1.How to Choose Rail Size?
Single Door Rail Length= 2 x Single Door Panel Width.(A little longer will be better)
2.When do you need a headboard?
If the studs don’t line up with the pre-drilled holes in the rail. Attach a header board into your studs first, and then the rail can attach anywhere into the header board.
3.How much space do I need above the doorway?
A: 6″ minimum clearance you’ll need from the top of your door to the ceiling (or crown molding) for this kit to operate.

Great for the price
The instructions are a little lacking, but they are a great product for the price for sure. Very sturdy and easy to install if you are somewhat handy and have an idea of what’s going on. I’d buy them again in a heartbeat.

I only gave a 3-star rating because the door seems to get caught up every once in a while where the sections meet. The slider still works, just not super smooth. For the most part our barn door will be left open, so it’s not a big deal for us, but if you’re constantly using the barn door and opening/closing it could become a nuisance.

Nice cheap kit gets it done.
Prefer a one piece rail but this worked last minute. Holes between sections on 16″ centers. Subtracted a section and hung a 28″ door. Cut and drilled one hole for custom sizing. Rollers are stiff. Precise or over pressed. Time will tell.

Overall, this product does it’s job. I used it for my greenhouse door, so it has held up to rain. I’ve had it installed for about a month now. We will see how long it lasts. Definitely a good product and price compared to other options.
