Its tri-ply construction ensures even heat distribution, while the durable stainless steel exterior offers long-lasting performance. Ideal for both everyday cooking and gourmet meal preparation, this pan delivers professional results with reliable heat control and superior responsiveness.
Key Features
- Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Construction: The pan features two layers of premium stainless steel bonded around a solid aluminum core, ensuring rapid and uniform heat transfer from edge to edge. This design eliminates hot spots and supports consistent browning, searing, and deglazing—perfect for achieving restaurant-quality results at home.
- Solid Aluminum Core: A full aluminum center core provides excellent thermal conductivity, allowing the pan to heat up quickly and maintain steady temperatures during cooking. This makes it especially effective for techniques like searing proteins or caramelizing vegetables without burning or uneven cooking.
- Custom Designed by FlavCity: Developed in partnership with Bobby Parrish, a renowned chef and FlavCity brand ambassador, the pan incorporates expert insights into shape, weight, and usability. The design prioritizes functionality for real-world cooking scenarios, including flipping, stirring, and tossing large batches of food.
- Durable Stainless Steel Exterior: The outer layer of stainless steel resists corrosion, staining, and scratching, maintaining its polished appearance over time. It’s also compatible with induction cooktops, making it versatile across different kitchen setups.
- Ergonomic Design: While not explicitly detailed in specifications, pans in this category typically feature riveted or ergonomic handles for comfort and safety during extended use, supporting safe handling when transferring from stove to table or oven.

Benefits & Use Cases
This fry pan is engineered for high-heat cooking methods that require precise temperature control and even heating. Whether you’re searing steaks, stir-frying vegetables, or creating pan sauces with reduced liquids, the consistent heat distribution ensures optimal flavor development and browning. The generous 12-inch surface area accommodates multiple ingredients at once, ideal for family meals or entertaining guests. Its versatility makes it suitable for everything from quick weeknight dinners to elaborate weekend dishes. Thanks to its compatibility with all cooktop types, including induction, it fits seamlessly into diverse kitchen environments.
Cooking Performance
The tri-ply construction of the Tramontina FlavCity fry pan plays a crucial role in its cooking performance. The aluminum core rapidly conducts heat from the burner to the entire cooking surface, eliminating cold zones and promoting uniform cooking across the pan. This is particularly beneficial when working with temperature-sensitive foods like eggs or delicate fish, where inconsistent heat can lead to sticking or uneven doneness. The stainless steel layers on both sides enhance durability and provide a non-reactive cooking surface, making this pan suitable for acidic ingredients like tomatoes or vinegar-based reductions without risk of metallic flavors leaching into your food.
Bobby Parrish’s expertise as a professional chef shines through in the pan’s thoughtful design elements. The balanced weight and well-placed handle offer a secure grip, reducing wrist strain during prolonged cooking sessions. The flared rim allows for easy pouring of liquids or batters without spills, while the flat base ensures stable contact with any stovetop surface. These practical details make daily cooking more efficient and enjoyable, whether you’re preparing a simple omelet or a complex stir-fry for six.
Durability & Longevity
Crafted with high-grade materials, this fry pan is built to withstand years of regular use. The stainless steel exterior not only resists rust and tarnish but also maintains its mirror-like shine after repeated washes. Unlike some non-stick coatings that degrade over time, the stainless steel surface stands up well to metal utensils—though using wooden, silicone, or nylon tools will help preserve the finish longer. To maximize its lifespan, always allow the pan to cool completely before washing, avoid sudden temperature changes (such as placing a hot pan directly under cold water), and store it with a trivet or cloth between pans to prevent scratches.
The tri-ply bonding process ensures there’s no delamination between layers, so you won’t need to worry about the aluminum core separating from the steel over time. This structural integrity contributes to consistent performance year after year, making it a worthwhile investment for serious home chefs who value reliability in their cookware.
Maintenance & Care
To keep your Tramontina FlavCity fry pan looking and performing at its best, hand washing is strongly recommended. Use warm soapy water and a soft sponge or cloth to remove food residues. For stubborn stuck-on bits, soak the pan in warm water mixed with baking soda before gently scrubbing. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners that could dull the stainless steel or damage the bonding layers. After cleaning, dry thoroughly with a towel or let air-dry to prevent water spots.
While the pan is oven-safe up to certain temperatures (typically around 500°F or 260°C, though always verify based on current product guidelines), avoid exposing it to open flames or broiler heat, which can warp the base. Do not stack heavy pots directly on top of it to avoid denting the rim. With proper care, this fry pan will remain a trusted tool in your kitchen arsenal, delivering flawless sear marks and even browning every time.

Good stainless steel pans. They are not supposed to be non stick
These don’t have non stick coating which is good. They are just regular stainless steel pans. They work the same if you preheat the pan and then oil it. Eggs glide

not non-stick
I got this pan to cook eggs and even with butter coating the entire bottom the eggs stuck to every inch of the pan. I ended up with burnt eggs and scrubbing it took 20 minutes. Could not be less impressed.

Food sticks
Very difficult to clean, unfortunately food sticks easily to pan.

Great skillet for a reasonable price.
I would highly recommend buying a Tramontine tri-ply clad, then other expensive brands.
