no exception.Tip: They aren’t that difficult to put together, but be sure you only “loosely” screw together the portion of the base piece that attaches to the underside of the seat BEFORE attaching the base’s rungs. Then go back and tighten where the base attaches to the underside of the seat, once you see finished attaching the rings to the base. If you don’t do this, the rungs won’t pull the the rest of the base together enough… yeah, I had to take the first one apart and start over. The second stool was a breeze to put together.

Solid stool
I bought these for a high bar. The stools are not too tall or short. Just right. If they were any higher I’d be concerned about how easily anyone could get up and down from them. I’m tall and still prefer to step up on the crossbraces. This is a solid, comfortable, and heavy piece of furniture. Surprisingly heavy. They don’t take up too much space and fit well under the ledge of the bar. Please note, they require assembly. It isn’t easy to hold the legs together while you screw the screws in place. With the stool upside down, I tied twine/string around the 4 legs to keep them stable while I screwed in the long screws. After all 4 screws and the 4 bolts were tightened, I removed the twine. Follow the directions about flipping it right side up to test it before tightening the bolts. That keeps it from being a wobbly stool.

Arrived quickly. Well packaged. Super quick and easy to assemble. Perfect counter height. Really sturdy stools (not junk)! Better price than our local Ashley Furniture store and other retailers. Very minor complaints – legs aren’t perfectly even with each other (causes a slight wobble); and one set out of two sets of stools has un-stained wood on the underside of cross bars (which no one except our pets will see but seems like someone at the factory was in a hurry staining)! Overall, couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

Beautiful sturdy comfy perfect. You can just go for it. The only mistake I made was I ordered a bar stool instead of counter top sized which I needed for my island platform . But overall value for money
