Poor Quality, Difficult Assembly
As soon as I started to unpack the box the numerous defects in various surfaces were obvious. It was well packed and the box was in perfect condition which makes me believe that the damage and defects came strait from the factory. Scratches through the finish, lack of stain on some parts and poor workmanship were evident everywhere.I agreed with my wife to not return it because it was for a casual room and would be filled with books and stuff that would hide some of the defects. Also, furniture is very hard to repack and ship for returns. Then came the assembly! Poor instructions are pretty much expected with this type of furniture but I think these guys also expect you to be a wood worker. You have to install lots of metal brackets with tiny screws and there are no holes pre-drilled to help you figure out where to put them and to make it easier to get them in.I urge you to keep looking and donât buy this one.

Functional
This isnât the prettiest, most high quality shelf in the world, but it functions for my needs and fits in the space where I needed it so I give it 4 stars. Putting the shelf together was a pain but not overly complicated. It was a lot quicker when I started using my small electric drill, doing this all by hand wouldâve taken way longer and been a lot harder for me. The support beam intended for the front top of the shelf just didnât fit at all so I left it off completely and the shelf seems to be fine without it. The wood and paint itself isnât great but Iâm using the shelf for function not fashion so itâs fine. Iâm a little annoyed that it dropped in price the day I received my shipment and is now $10 less than what I paid, but it is what it is. I think the shelfâs value is closer to the $50-60 range, not the $80 I paid. All in all it looks ok and is working for what I need.

Update,Tangkula responded to my email rightaway. They are sending a replacement. A side from the pieces being damaged these are nice sturdy bookcases at a great price. After I receive my replacement, I plan to order another one.I ordered two bookshelves and the left side on one was broken and the top bar was cracked on one and the left side on the second bookcase was chipped in two places. They seemed very well packed in the box so I don’t think these items were damaged in shipping.

Terrible Instructions
I guess it basically comes down to: “you get what you pay for.” The unit was quite cheap but I had hoped for a bit better build quality. Easily the worst instructions for assembling I’ve ever come across, I have no issue with Ikea or Lego or anything else I’ve ever built from instructions but the included instructions for this piece are awful. I get that they want to reduce costs as much as possible and chose to limit the instructions but I don’t think they save enough by condensing the instructions as much as they did. The unit isn’t very well machined, some of the predrilled holes don’t line up properly and some aren’t predrilled at all so if you don’t have a power tool to place them you’ll probably going to have a bad day when you choose to assemble it.Other than those major issues, it’s held up fairly well. It looks pretty good as long as you don’t give it a really close inspection and it’s been holding quite a bit since I’ve put it together. All and all I’d say it’s fairly average considering cost and quality, maybe a little under if anything.

right size and style loved it
i love the size style and sturdiness of this table i used it in my hall entry way at the top of the steps fits perfectly. Had a minor issue with missing screws but may have been lost in transit the pouch looked cut but I emailed the issue and it was resolved quickly with extra screws ( a plus) i would purchase again happy customer

Cute table, very poor craftsmanship
Cute table but incredibly poor construction. One of the holes for the bolts was missing the piece for the bolt to screw into (pictured, also pictured one of the other holes to show what it should have looked like), so I had to add some liquid nails around it and hope for the best. Several of the pieces were cracked or chipped from where they added the pieces the bolts screw into, and on the back side that piece started pulling out of the wood as I tightened down the bolt (both issues pictured). And of course I tried to tighten all bolts as much as I could since I have one that is just floating in the hole with some liquid nails. Finally, the bolts were too long for the top and one pushed right through it as I was tightening it down.It is a cute table and is otherwise sturdy and easy to assemble. But the poor craftsmanship really would have been a deal breaker if I had known ahead of time, ESPECIALLY given how much I paid for it.

I am happy with the final assembled product but the instructions were virtually non-existent. I have quite a bit of experience assembling furniture, and this bookcase should have taken about 15 minutes to put together but took me over and hour. The pieces were not clearly labelled and as mentioned the instructions were of no help. This piece will be difficult to assemble for someone who does not have much practice assembling furniture.

When you go to put this together get your drill. The allan key that comes with it does nothing. Why because the holes are not pre drilled deep enough. I had to pre drill some holes which with the cheap screws was not easy. Some screws just spun in the holes. The wooden rods that are to help support the book case do not fit securely in the pre drilled hole. The best thing is the screws that are meant to secure the top of the book case to the case its self are to long so go right through the top. Thankfully I only did that once. So the top is on but not. So it’s in the garage. I would not use it for books. Maybe a plant stand or put things on it that are light just in case it falls over or collapse. Also some of the wood pieces were warped. So much fun.

It looks like an amateur work with wood from a big box store… Pieces are bent, there holes from knots, color is uneven, low quality sanding, the surface is rough not polished enough.This is HORRIBLE.
