Twin Over Full Bunk Bed, Metal Low Profile Bunkbeds with
$194.99
Product Overview
This Twin Over Full Metal Bunk Bed is engineered to meet the needs of modern families and space-conscious households without sacrificing safety, comfort, or style. The upper bunk is designed for a standard twin-sized mattress (38” x 75”), while the lower bunk supports a full-sized mattress (54” x 75”), offering a flexible sleeping solution ideal for siblings, guests, or multi-generational living. Constructed from high-quality metal with an anti-rust powder coating, the frame resists corrosion, dents, and wear over time, ensuring long-lasting performance even in busy household environments. The low-profile design keeps the overall height of the bed closer to the floor, making it easier for users to climb in and out safely and reducing the risk of injury from falls. This thoughtful height consideration is especially beneficial for younger children or those transitioning from single beds. The inclusion of full-length guardrails on the upper bunk provides continuous side protection, minimizing the chance of accidental roll-offs during sleep—a critical feature for peace of mind. With no box spring required, this bunk bed streamlines setup, reduces clutter, and eliminates the need for additional furniture purchases.
Key Features
- Sturdy and Durable Construction: Built using premium-grade metal and finished with a scratch- and rust-resistant powder coating, this bunk bed withstands daily use and environmental changes, maintaining its structural integrity and appearance over years.
- Reinforced Support Structure: Equipped with 22 reinforced slats distributed across both levels, the bed offers stable, even support for mattresses without requiring supplemental support boards or center rails, ensuring consistent comfort and longevity.
- Full-Length Guardrail System: A continuous, secure rail runs along the entire side of the upper bunk, providing active protection against rolling off the bed—especially important for restless sleepers or younger children.
- Integrated Safety Ladder: The built-in ladder is securely attached and positioned for safe, controlled access to the top bunk, with rungs designed for secure footing and reduced slip hazards.
- Space-Saving Vertical Design: By stacking two beds vertically, this configuration frees up valuable floor space, allowing rooms to accommodate desks, dressers, or play areas that would otherwise be crowded in traditional single-bed setups.
- No Box Spring Needed: The slatted base system works seamlessly with standard mattresses, eliminating the need for a separate box spring and simplifying both assembly and future replacements.
- Sleek Black Finish: A timeless black color complements a wide range of interior styles—from contemporary to industrial—and maintains its finish without fading or chipping under normal conditions.

Benefits & Use Cases
This bunk bed is particularly well-suited for households with children sharing a room, where space efficiency and shared accommodations are priorities. The twin-over-full layout offers flexibility: it can comfortably accommodate a child and a toddler, two older siblings who prefer different mattress sizes, or even serve as a guest bed with the lower level used by adults and the upper level reserved for occasional visitors. Its low profile makes it far more accessible than traditional high-rise bunk beds, reducing strain on knees and joints when entering or exiting, and lowering the impact force if someone does fall. This feature is especially valuable as children grow and their mobility or confidence changes. Ideal for apartments, studio lofts, or smaller homes, the vertical design maximizes usable square footage, turning what might be wasted space into functional room for study, storage, or recreation. The durable metal construction also ensures the bed remains sturdy as children grow heavier, adapting to evolving household needs over time.
Important Notes
- For optimal stability and safety, always use mattresses within the recommended thickness range of 4” to 6”. Thinner or thicker mattresses may compromise fit, support, or guardrail effectiveness.
- Assembly typically requires two people due to the bed’s weight and complexity; carefully follow all included instructions and hardware diagrams to ensure correct installation.
- While no box spring is required, the frame is compatible with standard twin and full-size box springs if desired—though they are not necessary given the built-in slat support system.
- Due to the elevated position of the upper bunk, supervision is advised for children under six years old; the guardrail significantly reduces but does not eliminate fall risks entirely.
- Periodically check all bolts, screws, and connections during initial use and after travel or moving, as vibrations can loosen over time.

Secure until the poles were inserted
Everything was pretty good as far as building it until the very last step, where you have to insert the little poles that hold the mattressesâ¦.about half the poles were too short so theyâre barely hanging on, I alternated the little grey squares you use to secure the poles. Fortunately not all of them were, so we feel that it will be safe ENOUGH for a 7 year old to be on the top. The bottom is so close to the ground it almost makes no difference. I kinda like how low to the ground it is. Itâs definitely meant for kids. The ladder is hard on the feet for an adult, theyâre really skinny bars.
