Made a nice quick bar, screw heads are soft.
These made a stylish quick bar above the microwave. Put some of my top shelf liquors on them along with my laser cut bear lamp, looks pretty hip for being so inexpensive. Quick and easy to install (about 40 minutes to do it right), used the anchors on those spots where there was no stud to fasten into, they worked out just fine. Shelf is good and sturdy, no problems. Each shelf is probably holding about 25 Lbs of booze right now, no sign of anything letting loose. Despite the wood feeling a bit like balsa, it actually is quite strong once assembled. Mine are mounted “up-side-down” with the supports holding the shelves from on top, rather than the bottom. When the screws are fastened in, there is plenty of bite on the threads to hold up everything this way. As long as you don’t use them for monkey bars, they should be fine.. I wanted my shelves mounted this way so the bottles wouldn’t possibly vibrate off the ends of the shelf. Of course, there’s not much to keep them from falling forward, but now the shelves have been up for a few months and nothing bad has happened. Overall, I think these shelves are a pretty good little value. They look minimalist, but yet classic at the same time. One complaint though, the crews were too soft to be screwed into the stud with a screwdriver, so I substituted drywall screws for all the wall mounting screws. The screw heads just strip out too easily. The supplied screws work fine for the wood, though. Other than that, very nice.

They are what you pay for but thin, lightweight wood has a nice finish and the frames are sturdy. Screws are cheap and will strip. I tossed them and used better quality hardware. Only a mention; not really a problem.

Great shelves, flimsy screws
Shelves installed look great. They definitely require 2 people to put together just because of the angle and how you can’t lay them flat to screw in the shelf supports. If not for the screws I’d be giving it 5 stars, but I have to add a warning here and deduct 2 stars for the screws used to attach the shelf bracket to the shelves. The instructions say to just use a drill to install the screws. The screws supplied are super soft metal and strip really easily. If they’d included spares, I’d only deduct 1 star, but there are no spares so I had to find out the hard way that following the directions ruins a screw with no replacements to try again :(Once I found that out, easy solution. Drill a pilot hole with a smaller drill bit to make it easier for the screw to bite in. Once I did that, every other bracket was installed perfectly. I just wish it included spares OR the instructions recommended predrilling, because I have 2 stripped screws I had to cover with sharpie since I can’t get ’em in all the way, and the stripping took off the black matte paint and made the mistake pretty obvious.Make sure you predrill and they’re awesome shelves for the price! I’ll upload finished pics later, but I really love the shelves.

Nice, floating shelves.
I have an alcove in my front foyer. My husband helped me put up three shelves and staggered the position of each shelf. It looks beautiful in the inset (alcove). I filled the shelves with beautiful religious statues and intertwined the shelves with pictures on the wall.

Look ok but very soft wood
Wood began to crack even while gently screwing on brackets. Very soft wood. Wouldnât suggest for a shelf you use every day. Will work ok for displaying delicate trinkets, so ok for my purposes.

They’re really good for the price! There was a minor ding on one of the wood pieces though, don’t expect an amazing finish on them. If you’d like you could finish the wood off with a sealer for longevity.Install was easy, i dont know how well the screws would do against studs though, they strip extremely easy so be careful when using a drill, I honestly recommend hand screwing them in for most of the screws.I attached the metal pieces onto the shelves before mounting to wall, which I think is easier. You don’t HAVE to actually attach it to the wall with all 6 screws, one or two on each side of the shelf is plenty if you do it correctly.

We had a glass shelf up on the wall to hold pictures. It was a problem right from the get go. I decided to try this set of three shelves in wood. They are very light which for me is very good. They won’t pull out of the wall like the glass one liked doing. The metal braces are attractive and not heavy in appearance. I’m very pleased with them!

These wood shelf boards are very light and not durable, so handle carefully. I had one board that had a few wood pieces splintered off. My suggestion is, to sealant or varnish all the boards. The stain is a nice colour, however, they are untreated wood. I used a wood oil to help preserve them. With that being said, they are easy to install and have attractive black brackets.
