So far so good!
Overall a good product but I did have a few obstacles getting there.Before ordering, know that the package is 140lbs. I didn’t read that when I ordered and had to figure out a way to get it 2 floors up to my apartment by myself with no elevator.Despite the direction’s recommending that two people put this together, I braved assembly all by myself. 53+ individual parts, a mini breakdown, and 4 1/2 hours later I successfully put it together. The instructions are fairly clear, there’s just a LOT of them.In the end, I do really like the bed frame. The look is what I expected, the size is a good fit for my room, the lights work great and there’s even an app to go along with it! I’ve started storing things under it already and it’s fairly easy to lift the frame and put it down and there’s a decent amount of space down there. Overall I’d say it was worth the purchase.

Solid bed frame with great storage
The bed frame looks great in person and feels solid once assembled. The built-in drawers are surprisingly useful, and everything fit together without any issues.

When you are searching for the perfect bedframe, you may see the reviews about the time it takes to assemble this one and think, “Oh it can’t be that bad, I can assemble it more quickly.” And as you go, you’ll get all the headboard pieces assembled quite quick, but that will lead you into a false sense of security. Don’t trust it. Because once it comes time to assemble the hydraulic lift system you are going to begin to doubt whether or not you even need a bed frame and contemplate whether or not to just have your mattress set on the floor for the rest of your life.But in all seriousness, the assembly of this frame is a beast. With the hydraulic lift system you need to attach some hex nuts to the end of some bolts, but there are two issues. The first issue is that the hex nuts had some sort of plastic coating on the threading inside of them which made them nearly impossible to actually screw on, especially with the flimsy little wrench they give you. The only way I could do it was to just use the wrench to keep the bolt in place, then use a ratcheting allen wrench screw driver to turn the bolt. The second issue is that some of the bolts were inserted so close to one of the lifting arms that it was hard to even get the nut onto the bolt, and then because of how difficult it was to get the nuts screwed on it started stripping the little wrench. But I couldn’t use a larger wrench due to how close to the lifting arm the bolt is when inserted.Another issue came about because you need to use the same hex nuts to secure the hydraulic lifting arm itself, but you can only tighten the nuts onto a static bolt. But at this point my wrench was stripped and the nuts were so difficult to tighten that I couldn’t even get it on all the way.The final issue is that the LED light system was faulty. The remote didn’t come with a battery but somehow I happened to just have a proper battery on hand, but most people won’t. Even so, the remote didn’t work. I tried inserting the battery in different ways, and nothing. There was no way to change the color/pattern/brightness/etc., and the lights flickered or changed randomly any time the wires shifted even slightly.Oh, and there were multiple screw holes covered by cloth. I had to use a box cutter to cut open a few different spots so I could get to the screw holes. There was also one screw hole I couldn’t actually use because, during manufacturing I guess, a nail had been pounded in and it ended up in the screw hole. And I couldn’t pull it out the other side because it was covered with cloth.I did finally manage to get this thing assembled after about 5 hours of misery. And to it’s credit, the bed frame looks decent. But between the assembly, 56 separate parts, various manufacturer errors, and the faulty LED system, I wish I had chosen a different bed frame.Returning it is also impossible because they require you to pack it all back up yourself which is basically be impossible. So don’t be fooled by the ‘free return’ because you will not be able to package this 140 pound bedframe and ship it yourself.EDIT/UPDATE: to add insult to injury, after only two weeks, this bedframe has started creaking like mad. Any time I shift near to the edges of the bed on both sides, the frame creaks and groans and I am not a very heavy person at 120 pounds. I can’t seem to figure out where the creaking is coming from. I’ve tried tightening bolts and screws but the creaking persists, and it’s on both sides. One of the only positive thoughts I had about this frame was how solid and sturdy it was when shifting, but now the creaking has ruined that. Such a waste of money…2nd Update: I went to put on the dust cover for under the bed, which is supposed to keep dust and other stuff like pet hair away from the items you store under the bed. The thing is supposed to attach to velcro strips on the underside of the edges of the bed frame. Come to find out, one whole section was missing the velcro, so I couldn’t actually attach the dust cover. So the dust cover is mostly useless.
