Benefits & Use Cases
This electric throw is designed for anyone who values consistent warmth, ease of use, and durability in their daily relaxation routine. The plush flannel exterior feels gentle against the skin, making it perfect for sensitive individuals or those seeking extra softness. Its compact size makes it especially suitable for use on sofas, beds, or recliners, delivering targeted warmth exactly where you need it—whether you’re lounging on the couch after a long day or curling up in bed.
The intuitive push-button controller lets users quickly adjust heat settings with a simple press, allowing for effortless temperature changes without fumbling in the dark. This feature is particularly helpful for seniors, people with limited mobility, or anyone who prefers minimal interface complexity. Meanwhile, the automatic shut-off function adds an important layer of safety, preventing overheating if the user falls asleep with the blanket on—ideal for those who nap or drift off while reading.
Customers appreciate the neutral gray tone, noting how well it blends into various interior styles, from contemporary minimalist spaces to classic, cozy homes. The throw enhances not only comfort but also aesthetic cohesion in any room. Additionally, the machine-washable design ensures hygiene and convenience: just detach the controller, toss the blanket in the washer, and air or machine dry as needed. Over time, the flannel maintains its softness, so the throw remains inviting wash after wash.
While most users find the throw effective for moderate indoor cooling needs, experiences may vary based on individual preferences for heat intensity and sizing. Some customers have shared differing opinions on warmth output, auto shut-off timing, and overall build quality, reflecting the subjective nature of comfort. However, the combination of Sunbeam’s longstanding reputation, ETL certification, and thoughtful design features makes this throw a dependable choice for everyday warmth and relaxation.
Important Notes
To ensure optimal performance and safety, always follow care instructions by removing the controller before washing or drying. Avoid folding or creasing the throw while in use or during storage, as this can damage internal wiring and compromise heating efficiency. This product is intended strictly for indoor use and should not be covered with heavy blankets, comforters, or pillows to prevent overheating and maintain safe operation. As with all electric blankets and throws, use responsibly and never leave unattended if not properly managed.

Saved my 96-year-old Gran
My grandmother had a favorite Sunbeam electric throw that she had used EVERYday all winter long on HIGH! Needless to say it finally wore out after multiple washings.I was worried she wouldn’t like a new blanket, but oh my goodness, she loves it! She comments on how soft and beautiful it is! She shows it to all the hospice nurses. It is definitely her comfort and continued warmth. Thank you!

VERY SOFT AND WARM
I BOUGHT THIS HEATED BLANKET LAST YEAR FOR MY SELF WHEN I HAD KNEE SURGERY AND IT IS GREAT FOR THE MORNINGS THAT ARE BELOW FREEZING OUT SIDE, NOW MY WIFE WANTED ONE SO I GOT IT FOR HER VALENTINES DAY. A LITTLE EARLY BUT SHE LOVES IT AND HASN’T EVEN TURNED ON THE ELECTRIC PART YET. VERY NICE ADD SOFT

Warm and works well, but a few disappointments
The blanket is soft and warm, heats up quickly, and the heat settings seem to work well. It has four levels of heat, I have only had it up to level 2 and I have been comfy on the couch with it watching TV, which is what I wanted it for. I like the color and the sherpa lining is soft and comfy. The blanket is warm even with the heat off. However, there are a few things I am disappointed with. The area of heat is not very large and doesn’t go all the way to the edges of the blanket. You can see in the pictures where the stitching ends is where the heating element ends, leaving about 7-8 inches on either side where there is no heat. The cord placement is in an inconvenient spot down at the bottom left corner, so if you don’t have an outlet to plug it in on that side the cord gets in the way. Also, there’s a massive tag with the washing instructions sewn right on to the front of the blanket, which is a bit ugly. I may end up just cutting it off and saving it for when it needs washing.Overall the blanket is nice and it works for what I needed it for, but I dropped a star due to the issues pointed out above.

Good product
This product has kept me warm throught the winter and easy to use. Color is very vibrant and the size is decent. Also when washing you must lay it to dry. Do not put it in the dryer.

Quit working after 3 months
Initially I loved this throw. It worked perfectly and was warm and cozy. Performed perfectly. Size was great, it looked nice and wasnât that gross cheap fleece material. That lasted about 3 months.Fabric Quality/durability:The Sherpa side of it over a couple weeks started to pill and look dirty. I used this blanket on my lap at work in a chilly office, so it did not see any rough kind of use at all. No kids, no pets on it. It barely moved besides when I would get up from my desk I would move it aside and it would stay on the side of my chair. The Sherpa I believe is just a polyester thatâs made in a way that it almost behaves like a soft Velcro, if that makes sense. It grabs whatever fabric you have on with friction, and it stores it. I was wearing red cotton pants one day and noticed red fibers like almost intertwined in the sherpa. Annoying, and a fabric shaver really wouldnât help. I just picked at it and was like oh well. Then I decided to take it home and wash it. I followed the instructions, delicate, and it didnât improve anything. It just looked the same. Pilled and intertwined with other fabrics. The fluffy Sherpa eventually turns into smooshed, pilled dirtly looking Sherpa. At this point I was just glad it was at my office and not on my couch looking like that.I will note though that the green pretty velvet side stayed super vibrant, and didnât dull or pill. It still looks very nice even now.I continued to use this from when I bought it at the beginning of Dec, and washed it Iâd say end of January? Once. Then about March it just wasnât has hot as it used to. I thought maybe it just wasnât connected all the way or something, but no. Heating element or whatever was going out.Just barely gets hot. I kept using it, and it was just feeble warmth.Spring came and I brought it home to wash again and I put it in a closet to forget about it until now. Itâs chilly again so I brought it out.Investigated it more closely. Did a cord fray or get stepped on? No. Cords look brand new. Blanket just is shot.Iâm buying another $40-$50 bs blanket right now, and thought Iâd leave a review for others to stay away from this one.Disappointing and Shoddy.I refuse to put this in a box, stand in line at ups, and pay return shipping for $15-$20 to use my âwarrantyâ that probably doesnât mean anything and get a ârefundâ Iâd rather be out the $40 and live and learn.Bought a sunbeam one bc I thought they were supposed to be good.Read all the reviews everyone, not just the ppl who bought it plugged it in and used it a week and wrote a review that itâs the best thing ever. Donât buy this.

Cozy and easy to use
Very soft and easy to use. Perfect for putting over your lap to cozy up on the couch. It is not very thick or plush, but both sides are very soft. Throw size is not large enough to use as an extra blanket on a bed, not even for just one side. The Sable color is a really pretty jewel tone green/blue. Pictures included are on a king size bed.

The Quality of Champagne Lattice Is NOT the Same!
I bought this heated throw in Admiral Blue and it is wonderful! So I bought another one in Champagne Lattice and they are night and day in quality. The best I can explain it is the Admiral Blue is of Nordstrom quality, and the Champagne Lattice is of Dollar Tree quality. The Champagne Lattice is very thin fabric, and the wires (heating elements?) are so obvious, they stick up and out and you can’t really fold it because of them – they’re so obvious and out of place (or something?) that I’m afraid to turn the heat on.

This blanket has 4 heat settings, but a 2 or 3 is already nice and toasty. Very useful in frigid nights!

I need a heated blanket but my past history is not great. However, I usually get about 3 to 6 months out of a sunbeam blanket. I use them every day so it can get expensive. I need a “heated blankst of the month club”. Treat it carefully!
