A Saute Pan scores high points for versatility. They have a larger surface area so you can fit lots of ingredients, stir them or toss them around, and have them cook evenly. Meanwhile, their straight sides are not too short or too tall, keeping oils from splattering and foods from flying out of the pan, so there’s less to clean after. As part of our D3 Collection, this Saute pan features a bonded tri-ply construction made with a responsive aluminum core pressed together with 2 layers of durable, stainless steel all the way around the surface, for fast and even heat. At a whooping 6 quarts, it’s large enough to cook for a small gathering or for the family and have enough for leftovers. To keep your All-Clad looking brand new, we recommend washing your cookware with a soap and sponge instead of the dishwasher. Like all our bonded cookware, it’s handmade in the USA at our Canonsburg, PA factory with ultra-durable materials that’ll last a lifetime and never go out of style. A flat, stainless-steel lid is included to lock in moisture. Handles & handle loops are made in China.
Versatile 6 quart Stockpot, featuring All-Clad’s D3 tri-ply construction, and a large surface area for searing, with straight sides to hold in liquid and prevent splattering and lid to lock in moisture.
Fast and Even Heat – D3 tri-ply is fully bonded to the rim for professional performance & durability. The high quality 18/10 stainless steel surface sears to perfection and is ideal to deglaze for pan sauces

High quality, heavy but manageable using both handles
I’m so glad I bought this. I needed a larger vessel so I could see what I’m cooking. This is nice and low, heats quickly and evenly, it’s easy to clean. I love the quality.

My favorite pan
I have been using a previous model of this pan for almost 20 years. I gave my son my old one and purchased this as a replacement. It’s exactly the same, it’s my favorite pan in my arsenal. It’s huge, and deep, you can do almost anything with it. Very heavy duty, excellent heat distribution, nice handle. Absolutely bullet proof. You will never have to replace it. I subjected my old pan to every extreme, from blazing hot to directly into cold water. No problem. Don’t look at the price, just buy it. And know that you will have it forever.

My favorite pan broke and I ordered (serially) several replacements
Thrilled, thrilled, thrilled! My favorite pan broke and I ordered (serially) several replacements. This one finally did the trick. Yes, it is heavy. Yes, it is expensive. However, if you are cooking for more than 4 people this is a must have. for 2 reasons: 1) It is incredibly conductive–I’ve accidentally melted some cooking utensils because my previous pan was not nearly as good at heating the sides and I had developed bad habits of resting the spoon on the side. The way every part of this pan is cooking your food will impress you. I had to practice a little at first and adjust to how quickly it heats and how hot it gets, but now that I know what to expect I love it. 2) Really large surface area. I don’t know how other people live without a 14 inch pan! If you want to make a one pan meal, you need this! It has the real estate to get the job done. This is an incredible workhorse of a pan and I use it almost every day. Two tips: a) You will probably need to turn your heat down from what you are accustomed to and b) it cleans up beautifully with bon ami cleanser.

BEST PAN I EVER EVER COOKED WITH
COST/VALUEThis pan is amazing! My husband bought it for me and I had no idea how much it cost… otherwise I might have told him not to buy it. BUT I AM SO GLAD HE DID! I usually get everything cheap because I don’t believe in miracle products that cost a bit more. But this pan is soooooo much better than anything I ever cooked with (and I cook a lot). WORTH IT!READ MANUAL I suggest reading through the short “manual” for it before using the first time. It really helps to know about what you should and shouldn’t do when cooking/cleaning. I was able to sauté/brown some chicken thighs in some butter and oil at med/low heat (after pre-heating of course). It conducts and distributes heat SO WELL that you should never really have to cook with higher than medium heat. We bought the pan because I was using high heat to sauté some meat in a non-stick Teflon pan and our house smelled like a really unhealthy chemical smell. My husband was like, you need to cook with something else.EASY TO CLEANI didn’t think that anything but Teflon would be easy to clean or keep things from sticking. But this pan is the EASIEST pan I have ever had to clean. So easy! TOO EASY! I used it twice within the first couple days of having it. I sound like a sales person or something, but it really is such a wonderful pan.SIZE/HEATWhen I first pulled the pan from the box, I thought for sure it would not fit on my glass cooktop. It looked huge. But it fit perfect on the largest cooking ring. I am so used to pans heating more in the middle than the edges, but I could sauté anywhere on the pan and the pieces in the middle cook at the same rate as those at the edges so I don’t need to shift things around. I am about to have our 5th child, and I can easily make food for the whole family in this pan as they get older (YAY). Oh, and I am used to pans losing heat right away when I take them off the burner, but this one retains heat very well when you stick the lid on. I had dinner ready 5-10 minutes before everyone was ready to sit. I stuck the lid on the pan, and put it on some heat pads on the table. When everyone finally sat to eat, I lifted the lid and not just warm⦠HOT! And it stayed pretty warm throughout the meal as we dished out second helpings.FINAL THOUGHTSIf you could invest in one pan to ever sauté in, this is it! Save up for it if you need to. Having something this easy and healthy to cook in is so worth it!

Works Well
This pan is great, though a lot of elbow grease is required to clean it thoroughly.

All clad pan
My hubby LOVES this pan. Easy to clean and lots of space to cook multiple things. Expensive but worth it.

I Love This Pan
I never use anything higher than medium heat with this pan. When i want to cook at a higher temp, I set the heat a shade under medium because anything more can cause the oil to exceed the smoke point. If I get smoky oil, I dump it out, clean the pan, and start over. The 6-quart pan is the perfect size for cooking a head of carmelized cabbage. What I love about stainless steel pans is using a wooden spoon and warm water to extract the brown bits that stick at the bottom of the pan. The pan has been easy to clean for me.

I don’t care for non-stick coating. I don’t trust them. So, I ordered this all-clad. I was delighted to find that it cleans up very easily. Even on fried on stuff. It seems like they make the interior very smooth so things clean off easily. At worst you just have to soak it in water for a little while, then it cleans off nicely.

The usual well built All-Clad quality, but it is BIG, as in VERY wide. If you have a big family, or preparing large quantities of food, this will handle those big jobs with ease, but from a personal point of view, I found it a bit too big for my needs. Keep in mind, there are some downsides with such a wide pan, the wide cooking surface means liquid evaporates more quickly than in a narrower pan, meaning you have to watch your water levels more closely and probably top up the liquid more regularly to avoid the food drying out and possibly burning as a result. The pan is fully clad, so no hot spots on the edges, as with pans that are only clad on the bottom, and the helper handle is welcome, which you’ll probably be using if the pan is full of food. I can’t imagine trying to lift this with only one hand if it’s full of food. I’ll still give it five stars though.
