Product Overview
The Breezehome King Size Bed Frame with Headboard delivers a perfect balance of durability, functionality, and vintage-inspired charm. Engineered to support standard king-size mattresses—specifically those measuring 80″ x 76″—this bed frame eliminates the need for a box spring while offering robust structural support. Its heavy-gauge steel construction and powder-coated finish ensure long-term resilience against wear, moisture, and daily use. The 18-inch-tall platform not only provides a sleek, elevated look but also creates 16 inches of under-bed storage space ideal for linens, seasonal clothing, or household items. Whether you’re furnishing a master suite or updating a guest room, this frame enhances both comfort and bedroom aesthetics with minimal maintenance.
Key Features
- Vintage-Style Headboard and Footboard: The bed’s decorative headboard and footboard feature detailed metalwork that adds timeless elegance to your bedroom decor. This design element acts as a focal point, complementing traditional, industrial, or transitional interior styles without overwhelming the space.
- Heavy-Duty Metal Construction: Built using strong steel tubing and finished with a protective powder coating, the frame resists corrosion and maintains its appearance over time. It can support up to 3500 pounds total weight—far exceeding typical mattress and occupant loads—ensuring reliable performance for years.
- Ample Under-Bed Storage: With 16 inches of clearance beneath the sleeping surface, this frame accommodates regular-sized plastic storage bins or tubs. This hidden storage solution helps reduce clutter and maximizes usable floor space, especially valuable in smaller bedrooms or rental units where every inch counts.
- Noise-Free Operation: Precision-engineered joints and reinforced support bars minimize movement and eliminate squeaks or rattling during sleep. The stable platform ensures consistent mattress support, even on hard floors or with active sleepers.
- Easy Assembly: All hardware is included and made from high-quality components. Most users can assemble the frame independently within 20–30 minutes using only basic hand tools. Clear instructions and pre-installed parts streamline the setup process.

Benefits & Use Cases
This bed frame is designed for practicality without sacrificing style. Its box-spring-free design simplifies mattress installation and reduces furniture clutter, while the solid metal platform offers firm, even support that promotes restful sleep. The generous 16-inch ground clearance makes it especially useful for households that frequently rotate bedding or store off-season apparel—plastic storage containers slide neatly underneath without lifting the entire bed. Despite its industrial strength, the frame’s vintage aesthetic integrates seamlessly into diverse decor schemes, from rustic farmhouse to urban loft. Because it requires no additional foundation, it’s an excellent choice for renters, college students, or anyone seeking a hassle-free upgrade to their bedroom setup.
Additionally, the frame’s low-profile design sits closer to the floor than traditional platform beds, which can be beneficial for individuals with limited mobility or children’s rooms. Its quiet operation ensures uninterrupted rest, even when sharing the space with others who move frequently during the night. The combination of heavy-duty engineering and thoughtful design means you won’t need to replace your bed frame anytime soon—even under heavy use.
Important Notes
No box spring or foundation is required; simply place your king-size mattress directly onto the slatted platform. For maintenance, wipe the powder-coated surface with a dry cloth as needed to preserve its finish. While designed for indoor residential use only, the frame’s robust construction withstands normal household conditions year-round. All necessary hardware is included—no external tools beyond basic hand tightening are needed during assembly. Please ensure your mattress dimensions match the king size specification (80″ x 76″) for optimal fit and performance.

Excellent purchase
This bed frame exceeded my expectations. It was very easy to assemble by myself and it looks great. It is a tall bed frame. The base is 18″ from the floor and my 12″ mattress made the height of the bed 30″. If you are not tall you might need a little step to get into bed. The plus side is that there is plenty of under bed storage. I feel that this frame is great value for the price and it is a good quality piece of furniture.

Beautiful and Sturdy bedframe
I was impressed with the packaging and the design. The assembled product looked beautiful and was very sturdy. My kingsize mattress fit like a glove.I am experienced assembler so here are a few hints.1) Open the box from a long side. (see picture)2) You need plenty of room to assemble the bed frame.3) The instructions are assembly drawings so identify the parts which are labeled. Identify the fasteners which are also labeled. Be sure you are using the correct fastener for each section.4)The first part assembled is the headboard. Followed by the footboard. And finally the centerframe is assembled using the headboard and footboard as structure.5) I assembled the headboard flat on the carpet. You can you a blanket or sheet to protect the bed and the floor if you dont have carpet. I stood headboard up against the wall after it was complete. Be careful not to catch carpet fibers or fabric as you tighten the fasteners.6) Begin each fastener by hand so that you have less chance of cross threading. Attach both fasters but dont completely tighten until all the fasters are started. You can tighten the screws by hand using the wrench provided. [ After hand starting, I used a cordless drill with a torque setting of 5 initally to seat the screw and then a 10 as a final setting. My drill has a max of 20 on it’s settings- you mileage may vary]7) Be careful with sharp points of the parts and fasteners rubbing against finished surfaces. You can easily scratch a finished surface and remove the paint(powder coating).8) Assemble the side rails of the bed frame to the foot board first. This will allow the foorboard to remain upright without addtional support. Then attach rails to the headboard.9) Added the center support last. It’s much easier with the side rails on.9a) The final fastened supports attach the center rails to the side rails. Although the part appears similar on both sides, I found that there was a definite orientation for the center rail to be fastened. (If it’s not connecting quite right, flip the ends and see if it’s better.) Be sure these are securely seated and firmly torqued ( even if it’s just tightened by hand- You wont be able to easily get to these later. )10) You can add the lay-in center cross supports from outside the side rails. They don’t fit tight between outside rail and center rail and they have about 1/8th inch maybe more of play. Don’t be alarmed. If the part is supported by at least 3/8″ on both ends, this should not affect the structual integrity of the frame. Mine had plenty of support. Note: Most were snug bu tnot tight on the capture clips. Be sure to seat them completely.11)Finally, go around the entire bedframe and make sure to hand tighten and retorque all fasters on the outside and tops of the head and foot boards.11a) ( I’m speculating) You may have to check the torque (retighten) the bolts even year or so if they start becoming lost. You can add some red locktite or removable thread locker if prefer. It can be found on Amazon or local hardware stores.Congratulations! You are done! It took me slightly over an hour to do but I stopped to have an ice tea, half way! Take your time and good luck.

King size black metal bed
I really like this bed/ frame. Itâs such a unique design. I think itâs well made and sturdy. My only complaint would be that it was a bit difficult to put together when it came to the brackets that fit together on the head and footboard.

Nice sturdy frame
This is a very sturdy bed frame. I put it together by myself. It was a little tricky in some areas but otherwise no problems. Looks very nice in my son’s room even though that was not the intended room for it. Handles he’s bed jumping nicely.

Some parts may be defective
I love the bed frame and it was relatively easy to put together. My husband & I are in our 80’s and read the directions and followed them one step at a time. Only one big problem. One of the parts that is permanently attached to the headboard part has a defective receiver for the screw to screw into. It was not threaded properly from the manufacture so the screw will not thread into the receiver therefore the headboard can’t be securely put together. All the other 30+ screws were perfect. I tried to contact someone at Amazon to get just the defective part replaced. That is hopeless. I would have given this bed frame 5 stars as it is heavy duty and nice, but now my husband will have to go buy some sort of screw and bolt to hold the parts of the headboard together.

So far so good, will update
Construction was easier than a LEGO set. The screws are packaged with their name and step number so you cannot possibly mix them up unless you dump them all on the floor. Pay close attention to the images and don’t overtighten. I’m about 200lbs and am using a Dreamcloud 14″ hybrid and it seems sturdy with that weight. So far no squeaking but will update the review if it starts to occur. The only thing I would warn about it try not to move the bed a lot (ie across the room) after placing your mattress as the center support leg likes to catch and skid with all the weight on it.

So pleased!
When I opened the box, I found the instructions easily. I used a pen to mark off items and item counts. They included one extra of every type of screw. It was very easy to assemble. I(61F) did it alone. It looks awesome and is VERY sturdy. 18″ clearance underneath allows my 15″ tall plastic bins to slide under easily and I can fit up to ten of them. I love it!!!!
