YEP !! This is the way to go
I’m hanging a 5 barn door project in my house. The first one I bought was a kit/door combo from a major Home Improvement store and it worked nicely, but three of my other four doors were odd sized and the kits were not going to work sufficiently (36″ doors on small 30″-31″ closets). I went back and ordered custom solid core slabs for my openings and was about to purchase THEIR hardware.$174.99 !! Each ! Went to Trusty Amazon and found these. Ordered one to start with.. just to be safe.. and to verify the quality. Couldn’t be happier ! I compared the components to the kit and it’s visually and structurally the same. I hung the door and it went up like a breeze ( I learned a lot on the first one!) Those solid core slabs are heavy as all get out, and it holds it just fine. I just ordered the other three sets so I can put up the other doors ASAP. The shipping is very quick. Barely over 24hrs for me.. that’s fantastic.This is a No Brainer.

So easy to open my cat can do it.
We got the 8 foot bar options.Our door is 40″w x 8’h (1″x4″ pine) so its pretty heavy. We previously (quickly) jerry rigged DIY barn door hardware that was incredibly loud and difficult to move, all because barn door hardware is stupid expensive. We finaly decided to bite the bullet and I figured I would give Amazon a shot. As I said in the review title it is so smooth and easy to move, even our cat was able to be taught how to open it!As for installation I would say this is intermediate level stuff. We had to go the route of using a header board (instructions included), and it wasn’t a quick install ( though I wasn’t trying to rush). The instructions were well written except for one part where it was giving the sequence of bolts, washers, etc… for attaching the rollers to the door, they kind of left out attaching the roller bar itself but I was able to work out where it needed to go in the sequence.ALSO The instructions tell you to add 1.75 inch. to your door length for mounting the bar to the wall, but I would suggest 2 inches. We did 2 inches and only have about 1/4 inch clearance at the bottom, if we had gone with 1.75 inch the door would have scrubbed the floor. And you couldn’t easily move the bar up to remedy the problem since the installation bolts are over 1/4″ diameter.We are EXTREMELY happy with the quality for the price and would recommend this hardware to anyone looking for a less expensive alternative to paying upwards of $300 at places like Home Depot or Lowe’s (that’s just stupid).

Work great outdoors for a sliding shed door
So far these are holding up well outdoors in the sun and rain. Will be a few years before I can report how well they hold up in the long termThese make for a stylish shed door.

Good quality easy to install. i Would recommend using a backer board since the studs may not align with the studs.I bought 2 of these and one of them was missing a spacers and I had to order a new pack of spacers since It was halfway up and I didnt want to take it down.

Fit my requirement perfectly
My ranch house is under construction – this is mounted on what was before an exterior hollow fired clay tile blocks. The installer got the proper bolts and the job got done. I cannot speak to how much effort was involved; but it apparently was not a difficult task. It slides well and provides the esthetic look I wanted. I shopped for the item. This one was well priced and had posted good reviews. I am 100% pleased with the purchase and of course how well it works.

As described
We wanted to be able to close off a large doorway opening between our entry way and living area to conserve heat during cold winter days and nights. We needed two sets of rails so we could have the doors slide by each other. The rails came promptly, were as described, and included all the parts. We had all the prep work done before they arrived, so putting them up took about 30 minutes (full disclosure…we have had experience hanging sliding door rails before). We bought this rail because the price was the most reasonable we could find and we needed two of them. This system DID NOT come with the slide by kit, we had to purchase that separately. We only wish the door hardware was a little more ornate, but that cost significantly more. Project not quite finished, still have some trim work and paint touch ups to do.

This is a really nice barn door kit. The sleekness of the black colour and the sturdiness of the materials is great. We have not had any issues with this since we installed it. Our door slides open and closed wonderfully and the stoppers are not hard on the hardware or loud when they hit. The floor guider is amazing as it keeps the door sliding in one fluid motion and our kids are not able to bang the door on the wall or pull it out from the wall. Worth every penny!
