Heavy duty, well made for a reasonable price
This worked well for an exterior woodshop using the 10 foot rails for a 5 foot door heavy doorIt was my first barn door, so I wasn’t certain of the quality of the product that I would get.The rails and rollers are both made of heavy duty bar steel and it included quite a bit of fasteners for all types of wallsThe directions were brief, but they covered all the key areas for a DIY installerI’m happy with the product and would recommend it. I would certainly get it again for both an interior or exterior use

Really substantial and nice looking hardware
I thought the directions were pretty good, yes there are a lot of sixteenth measurements but as long as the support bar is very level you are probably good. The supports didn’t align to studs so I tore out some drywall and put backing 2x4s in place. I also used a 1×4 hardwood on top of the drywall but the support screws really should go into something solid if possible.I used double thick 3/4″ plywood which worked great (with a faux finish) but was a pain to carry from the workshop.Biggest mistakes:The best way to secure the base is a groove in the bottom, I’m going to take it down and route it- wish I’d done that originally. You can make the width several inches wider than just 36″- the rollers hit a bumper that limits size but the door can extend as far as you want beyond the roller. I wish I’d gone with 40″ rather than 38″ for more overlap.

VERY GOOD DESIGN EXCEPT ONE ISSUE…….
UPDATE: Vendor immediately reached out and offered replacements, EXCELLENT customer service so changing my rating to a full 5 stars. Gr8 job!! Installed without a hitch and I like the design and functionality. The pic below shows how great it looks. There is however one important short coming that the manufacture NEEDS to address. The slide stops have a pair of black bumpers that prevent the metal to metal contact and sound. 4 of the 4 bumpers have fallen out and will not re-seat which is unfortunate. The manufacture needs to redesign them so they do not fall out with normal use. I will upgrade to 5 stars if they have a fix for this issue.

    Vague Installation Instructions
Had a barn door installed in a small, recently remodeled powder room. The room wasn’t really big enough for a standard door and consequently, the door hit the toilet and never opened all the way. This was the perfect solution to our problem. Our contractor had never installed a barn door and was a little disappointed in the instructions included with the hardware. Ultimately he found some videos which answered his remaining questions and the installation was a success. We thought we could use a spare door we already had, but barn doors are taller than standard, so we needed a new door too. Otherwise, the price was right, quality was good, and the new door looks great!~

Nice satin double barn door track.
I’m a carpenter but have never hung barn doors before. I built the doors out of mdf so they are pretty heavy (about 80 lbs) and so the weight helps the rollers to be super smooth. I did not “follow” the instructions because it’s a pretty straightforward installation and a peripheral glance gave me the info I needed (mount the roller hangers 2″ from edge and 1 9/16 from top to middle of first hole). They also sent me a full 8′ track so that I didn’t have to join them together which was really nice. Just leveled, marked and screwed them into the header. All in all, very pleased and so is the customer.Negatives would be that the paint does get dinged up right where you screw in the bolts to the track and the bolts that attach the door to the roller hangers are right in between 3/8 and 1/2″. If you drill it out with a 1/2″ bit you will just have to play around with it to get the doors aligned as it’s kind of sloppy. If it’s the style you’re looking for then I would recommend these.

    Instructions are WRONG
Do NOT mount the wheels 2” down from the top otherwise you cannot get the door on the track. Try 1 9/16” down from the top.Update: The seller reached out to me and made things right. It was an honest mistake that is being fixed. costumer service was great! I recommend this product.

    Looks beautiful
It’s a great price for the length, and there’s no need to stitch two tracks together (as we’d have to do if a track was purchased locally). Looks fabulous. It moves smoothly, and the floor pieces make for excellent control.

funny they send plugs….Always use a nice thick and sturdy board to mount the track to. I used 1.25″ ash hardwood. Mount the hardware to the board and then mount the board to the wall.
