So far, perfect adhesion
I’ve used these repair tabs to fix about 10 vertical blinds. It has been a couple weeks, and so far all repairs are intact. Some of our blinds have a light texture on one side, but this doesn’t seem to have been a problem. I did, however, very thoroughly clean both sides with rubbing alcohol (applied from my own bottle with a rag), wait until it was dry, and then removed air bubbles and promoted adhesion by applying pressure to both adhesive tabs. I did this by pushing hard and rubbing the flat end of an AA battery all over the repair tabs (that’s just what was within reach when I was looking for something to use).My previous repair attempts involved cutting a thin strip of plastic from some product packaging and super-gluing it across the broken part of the vertical blind. It worked, but these repair tabs are easier to use and work better. I can’t believe I waited so many years before finding these on Amazon!

Strong Material, Buy May Need Glue
I purchased these vertical Blind Repair Tabs because two of my blinds tore at the top where the attachment goes. The material on these tabs is very sturdy, but the adhesive did not work as well on one of the vanes. The company sends several wipes to clean the blind at the top before placing the tab. I did this thoroughly on both vanes. One vane is still holding after at least a month, the second vane came down during the night. I used an adhesive on the tab & let it dry 24 hours before reattaching the vane to the plastic holder at the top. It had held with the adhesive. My vanes are patterned on the outside and slick on the inside. I suspect they would work better if the vanes were slick on both sides. The most important thing is that the transparent material that slips over the plastic holder is very sturdy and will not tear easily. I will keep this product and use adhesive if needed for further repairs.

The top part of your hanging blind busted. Whaddaya wanna do?A. Go to a hardware store or a home store, bring a chip or more of the old blind, hope to find a match in size and color, have to buy more than you actually need and spend more money, haul it home, and then in some cases you have to flatten it out for a few hours before you can install.B. Order this, wait for delivery, clean the broken portion, put one of these on each side of the blind, and hang it back up.I’ve had one blind up for over 2 years with 0 problems. And it was about a 2 min fix. And when others break, I have backups.

IMPORTANT FOR DUMMIES (LIKE ME)
This is a great product ONCE YOU USE IT PROPERLY. When you get these, they are on a sheet of Peel & Stick as seen in the photo. Except, the part of the sticky sheet that is in the hole is there too. So when I received it, I peeled out the part that was the HOLE and tried to use it. Yes, it worked for an hour but IT IS THE WRONG WAY TO DO IT. You want to use the WHOLE TAB. Yes, I know, you’re thinking “are you stupid?” Apparently, at that moment in time, the answer was YES. Yesterday, one of my blinds broke so I got out the sticky tabs and as soon as I started to peel off the CENTER HOLE part, I told my wife, “you know, I bet if I got scissors, I could cut some of the whole sticky part and use it instead giving it more holding power. And Then It Hit ME… OH MY GOD. What An Idiot. Its made to be used that way. I’m laughing my head off while I’m typing this as I own some large businesses and can’t believe I was that stupid. SO BOTTOM LINE, they work GREAT (when used properly). So buy them but just be sure to peel and use the correct part. 😀

Small, easy repair kit that saves on vertical blind replacement.
Although I hate vertical blinds, I am living in a rental apartment where these are the window treatments. The blinds are fairly old and several of the slats were broken on the part that attaches to the track. The repair kit is fairly simple, consisting of small adhesive tabs that are placed on the broken area so that the slat can be reinserted into the track. The kit also includes a couple of alcohol wipes to prepare the flat for better adhesion. No problem with installation. Only two issues. Fist, the smallest size of kit offered far more of the tans than I needed (although Iâm sure Iâll use at least a couple more In the future) and, second, had I needed to use many more than the few I did, two alcohol wipes would not have been enough. So if you have a major repair job, I suggest picking up a box of alcohol wipes at your local drugstore or having a bottle of alcohol on hand. Other than that, Iâm very satisfied.
