Benefits & Use Cases

Households that juggle busy schedules or limited kitchen space will appreciate how the Combi Wave consolidates three essential appliances into one reliable unit. The convection oven excels at roasting vegetables, baking bread, or cooking whole chickens with golden, even browning—thanks to its circulating hot air system. Meanwhile, the inverter microwave ensures flawless reheating of soups, leftovers, and beverages without overcooking. Customers frequently praise its role as a “convenient cooking station,” especially when preparing meals for picky eaters or managing multiple courses at once.

The air fryer function works best for smaller batches—think crispy appetizers, roasted potatoes, or lightly fried snacks—though some users note it may not match dedicated air fryers for large quantities or ultra-crispy textures. Still, when paired with the other two modes, it adds valuable flexibility. The preset controls streamline routine tasks; for example, selecting “Cook from Frozen” lets you toss a pre-packaged meal straight from the freezer into the unit with confidence.

This appliance shines in scenarios where speed and variety matter: weekday dinners, entertaining guests, or batch-cooking weekend meals. Its brushed stainless steel exterior complements modern kitchens while remaining durable enough for daily use. Just note that cleaning requires attention—especially around the door seals and interior surfaces—to maintain performance and appearance over time.

Important Notes

While the Combi Wave receives strong feedback for its microwave and convection capabilities, some customers report mixed experiences with the air fryer’s effectiveness and value proposition. Performance may vary depending on food type, quantity, and user expectations. Build quality opinions are divided, with some noting minor inconsistencies in heat distribution or finish durability under heavy use. Always refer to included manuals for care instructions and warranty terms, as package contents (such as trays or racks) may differ by region. For buyers prioritizing crisp frying above all else, a standalone air fryer might still be preferable—but for those seeking maximum versatility in a single appliance, the Combi Wave offers compelling daily utility.

Best controls of any microwave ever!
I’ve hunted for years for a microwave with intuitive controls like this one has. I’m mainly talking about just the microwave feature, although I also had no problem using the controls for the air frying or baking, but my problem there is figuring out which mode and which pan to use and for how long and the temp, which is not a controls issue. Back to the micro controls. You just put your stuff on the plate, stick it in, and push the top time dial for as many times as you need to add up to the minutes, or just once and turn to the right or left to increase or decrease. You can increase or decrease the time at any moment during the cooking, too.You can also increase or decrease the power level at anytime during the cooking (or before, as long as you have closed the door). I do not believe I have ever seen this in any other microwave, and it is super for starting foods off fast then slowing them down if they look like they are getting done but you want the center to cook longer. This is so intuitive and useful! The “a bit more” button is also cool, as it adds more time based upon a percentage of the time previously set. So it’s not always “add 30” but might be as much as 1.5 minutes (I don’t cook for long in the micro, so I do not know if it ever gets more than that.) But if you press it again, you will get a shorter “bit more.” Clever.I do wish there was a button to grill the tops of garlic bread at the end of air frying them, as I haven’t figured out how to get the same crispiness of the crust without drying out the inside of the bread as I get on a “real” oven, yet. Neither air fry or fast combi seems to do it, and bake takes as long as a real oven. There is a grill button hidden behind the door for some reason. I will experiment with that one of these days. I guess they figure most folks won’t use this as a “grill” which is true, but maybe just to crisp up the top of baked goods?edit: I forgot to mention TWO (2) other favorite features. 1. The fan cool off. I have always left my door open a bit after using microwaves to allow the odors and steam to escape and the inside to cool off. This one leaves the fan on for a short time to do that for you so you don’t have to remember to come back and shut the door. 2. speaking of the door, all you have to do to shut it while carrying something with both hands is gently tap it with a shoulder or elbow to get it to move nearly closed and it quietly tugs itself shut! talk about cool!

    Excellent multi-function countertop oven
The combination of functions– microwave, convection oven, air fryer– makes this oven truly versatile and separate devices for these functions unnecessary except for large meals that need to serve many persons. It it quiet, the door closes softly as advertised, with the microwave having an inverter it truly does provide a full 10% – 100% range of power and not the artificial and almost worthless 100% on / 100% off simulation of variable power in non-inverter ovens. And full range of functions with the buttons controlling some of those cleverly hidden inside the door frame so as to keep the face of the unit clean and uncluttered. Plus it’s a beautiful thing. I’m using it many times each day and it’s totally reliable with uniformly good results. The heat distribution on things like microwaving bacon (in paper towels inside a microwaveable plate, takes away much of the fat leaving just the great flavor) could be a little better but that’s a small shortcoming. Very happy to have bought this.

    An Impressive Combination Microwave
I have used this microwave for baking, air frying and microwaving in the short time I had this appliance. I’m impressed with the baking and air frying, which works well. I am slightly disappointed with the microwave power. It takes approximately 10 to 15 seconds longer to heat a cup of water versus my other microwave. However, I microwaved a bag a popcorn by selecting the Popcorn Button and it turned out perfectly in the same amount of time as my other microwave in two and half minutes. So far, this microwave is functioning as advertised and with its additional capabilities I’m impressed with it. This appliance is on the expensive side of similar microwaves; however, I intend to keep it.

Had high hopes for this but it’s disappointing
More updates. It’s terrible. Overall it’s very disappointing product and we own serval from Breville. First the door feels cheap and plastic like. The soft door close is ok but my last one felt more solid when you opened and closed it. Also the air fryer’s lowest temperature is 400. Somethings I air fry cook at 350-375. I used it on some shrimp that said cook at 375. They came out hard and not good with the Breville. You cannot adjust a lot of the preset menu items. Like popcorn. It only has a setting for a 3.2 oz bag. I have individual bags that are 1.2 oz. So they over cook and burn if you leave them in the full time for the larger bag. The microwave also cooks slower than my previous one. So what use to take me 2 mins to cook now takes 2 mins 30 secs to cook. The bell that tells you when it’s done also only rings once, so you run the risk of not hearing it even if you turn it up. My last one ringed about 4 times in a row and then repeated in about 30 secs. I have not tried the combi cook or convection yet but not hopeful that it will be any better. Also there was no clear description of how many watts the microwave was. Depending on the site I found it ranged from 900-1200. I am more inclined to think it’s like 700 based on the slow cooking time for the microwave. And this is all after just owning it a few days. But it does look cute on my counter. But I don’t recommend it. Over priced for what it does. Tried to make chicken nuggets I. The air fryer. Using I cool these at 375 for 10-12 mins. I tried it at 400 and after 10 mins half frozen. Turned it up to 450 cooled another 10 mins. Hot and soggy. Not crispy like my old air fryer. Overall. Don’t buy. I am wondering if I can return it even without the box.
